food moments before midnight. So about midnight this morning (I only eat 2 meals/day) Anne treats me to her spicy home made burritos. She did caution me. I ate them anyway and I had a stomach ache all day up until about 4pm today. Uggh. So before Anne left she buys me a meatball Sub from Subway, with curly fries she put with the sub when she got back.
The Powerball winner that beat the odds to win $758.7 million is going to be hit by charity groups, investment opportunity friends etc is probably figuring out how to fly under the radar. Her biggest mistake was not to protect her identity. After taxes she's still going to get over $330M. Time to hire an attorney. I think the most I ever won by playing the lotto 6/49 was $10, but $330M? Crazy. My first Alberta Seniors Benefit came in this morning at less then 1000% of that and I thought I was excited.
A few days ago, I put together a Novation Circuit video using my new Roland Go Mixer. The You Tube video, was just me messing around with Circuit. I tried playing around with Korg Gadget on the iPad 2 but there were too many artifacts, pops and clicks. The iPad 2 cpu just couldn't keep up to Gadget. I have a few immediate bills to pay off but I think once I get back to work is to get a bluetooth selfie stick. Anyway, that's all for now.
though it had it's ups and downs. On the down side the Oiler's lost (again) dropping their 6th straight. On the plus side I got a free ticket on my lotto 6/49. Speaking of, which somebody here in Edmonton won Friday's $50 million Lotto Max millions! Usually these large amounts are won by a group of people at the workplace. On my 2nd job it was announced for those that have signed up for the lottery they didn't play this round because the office broke for Christmas on the 20th. It's ironic that the office that didn't play is living in the city that won the $50 million. Saturday nights 6/49 draw was for $5 million but because nobody won, it climbs to $11 million. Winning $11 million would be a great way to start the new year. I'd split half of that with my wife, give all my immediate siblings something and live off the rest.

I'm discovering more interesting details about my family all the time. I learned my father was married twice before. My mother was his 3rd wife! I was kind of worried I was conceived out of wedlock but my parents were married a year before I was born. I thought my father grew up in El Centro California but he grew up in Vernon BC during the 1930's.
Today I'm up at 11am just to go over a bit of email and out there door shortly before noon so I can be at the office by 1pm. I'm there from 1-8 today but I get a half hour and 2 ten minute breaks. Add a couple of bathroom breaks in there to stretch my legs and it'll be a fast shift. Anyway, that's about all for now.
it easy. The highlight of my day was the Oiler's winning in OT. I also used Paypal and bought a VST plugin from Waves factory but I don't know where it's located in my Kontakt player. I have all day today to find it.
It's confirmed,Google Glass will be here this year but at a price of $1,500! Google made over $10 Billion in 2012, you'd think they could lower the price to something like $600. Apple is most likely working on their own version. I can't use this product because I have about 70% vision loss in my right eye. When Google cranks up the production of Glass I hope they have an upgrade to change lense
s from right to left. That'd work and drop the price to about $500. This product has the potential to destroy the cell phone and tablet before it's third competitor enters the market. This is the next big thing.
A couple of days ago I came across this link to a Star Wars Lego X-Wing fighter. The kit has something like 1,558 bricks. It's got amazing detail. I kind of like the Lego Star Wars genre. I might even get a gaming console just to play this genre. Oh the cost to this kit is $200! Too rich for me.
Tonight on Coast, the topic is on Scientology. To bad we can't upload it to another form of media like iTunes. Speaking of which this afternoon I'm heading across the street to Future shop to pick Anne up an iTunes card and me that USB hub. Speaking about iTunes, I just went and bought my first song from the iTunes store: Weird tales from the Ramones: "Time bomb" by the Ramones. It was priced at .99.Most songs as of this writing are $1.29.
I think maybe Wednesday night depending how I feel I might head over to the Army & Navy in Londonderry Mall, as even though we're about to head into Spring in a few short weeks, I don't have toques for what's left of this winter. Besides I can get out have a bite to eat and a beer, the bus that picks me up outside the mall drops me right off by our place.
Good news bad news: Bad news I didn't win the $16M in last nights 6/49. Good news, nobody else did either. It means that Wednesday's draw goes to $21M.
Not much going on this week. I've got Monday night Raw and the Oiler game the same night. I like Raw because their long commercials are a great chance for me to catch the Oiler action but there's a lot of behind the scenes stuff as well WWE fans can catch on one's tablet or smart phone.
Other then TV Monday, Shopping Wednesday, and On Thursday the Oiler's are in Dallas. All games on Sports net. Good stuff. Anyway, that's about all for now.
$16M last Wednesday, in an interview yesterday, he said he was shocked when he discovered he won! He bought a quick pick at a 7-11. Usually large amounts like that are won by a group of people. It showed him and his girlfriend receiving the check. I wonder if she's worried he's going to take off on her. They aren't married or anything. If I was in her situation, I'd be worried as well. She probably isn't saying this out loud but I bet secretly inside she's thinking, "How much am I going to get of that?" There is assurance from the lottery corporation a husband and wife always splits the winnings, they always investigate things like this but what kind of assurance does the girlfriend get?
One of my previous co workers dropped me a face book private message saying staff at my previous place of employment are going to meet for a Saturday afternoon get together. I replied saying I’d be there and I will, to play catch-up and see what everyone is doing. I’m probably the only one of the gang not yet working. This colleague of mine, like me also likes the Star Wars novels. We’re huge Star War’s fans.
Last night’s hockey game a Rexall place was the Edmonton Oiler’s 34th home opener. The Oiler’s received 2 soft penalties against them giving the Shark’s 2 quick goals. Yakapov got his first goal and after that the Sharks were the better team giving the Oiler’s a 6-1 shellacking after the first period! Yikes. Dubnyk, let in a few soft goals as well having a bad first start. He's usually better then that. After a goal tender change, N. Shultz got a goal in the 2nd and so did Hall. That was about it. Denis played a lot better then Dubnyk and shut the Sharks down. I enjoyed the game anyway despite the outcome. Thursday LA Kings come to town.
On the news earlier there was a story about the floundering film industry in Vancouver. Vancouver and the Province in general used to be the place to be for the film industry to produce movies. Vancouver used to be called Hollywood North. Lately though that's not the case. There's been lay offs film companies leaving etc the Province for other places. The Movie "Total recall" for example was shot in the Province of Ontario because Ontario gave film producers lots of tax breaks to work in that Province. Vancouver always thought the BC scenery alone would be enough incentive to keep the film industry alive in that Province. High provincial taxes basically chased the industry away finding a home in Ontario.
We‘re going to have another Civic election coming up in October. I hope Mayor Mandal run‘s again. In all the 35 years I‘ve lived here in Edmonton, Mandel has been the best Mayor since Lawrence Decore. Mandel can run for a fourth term but any Mayor after this can only go for 3 terms. Anyway, that‘s about all for now.
