Not a bad day yesterday.

I didn't do much today. Mostly You Tube stuff. 

It was Glenn that told me (before I got to Chapter) he did the music off his phone. For some reason I had it in my head, "the only way this would work for me is with my iPad." Well, I only had the phone for 2 years now, and lugging the iPad with the keyboard is heavy. Plus the speaker. My phone recognizes the bluetooth speaker. A.U.M. (Audio Unit Mixer) is installed and even Audio Share. Both apps work hand in hand. The only snag is this iPhone needs a lightning adapter.

 It's not USB C. But Amazon has them availible. I'd rather carry my iPhone/speaker with me, rather then my heavy iPad pro. I'll bring my iPad Thursday, in case there is a snag some where. I need a lightning male and USB A female. so I can transfer files.

My bus to Capalino

mall around 11am was slow. I decided if I wanted to go to getmy business done at Long & McQuade, (LM) set up the payment plan, auto pay etc, could take time. I ordered a Co-op taxi instead. I was certain the fare was about $15-$20. What with the LRT shut down from Churchill, a cab made the most sense.

As my cab headed North along Wayne Gretzky drive, the traffic to the Edmonton sc-fi Expo was heavy. My fare to LM was $17. I gave an undiscoosed $ tip. When I go there the sign on LM wall said Sunday 12-5pm. Yeesh. I had a bit of a wait, and a small Window 12-1pm

I was surprised to learn that LM does not open accounts on software. There goes the other installment. $317. Oh well, at least I don't have a monthly bill. I caught another cab from LM to Highlands Hall for Chapter Practice. I was able to get a ride back. Otherwise instead of about 3pm, it'd be ~ 5pm. This was an expensive month. I think if I knew I could not have got Omnisphere 3 on LM's credit plan, I probably never would have bought it. Ah well, learn and live. Anyway, that's all for now. 

Our annual sci-fi genre

Edmonton Expo is underway. I don't recognize any writers or artists. Would be nice to have someone like Brandon Sanderson or Kelley Armstrong, just to name a few. Armstron was here in 2019. I'd love to go just to be part of the vibe, but health wise I just couldn't manage it.  Most likely my friend Ellen is at the Edmonton Expo this weekend.

My commute to BoB is a no show this morning due to LRT closures. The Capital line is fully closed between Churchill and Clareview all weekend for track renovations at Coliseum station. Unlike previous weekends where one track remained operational, they are relying entirely on replacement buses all weekend. 

My weekend isn't a complete loss though as the Elks are in Toronto playing against the Argos. The Oilers play in Winnipeg but that's only on Oilers+ I'm not paying $10 to watch a couple of preseason games. Anyway, that's all for now.

Our outing at Rickies Mill

Creek was good. Not a fan of their breakfast sausages, but it was a good outing. 

I got 2 new meds from our new Doctor yesterday. I wanted to get something for a yeast infection I have in the groin area. Then, a muscle relaxant for my restless leg syndrom RLS. For RLS I got something called Cyclobenzaprine. 42 pills. The instructions on this med is to take half a tab then the other half and a full one. I decided to take a full one an hour before, a banana, a muffin. By 5am I was tired enough

for sleep. The Cyclobenzaprine felt more like a Melatonin then a muscle relaxant. I got a good 6 hours of sleep after that but felt drowsy even up to an hour later. The other med I got was for the Yeast infection. Ketoderm. Before bed I applied that to the infected area. This morning, it seemed to work. Both meds were a total of $13.😮

I went and ordered Omnisphere 3 about an hour ago and paid for half of it over the phone. When I'm in the store, Saturday, I'll put the balance on my account. Should bring the  payments down to about $25-$30/month. Easy. Anyway, that's all for now.

This afternoon, we're

at a near by undisclosed medical clinic. Its baskically a meet and great. I'm hoping I can get get 3 perscriptions, assuming they are covered under alberta seniors. 

After that we're heading over to Rickies to get a bite to eat for our monthly outing. We haven't been at this location

since last October when we were suggested to share a "Grand slam" breakfast. My hashbrowns were uncooked both times.

The Oilers played Calgary for the first of I think its 3 pre season games. Oilers won 6-1. I don't think it was televised on Sports net. I think this could be the last season here for Conor McDavid. Anyway, that's all for now.

