Its been 36 days since I've been at

the job and although it looked like I'd know last night what was going on for work today, it didn't happen. Now it looks like Friday is our best bet. This has been the worst February since I began with this company. Usually, we're pretty busy this time of year. The new company went and tore apart the old computers for more updated machines and added a new OS. I don't see them doing all of that just to close down. I'm hoping to get word about work Friday tomorrow. Did I already say I need to get back to work?💪

Yesterday our service provider somehow shut our living room tv off. So Anne was on the phone getting their attention. They're bringing us a better set box so we can get You Tube on our living room TV now and Anne's good at getting them to give us things like discounts and movie perks for our trouble 🎬

Tonight the Oilers get McDavid back as the boys are going to be meeting the Leafs this evening at the Scotia bank arena.  Should be a good game. I'm not that hopeful the Oilers will make the playoffs this year. I will be rooting for Vancouver if the Canucks get in. Anybody but Calgary, unless they get to the finale 🏒 Anyway that's all for now. 

Busy day Sunday

that began at 9am. Lots of journal soul searching. After that some live streams with Accurate beats and others, then on Accurate's Discord page. Then brunch. This evening revisiting Fl. Studio 20. 

I've been learning Fl. Studio 20 this evening. I've had Fl. 10 producers edition since 2011 and messing around with it off and on. Fl is much cleaner and the work flow better/different the Reason. I'm more comfortable in Fl. So earlier I I'm trying to put together a Trap style beat this week. We'll see how it goes.

This week I could be back to work. For how long I don't know. It could be 7-10 days, hard to say. Hopefully we will be starting up Wednesday. Anyway, that's all for now.

Here we go

again. Wednesday we get another notice under our door from management: They want to come in here and do repairs. Today. Anne was pissed off. So this  morning after having to walk to Home depot for plastic to move knickknacks and paintings and cover plastic...the contractors are still not here. Not to overreact but this is getting crazy now. If they don't start work on what could be a 2 hour job today, Anne will be really pissed off. The problem here is no communication between management here and head office. They put the notice under our door saying they will be here between 8-5 and then call the contractors without getting approval from them first. Sloppy.

Another sad day. Peter Tork of the Monkees passed away at the age of 77. Cause of death at this time is unknown. What's unusual here is that Davy Jones (first of the Monkees to pass away) also died in the month of February. There's just the 2 of them remaining, Micky and Michael. I used to watch the Monkees TV show as it aired not in reruns or syndication and more so on You Tube. I broke the news on You Tube of Peter's passing moments after I read about it as breaking news. I might be one of the 1st that posted the news of his passing on You Tube. R.I.P Peter.

There's a glimmer of hope work will resume next week. Training on the new computers will begin probably the same day. I'm guessing 1 shift of training and the next begin the new project. Normally we're pretty active in January until the end of July. My income tax forms are gradually coming in. I have 2 more pension forms and my job T4 is there. Hopefully they will come in before the end of the month. Anyway that's all for now. Anyway that's all for now.

We managed to fend off the

contractors Friday. Anne doesn't mind if they do this on one of her days off. We realize that it has too be done. We're ok with it but not on the eve of a long weekend.

I never made it down to Commercial lodge yesterday. Anne suggested wait for a Saturday between Band of Brothers. My next Saturday lodge opportunity wont be until Easter Weekend. 

This afternoon I'm chillin relaxing here at home. Later this afternoon, we'll be having our brunch and then its WWE's Elimination Chamber PPV. Should be fun. After that its movie date night, on the couch watching The Black panther. Hopefully, I'll get word this week about upcoming work. I can handle a few more days off but not many more. I'm ok with this job but tbh I'm hoping things pick up sooner then later. Anyway, that's all for now.

Looks like I have the

next 2 weeks off as there doesn't seem to be much work going on if any. That's ok. It gives me the chance to make some music, 🎹 and watch some crappy AHL Oilers hockey. I hope everyone has had a nice Valentines day.  