I hope my new banner

Isn't to crowded. Its to reflect most aspects of my life. #1 outside of my life is Anne of course. I think it looks a bit cleaner. 

Not much going on this week. We have our Doctors visit on Tuesday, and I hope I can get a perscription for my jock itch a muscle relaxant. With my health number, the Doctor will be able to see the results of my most recent X-ray, and my A1C done from April. I'm also going to call set up Home care and this morning get Omnisphere 3 set up to pick up after FCC Saturday morning. 

Also, I think our last work project was my last project with the company. My last job, period. Officially to myself, I resigned from the work place. If a new project makes itself availble, I'll pass long enough for the staff party to make it official. Anyway, that's all for now. 

Last nights Calgary

@ Elks CFL game was a wipe out. We scored first but Calgry had the lead for a bit. Calgary turned the ball over 5 times and we got points on each one. Calgary just couldn't anything going. Finale score was 53-16 Elks. The lower bowl was completely sold out. 30,000 fans showed up. Elks swept the labour day classic improving Elks record 10-3. Elks are in Toronto this Saturday against the Argo's 1pm. Look out for that one! 

I've been wanting Omnisphere 3 since 2. I think today I'm going to put it on my account, and set it up over the phone before they close today. My location probably 

doesn't have it in stock when I asked about it a month or so ago. I think I'll go pick it up after BoB Saturday and then head for home to watch the game. It's on @ 1pm. 

Next month is my last AASR Friday night before Consistory and my 32°. I'll be able to witness all 3 Lodge of Perfection, Rose Croix, Consistory. I want to begin to take chairs. I imagine it starts with lodge of perfection. etc. Next month is busy with the above and then balloting for DDGM. Lots going on. Anyway, that's all for now.     

Today marks the

25th aniveray of 9/11. It was on this day (Tuesday) when Two planes, hijacked by Islamic jihadists vowing death to all Americans terrorists collided both planes into both towers, Flight 73 and one into the US Pentagon. I was just coming into work on the bus at Xentel. I was 49 years old. I wasn’t even a Mason then. Anne and I were living at Capital Place apartments. She was training at the Royal Canadian Legion at the time. Crazy days. I still had Silky/Pledges. Lots of memories. 

This evening ~ 6:30pm, Gord is picking me up for Scottish Rite (Rose Croix) The festive board is free. It's usually a 2 hour meeting. In and out. I'm home by ~ 9:30pm and I'll be able to watch Smackdown. Saturday at 5pm, is the Labour day classic rematch. Calgary

Last night Anne decided to

take a dry run, or to reconnoiter a trip to Mill Woods Tims at Main Street mall. She said the difference between the Mill Woods location and Corona Station Mill woods, is like 30 minutes. That's actually pretty good. if we get on that Drive Happiness program, she won't need to worry about that any more. Its a flat rate, not billed like cab. This would be great to take me to Al Shmal.

I was watching this bit on local news that the South East Seniors Association (Holyrood) has a lot of programs. 

They have a music program. I'd love to learn how to play Saxaphone or something. Looks like they are very busy.

Yesterday afternoon I got this free App called Pendulum. It not only works with iPhone/iPad but also works on the desktop. Its a genreative. Create mesmerizing pendulum music! One of the most

difficult things I've ever had to do with computers is to sign into my Microsoft account. It's not a straight forward process. My work job relies on Microsoft Teams. 

Its not so much Microsoft but I'm getting to the point that my work is cutting into my rent. The Alberta Government claws back what I make. Not just that, but my energy level is dropping. I'm lucky I get 5 

hours of sleep over 2 sessions. A 5 hour shift on this old man just about wipes me out. I got one more work project in me and that's just going to be 3 days/week, 3 hour days. I'll make an announcement at the Christmass staff party and bring my work laptop. 

Friday night I have my monthly Scottish Rite to go to, and after that Smackdown rewind when I get home. Saturday is the Calgary/Elks labour day classic rematch. Looks like a nice week and weekend shaping up. Anyway, that's all for now.

I have some memories

of 1970. I was at home listening on our radio intercom the break up of The Beatles. I was in shock that weekend. I recall going to that camping trip with a friend of mine, to "Otter lake." Not sure where that even was. I remember I shit my pants along the way. I had no money but Lemonaid was a dime at the resturant they had. I was still in HS Centennial 1970. We were at Regan Ave in those days.

Yesterday's Elks at Calgary CFL game, started out slow for the Green & Gold. Keep in mind Elks had 16 days off, and were out of sync the first half. First Quarter was 0-4 Stamps. 2nd Q 14-7 Stamps. Did that long layover do us in? 3rd Q 211-14 4th Q Elks got 17 points. Elks ended up winning 31-28. Elks Host the Stamps again Saturday 5pm. Looking forward to that one.

I think this next work project will be my last. Not that I don't like the job, but its cutting into my Alberta pension. The job is hard on me as its draining me. Anyway, that's all for now.

WWE's Sunday night main

event wasn't bad but it was kind of Lame. The Vision match was unexpected. The main event was as well. On a scale from 1-5, I'd rate it at 3pm.

I'm having trouble signing into my Microsoft Outlook accout. When it asks for my recent Password change it says cant sign in. 

I've watched a lot of you tube videos about this. It seems the only way to sign in is through a code and even then getting that is hit and miss. I'm sure Microsoft is aware of this issue. 

                                                         

This afternoon at 4pm is the CFL Labour day Classic. Elks/Calgary (4pm today) and Friday Elks host the Stampeders at Comminwealth. We might even sweep this series. 

Sorry I haven't been posting

lately. It's been an interesting couple of days. Lodge last night was "educational" from my POV. Apparently, the DDGM does not have officers, it's the District Grand Master that has appointed officers. I think the more Masonic bodies I belong to will get me noticed more often. Up next Cryptic Rite. Part of Royal Arch system. 

Cant think of a graphic to add to this post. Other then that not much going on this weekend, thank God. Although anything can happen at anytime. Expect the unexpected. Anyway that's all for now.

I slept for much of the

afternoon yesterday and after dinner, I ended up watching Monday night Raw, which was over by 7:45pm. What with WWE's Main event Sunday is probably why the abreivated show last night. IDK.

Over 2 sessions I had just over 7 hours of sleep yesterday. That was aided by a Malatonin assist. But a bite to eat 

and a massage of my lower legs before bed helped to keep the RLS wolves at bay

Right now, I'm sipping my "sleep tea" as Anne calls it, a bit of You Tube, up out of the chair to get my steps. I usually like to do 1500 steps before bed, and minimum of 2k steps per day. Anyway, that's all for now. 

It seems the longer I

sit in this chair, the more it settles down and the noises it made dissolves. One thing is certain, I need a new chair. Anne suggested I need an office chair from a place that specializes in office chairs. More on this later. 

I didn't think I would need to be in the EA degree team Thursday because there is normally not any music for this degree. It  was suggested to me that there is a portion of the degree where background music would be helpfull. I found some nice up beat music and I just need it to fit it into the degree structure. Easy enough to do. 

A close friend of ours and in our group is receiving home care. Our friend recomended this to me. I have issues with my toe nails as with my weight its hard to have them trimed. Anne does them for me occasionally. I need to call these people to see if I can get some help and have them trimmed off once every 2 weeks, when Anne is out shopping. She deosn't like strange people coming into our apartment. I hope to be setting this up, sometime durring the week. Anyway, that's all for now. 

If it wasn't for CFL

football in the summer and Oilers hockey in the winter, most of my time is spent at the computer, news at 11-12 back on the computer You Tube, my music channel, and retro gamming. 

I've been invited for cards 3 days a week in the main floor lounge, but this RLS has. Irene next door has a small group going. 

I think she does this after "Coffee Club." I might do this in the winter. The game they play is Bridge or Wyst, which I've never played before. 

I've got a feeling that after lodge, I'll be back at work but I'm making my availibility for just 3 days a week. At 74 years old I'm closing out that portion of my life. This could be the last project as it cuts into my rent the more money I make the Alberta Government claws back from the AG pension. As a senior I really need to watch my income. Anyway, that's all for now.

Looks like my day

tomorrow is free. I'm not doing anything in Lodge Thursday other then open and close, it seems.

I'm seriously considering an account for the Audio Technica AT2020USB-XP Cardioid Condenser USB Microphone. Not only is it USB but sound monitored is from the mic itself via a headphone input on 

the mic itself. Also this mic has a built in audio interface. I've had Audio Technica mics before but the last one was an XLR mic input. This mic goes right to the sound card in the computer via USB.  