Tomorrow we got a crew coming in here to make repairs on the ceiling. Our ceiling has been like this for years. management has known about this for a long time

Anne thinks its just a make work project, gives them something to do. She's concerned that because the finish is mostly chalk that when the bits hanging off are removed the workers are going to peal more of it off by accident and its going to be the whole ceiling, causing a huge mess when they sand it down. Management gave us a 24 hour notice, which means they will be here sometime tomorrow. I hope they get it done before the "hockey game" tomorrow. Wait now, watching the repairs dry could be more exciting then watching the Oilers play. Maybe I should get some chips and dip to go along with the event.

Lets see, Saturday morning there is a men's fellowship/breakfast/bible study I attended a couple of weeks ago that I liked at 7am. It usually wraps up about 11am. Then if I hustle, or get lucky and catch the #183 bus I can get back in time, get into my lodge suit and head down to Commercial Lodge. I can have a beverage before they tile. I get to eat for free at the festive board because I'm a visitor😃 Mercifully, since there's no "Oilers hockey" I can get started on a tutorial/beat something thingy. I'm thinking of getting into Eurorack but start off small with something like a 60HP case pictured above. The above case (without the modules) is ~ $120.00 CAD Patch cables are extra of course. I'd probably load mine up with a 4Ms sampler, a VCO, VCA, Clouds, an LFO and Plonk. Power supply just uses wall power. The PS is hooked up to some strips underneath the modules. Lots of fun. Anyway, that's all for now.  

So now it looks like

our Valley line LRT will be a year behind schedule. We're looking at 2021 before the city receives a safety certificate. Its not going to have the same signaling woes as Metro.  Knowing my luck I'll be 70 when Valley is complete 🙄

With Eskimo QB Mike Reilly the Eskimo's won a Grey Cup in 2015 🏈 Now it looks like Reilly has or will be signed with BC Lions. I thought he'd be jumping ship like some of our main receivers for the 2 new US football leagues. Also just announced Eskimo Len Rhodes is leaving. These are uncertain times for Eskimo football fans. And with 27 games remaining in Oilers regular season, and just 6 games out of a playoff spot its not impossible but Oilers are almost last in the league again. But anything can happen. 

This has been one of the worst years for me work wise. I had worked only 8 shifts since the new year. I'm hoping I'll be back for work next week when the new computers get installed. We'll see how that goes. Anyway, that's all for now.

This week not much has been going

on. I went out Monday to buy my special order books at Audrey's. Tuesday was that disastrous Chicago/Oilers hockey game. Wednesday was a right off and last night I got out for lodge. I could have ventured out to another lodge in the same building Wednesday. I probably should have. And of course last night I'm out the Oilers win one in Minneapolis🙄. These guys win one lose 2. Yeesh. Also Wednesday night Anne and I watched the most recent Mission impossible movie MI 6 with Tom Cruise. We loved it. Even better because Telus gave it to us for free.

I've been using Maschine (by Native Instruments) off and on since 2011 but my old laptop just couldn't keep up. Now with a new computer I've had for 9 months I'm itching to get back into it. I hope to get the recent update to Maschine today just to add some new life into this old box. Plus I can take advantage of an expansion I won from a live stream from Accurate beats.

I haven't heard anything from work yet but I'm hoping by next Friday I'll be hearing something. I'm going to a meeting Thursday for Valentines day afternoon. After that I'm going to treat myself to a Wendy's. Other then last nights game, I missed I'm watching a lot of hockey, reading. I need more friends in my life but lately over the last several months my social life has been taken a nose dive since December. Anne and I want to go out to Albert's Londonderry Mall for Family day, so that should be ok. Anyway that's about all for now.

I didn't miss much in

today's Flyers/Oilers game. This is a team sliding into last place over all. There's 29 games left , and the Oilers play tomorrow in Montreal. But at least the Oilers got 1 point.

My breakfast meeting this morning was good. There was about 8 of us. Its always good meeting new people. I didn't have much of an appetite. Seldom ever do in the mornings. 

Over night the temps just plummeted. When I left for my meeting about a 10 minute walk, I was so bundled up, I wasn't cold at all. On the way back however my walk trudging through the snow was like in a white out condition. We got another 2 weeks of this. Anyway that's all for now.