Anne left out of here to get milk. She didn't say where, Safeway or Capilano mall. Anyway, that's all for now.

The dog days of

summer. Translation: Not much going on. Sunday is lodge practice. Thursday is Lodge. 

Yesterday morning I woke up about 11am with a Melatonin pill in my system. Then back to bed about 2pm for an hour and a half. No game play nothing. I hope to get more into the Pokemon game today.

I've been thinking about Band in a Box. Apparently Long & McQuade has it or a license to provide a digital license for it. Might be interesting. Anyway, that's all for now. 

It took me awhile

but I finally found the Retrobat instalation folder on my computer. I can finally install softwear versions of games on the coputer.

Not much going on around here lately. Or for this week. Next Sunday is our last Lodge EA° practice run and I want to get ready for that, then it really gets heated up. Practice Sunday, Lodge Thursday, Scottish Rite Friday. 

This week I've been wanting to check out that Doctor nearby because I have a yeast infection and my psoriasis is acting up on me. Plus I need an OTC script for a mussel relaxant for my restless leg syndrome. Anyway, that's all for now.

I was already to go to the

board of general purposes meeting Saturday afternoon. I felt I had enough sleep; I shaved, filled up my bottle of diet cola. Then I read on the TC chat there were something like 14 steps in the building where the meeting was being held. Similar to Banister. I replied that I don't think I could make it because of the long flight of stairs. Then I realized, wait: I'm not bringing my backpack with my iPad etc.  I sent a note in chat that with my apologies. I had a blond moment.

I remember the first couple of years of our marriage when Anne had the car while we were at Capital place. About every other weekend we'd go the Eastglen leisure centre for their Saturday evening adult swim. I got to thinking about something like that again maybe around here.  There is the Bonnie Doon Leisure centre just down the road and they have a Friday late night swim to midnight. That's something similar. I should check into that for us. Cost is $8.50 Seniors. We don't have the car anymore but when we get on the Drive happyness program, it's something to think about. 

No diary entry today. I'd like to cut down on that as well. Get more into my gaming and music even though I cut Sonic pass. it was just costing way too much. Anyway, that's all for now. 

Well that was nother

birthday come and gone. I got a lot of birthday well wishes from family and lodge brothers. They don't have that in Chapter. Anne's back to being her old rude and obnoxious self. 

I had a good time watching wrestling and then the Winnipeg/Elks game. for the first half it was all Winnipeg, 16-6. I went to watch the rest of wrestling and resumed the game in the 2nd half when wrestling was over. In the 2nd half Elks tied the game and both

teams exchanged field goals 19-19. In the last minute of the game it was ELks football, and we drove the ball to the Winnipeg 40 yard line, where our kicker Blanchard made the 3 point field goal, with 3 seconds left in the game making it 19-22 Elks.What a win. That puts Elks at 8 Wins 3 loses.

I'm out of here at ~ 2:45pm to get to Davis LRT Station where our lodge secretary said. He would pick me up. We're having Board of General purpose meeting with me and a bunch of the brethren at an undisclosed location. It's a 2 hour or so meeting. Gets me u tof the house. Anyway, that's all for now.   

Most of my Sunday afternoon

was spend sleeping. I had got about 3 hours from 5:30am-9:00am. RLS took up most of that time. I usually take a Melatonin pill, twice a week. These are half strength pills. Quite often, they fail too work. When they do, they do the trick. 

My next Amazon purchase is a pair of micro SD cards. Specifically the 128Gb San disc. My Anbernic RG35XXPlus has 2 micro sd card slots A twin pack is $91. Not to bad. Add $16 for Trumps fee.

Next Sunday we're holding an EA° practice at an undisclosed location. As musical director, I don't think the organist (Musical director) is doing anything in this degree. We're holding another practice the week of at the same undisclosed location. I'll hit John Slade up for suggestions later today. Anyway, that's all for now.

Not much going on today

I hope to be in bed by 5am, up by 9-10am. Normally RLS hijack's my efforts to sleep and it can take 30 minutes to an hour to get to sleep for 3 hours, up for about 2 and back to bed for a few more hours. It takes me 2 sessions but I can get ~ 5 hours of sleep. I have all 4.

Yesterday's Argo's at Elks was slow. Things  exploded in the 2nd half. Argos turned the ball over about 4 times and Elks got a pick 6 for 7 points. 27 points on Argo turnovers. Elks are now 7-3 in the West. Game finale was Argos 12 Elks 48. Makes up for that loss last weekend against the Al's. Next game is August 21st, my birthday as Winnipeg Blue Bombers are in town. Can't wait.

Yes, I'll be 74 years old Friday. You can always send me birthday greetings via messenger. Cash donations are always accepted, lol. Anyway, that's all for now.

I had a decent sleep

over night by 3 & a half hours and an afternoon nap for another 2 hours. I get the minimum 5 hours sleep but that sleep is spread over 2 sessions. 

I've had my cell phone for over a year now, and its been really handy. I took a video and a photo while I was outside about 6pm and posted each to my Facebook page. 

I'm 73 years old here and will be 74 next week on the 21st of this month. Anne wants to take me out for dinner at a place of my own choosing, near or on the date. I'm thinking iHop Southpark. We like that location. At the moment, I'm in good spirits.

One thing I like when Anne goes out on her 5 hour shopping excursions, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (assuming she does) is I get some time to myself. A lot  of this time lately, I'm just on You Tube, my diary, that sort of thing. Anyway, that's all for now.

This week I need to get

to a Doctor. I have this rash that's just under my left ear below the neck It's not painful like Shingles or anything but it is annoying. About 5am before bed, I applied some of that psoriasis ointment to it. I need about 3 applications to clear up even forehead psoriasis. If this isn't cleared up by Wednesday, Thursday I'll go to the walk in clinic. It's one bus ride there and back. 

Lithium battery news has been trending. These lithium batteries are ubiqutious but more especially in things like cell phones tablets that sort of thing. A few days ago there were several fires in Calgary caused by eScooters. The over heating process is called thermal runway.

Two homes in Calgary were affected by eScooters parked to the house. How common is it for cell phones and tablets to catch fire? Google says, "While billions of smartphones and tablets are in daily use, actual fires or explosions are statistically uncommon. When incidents do occur, they usually involve external factors like physical drops, uncertified accessories, or severe battery degradation rather than spontaneous combustion. For instance, a CBC report on Health Canada data noted a relatively small number of reported phone and accessory fires nationwide over a multi-year period compared to the massive volume of active devices. Lithium batteries are a problem.

Tonight it's Monday nite Raw in the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia. Next week it's coming here. Not sure which brand, Red or Blue. I remember JT, Don Brown his roommate and I went to see a WWF event here in Edmonton. That was in 1990. Tickets were between $10-$20. These days tickets in Rogers place arena are between $104-$123 baseline. Inflation or just TKO greed? Anyway, that's all for now. 

I'm not sure but I think

event organizers had added Thursday night to the folk fest weekend. it could still be Friday. Saturday & Sunday. In case today is the l ast day because they need Monday/Tuesday to clean up the site. 

It took me a couple of days to set up OBS on my computer. Except for My camera, it's not to bad. I need a better lense. 

I'm a few days in and I'm liking this Vobaga coffee warmer. Anne was pissed about my coffee mug microwave "explosions" for a small ammount of coffee. I've beenlooking for one of these warmers for a long time. I think this is a keeper.  Anyway, that's all for now.

The Edmonton folk fest

is Well underway. Day 3 underway. Even though we're practically next door, I've never been to this event. These days I couldn't do the standing even though most people bring lawn chairs. I'm not a folk music buff enough to enjoy it. 

After consulting the schedual, the Elks/Montreal game is at 1pm Edmonton time. We're 6-2/Al's are 7-1. We definatly need this W this afternoon but the Alouette's are a strong team. with their QB @ Completions/Attempts: 197/275, Passing Yards: 2,788 Touchdowns:14 Our guy Fajardo: Completions/Attempts: 194 / 270 (71.9% completion rate) Passing yards: 2,577 yardsTouchdowns / Interceptions: 14 TDs / 4 INTs

I'm moving a little slower these days

as in a few weeks, I'll be 74. I'm getting up there🤣As of a few days ago, I was doing 3k steps/day but it was getting harder on me. I needed to make some changes. I decided a worthwhile goal is to get up once an hour and do some steps. My new goal is 1k/day min, and get up and move once an hour.

Over the past few days I've been working on my mic/camera setup with OBS (open broadcast studio) which seems to be the industry standard for live streaming and producing videos for You Tube. I had this working before we m oved last year, so now, I'm setting things up again. 

I've been wanting to get more into my gaming and I haven't even connected my Anbernic RG35XXSP concole to the TV yet. Last week I got the mini hdmi cable, so I hope to try it out this afternoon. Anyway, that's all for now.

I received my Amazon

order just as Anne was coming back from her trip to Clareview Costco. It was a birthday present for myself.

Anne hadn't face timed with her sister Pat in awhile, so it was good we were we're able to touch base and all. Anne used to do that with her on a weekly basis. We exchanged contact information, since we were unable to chat with her since our move from that fire trap Windham last year. 

I've been wanting to do some coloring book art projects/over head shots. I'd like to scan something in and use my iPad. I have Procreate.  Its very versityle.

I bought the book Tarot Archetect (Amazon order) by Lon Milo DuQuette. It has line drawings of his Tarot deck and coloring suggestions. He suggested we make this project our own and customize it anyway we want. Anyway, that's all for now.

I was watching

WWE Summerslam Saturday and following the Riders/Elks game, at Commonwealth. There was a delay of game due to rain. That worked out good because Summerslam Saturday was over as the 2nd half returned. We lost the rubber match 28-26. Riders were determined to at least tie the series. Riders are back here October 24th. I think. Then there is Summerslam Sunday. Looking forward to this.

And finally from me, I got no place to go this week. However I'm considering a trip to Long & McQuade to get a USB microphone. I've been using the AT&T mic for years until I think it got lost in the move. AT&T makes good microphones. Anyway, that's all for now.

I got Summerslam Saturday on at 4pm, and the CFL RIders are @ Commonwealth today at 5pm. I'll be following the Elks game and watching Summerslam, yeesh. Then there is Summerslam Sunday as well. Good times.

August 1 to 3 at the recently rehabilitated Hawrelak Park. Organizers are hoping for no rain, as the festival isn't set up for that.

Wow, a day without rain😲.I might soil my diaper, I'm so surprised. The sad part about all of this 500+ rain for July, is the mosquito's are going to hang around longer. 

Today sometime between 1 & 4pm, we're having the inspectors pay us a visit. They do every other month. It's rough on because she works today. That and its the last day of July. Anyway, that's all for now.

I was about ready to

settle in for a nice relaxing day, when suddenly Anne says, "We're going to try out Stacked! Mainstreet Millwoods." This was about 1:40pm. I didn't think there would be enough time. It was just one lrt ride away. We got there about 2:15pm. It was nice. I didn't like how they served my diet cola in a can and I had to ask for a glass. that was the only

drawback. We'll go back again. Denny's is better.

Looks like our massive July rain extravaganza has tappered off. I decided to go out for a bit of air, because I wasn't bothered by the mosquito's earlier. As soon as I got outside, I got swarmed like Ukranian drones hitting a Wildberries wearhouse. Anyway, that's all for now.

This has been the most wetest

summer we have ever had here in Edmonton since 1914. A typical summer here in Edmonton brings about 213–214 mm of rain across June, July, and August combined. This year, the city has already received more than a normal year's worth of total precipitation since June. In July almost 500mm of rain. In al my nearly 50 years here, I've never seen so much rain. It almost reminds me of being back home in Vancouver

One of these days Anne wants to try Stacked. It's a breakfast alternative to Denny's. Not that Denny's is bad. Stacked is right across the street from the Mill Woods LRT. So is Tim Horton's.😀 

Yesterday I thought I'd sign up to Substack but after checking it out its just a hosting site for people to get you to subscribe to their content. no thinks. Anyway, that's all for now.

Depending on how much sleep

I get, I hope to head out to get my compression stockings. Since the weather promises to be kinder on the body.

Tonight, it's Monday night Raw, and tring to sort out my Fender account woes. Setting up an account for Fender Studio Pro, is simmilar to Microsoft.  Such a headhache. But for Cad $20/month is a good deal. Anway, that's all for now. 

I don't mind Fl. Studio

but I want to try something different. I've been hearing a lot about Personus. Now Fender Studio Pro 8.  This thing is a beast. It has Tonality stem separation, its got a cleaner work flow. I even like the Impact One Drum machine.  For $289, it's a pretty good idea. I might pick it up this week put it on my account at Long & McQuade. We'll see, As far as I know its just a licnese and a USB stick. 

This week, the plan is too pick up the software then go get my compression stockings. And if there is time visit with that Doctor. I have Monday night Raw, tomorrow night, Elks Thursday and Smackdown Friday. Looks like a good week.

We had an intense thunder lightning storm last night. Lots of rain. I think this is the most rain we've had in July for a long time. Also, our local weather looks like its going back to the mid 20's. Anyway, that's all for now. 

It's been so hot

around here and my restless leg Syndrom, has affected my days. No energy to do anything. I did however, make a few phone calls, to ask the pharmacy to hold my stockings until next week. I paid for them over the phone. Also I called the registry about the Government ID.

The highlight of my week was watching the Elks win over the Riders. If anyone can miss a 57 yard field goal for a 2 point lead its the Elks on a critical game.

As I write this, we're getting a nice thunder storm. Torents of rain Anyway that's all for now.

I'm thinking about heading out

I called the vendor about my compression stockings. I asked if I could pick them up next week when the weather would be a bit more comfortable, instead of this +29°-+30°C, if I could pay for said stockings over the phone. I did, and I can come pick them up anytime. Excellent. Weather next week is forecast to be about +22-24°C.

Elks Win over the BC Lions last week, brought the Green & Gold to first place in the West for week 7. I don't know if the CFL keeps win loss stats for each week. Would be interesting to know. 

I had a nice relaxing day. The only issue with the compression stocking vendor is they don't deliver. Anyway, that's all for now. 

My plan is to get to the

Alberta register, Capilano Mall location and update the new Government ID. Its $54, which isn;t to bad. They close at 6pm. Also my compression stockings are ready for pickup at a nearby location. Also, I found a medical clinic nearby. I spoke with them earlier. One bus ride there and back. Good deal. 

I checked to see if my Anbernic RG35XXSP came with a micro sd card, that contained the system. it did. 

I forgot to do some research to see if the console took micro or mini HDMI so the games can output to the monitor. I have a Micro but not a mini. I'll need one of them as well, and I'll be placing that order today, and the BT earbuds. Should be about $60.

I'm going to need the ear pods so I can connect them to my iPhone. Reason so I can have some ambient music to aid in my sleep apnea. I think I have Central Sleep Apnea CSA due to my scoliosis. This less common type occurs when the brain fails to send the proper signals to the muscles that control breathing. In CSA, the airway is not physically blocked; rather, the body makes no effort to breathe for brief periods. 

I haven't played around with my

Anbernic RG35XXSP console yet. I hope to sometime today. I'm not going to Install MuOS at the moment. 

I think what I'm going to do this week is to get the updated Alberta ID at the registry over here by Capilano mall and then go to the clinic across the street on Terrace Road. I think I have a yeast infection. At least that's what Anne tells me. I'm hoping at the clinic I can get an OTC script for that, if its covered by Alberta seniors. I also need to ask about my sleep apnea and RLS.

I've been doing some initial research and I'd like to get into Bhakti yoga. I've been doing Pranayama (breath yoga) recently to help me focus. I think I'd like to get into Raja yoga. I had a friend (Richard) about 45 years doing Raja. We didn't have You Tube at the time. Anyway, that's all for now.

I enjoyed Smackdown

last night. As for the CFL Lion's/Elks game, it was quite the roller coaster ride. BC got off to a good start 7-3 but we pulled ahead and took the lead all night. Our D was the difference maker. Especially when in the last minute when the Lions had the ball 17-19. Lions needed a field goal to win 20-19. Our D had the Lions turnover on downs. Elks hadn't been 5-1 since before Jason Moss was coach. Elks are #1 in the West.

I'm making some learning

headway with MS Word. Still haven't figured out how to program tabs or indents yet. 

I bought a Neewer teleprompter before we moved in here but it wasn't working for me. I know about online prompters that but they were subscription heavy dollar wise. The main appeal these online prompters have is they have an overlay feature. Just write the script, figure out font etc and read from the computer with the app/subject behind the transparrent script. 

Great for making eye contact with the audiance. Part of my job for the last 10 years has been reading from a script. I was kind of up against the clock as well. Not so with these. Yesterday I discovered an open source teleprompter that has no watermark, not time or word count. Aparently. I hope to do a test run on this over the weekend. This post segment has nothing to do with Trump.

Busy day today,I have Smackdown on at 6pm, and the Elks at 7pm. I can pick up where I left off on Smackdown after dinner and the news. Anyway, that's all for now.

Anne and I headed out of here about 3pm

It was a good trip to Clareview. The Evergreen bus was waiting at Clareview East to we took that up to Kal tire and walked the rest of the way to Dollarama. Anne got a few thing. I wanted some blank note paper. Anne ordered the steak Sammy. I ordered the Brigade burger. Allways good. After that we took the #104 to Pet Smart and into Costco. I hadn't been in Costco in a long time. Anne bought me a Costco Sundae for desert. I nished that and waited for her, and we went back to the Per Smart ETS bus stop.

Anne decided she wanted Pizza 73 so we had the grand slam pizza, watched the news and called it a day. 

My Miyoo mini handheld was an utter dissaster. I thought I was getting a handheld gamin console that could out put to the TV, through the USB C port. The port was for chaging only. I tried to get Onion OS installed and get a 3rd party program called Twilight which has that capability. I tried many times, following half a dozen guides, and just couldn't get anywhere with it. So, I did a bit of research and found an Abneric device. The RG35XXSP Flip Handheld Game Console has hdmi TV out and has thousands of games. I placed the $133 order. This will be the last handheld console, I will buy if it doesnt work. It's supposed to arrive on Saturday. Anyway, that's all for now.

I just came off

of watching an awesome new Howard Stern interveiw with keith Richards of the Rolling Stones. Recorded just the other day. Before that another intervieww days old of Mick Jagger.  I don't know who did that interview. 

 Yesterday I had one of those days that I did absolutely nothing. Anne made us a nice brunch and I watched some CFL football. It was one of those do nothing days.

Not much going on today. I have a few phone calls to make before wrestling: Ordering my Compression stockings, setting up a Doctors appointment for Thursday. Anne and I are going out for our monthly outing. Anyway, that's all for now. 

I never made it to

BoB yesterday morning. Anne wanted to visit the Corona Tim Horton's downtown because its the easiest one for us. She takes the 5:30 Strathearn to Churchill connector and the Capital line to Corona stattion. She returned home later then usual. She said the storm the night before and over night yesterday took out the Capital line LRT and ETS decided to shut the line down for the weekend providing contingency buses. Not very user friendly. When Anne returned she gave me the run down. I decided to stay home, dropping Merril a note why I wont be attending. I'll get the next one 2 weeks from today. 

The issue I'm having is lack of sleep. I have 2 sleeping disorders: Restless leg syndrom, and Apnea. Probably others. The only time I can get a good 5-7 hours is if I have a Melatonin pill or Nyquil. A glass of white wine also helps. Lets see what overnight brings.

It's been one of my Masonic ambitions to get my 32° and become a Grand lodge officer. I'll be getting my 32° in a couple of months. Another Masonic milestone will be my 25 year pin. That will be in March. The big one, is becoming a Grand Lodge officer. We have 2 Deputy District Grand Master candidates frim our lodge, putting their names in for DDGM. DDGM picks the officers for his year. I asked one of our DDGM candidates if he would consider me for a Grand Lodge officer appointment. If he's elected. That's in October. The banquet portion of my. I'm wondering if like the DDGM, I place my name on the ballot for a position. More on this later. Anyway, that's all for now.

Last nights storm

took out our power for about 15. Anne went to Corona Station Tim's and bought us breakfast. Me for Bob. When she returned she said that the storm took the Capital (main LRT line) offline and ETS had to deploy contingency buses. I took a video of the rain coming down outside my window. It's on my Facebook page.     

I was going to go to Long & McQuade in Highlands (which is on my way home) because of the LRT Capital line not running, so much for that idea.

I was going to save my Tim's for my 5pm dinner as a bit of a snack and watch the Stamps/Al's game. The above is still the plan. Anyway, that's all for now.
