Our project

ended Monday night at 7pm. I thought we needed a lot more completes than what was initially called for. To sign off on the project has me wondering about the next one. I think there is a lack of communication between research and Super. But the shift was primarily called at 7pm because of the 2 Police officer's Regimental funeral. Oh well. 

The Oilers won an important game in Vegas thrashing the VGK 7-4. Vegas as of this writing is 1st in the Western Conference. With 7 games remaining, anything can happen.

I'm not sure when the next project is. It was mentioned that we need 1000 completes, but more like 400 is the norm. We've done projects during an election before. Except on election night, we don't call. 

Anne and I are ok. next month she gets her min oas. Saturday I'm heading over to the Registry to get my Provincial Government i.d changed over to match our current address. When we have that according to our 2022 noa, we each qualify for the tier 1 senior's free annual low-income bus pass. Anyway, that's all for now.

Last week has

been rough. Just on the domestic front. I won't go into details. Guys, never marry a woman who has high blood pressure. Your asking for trouble. 

Work wise the project has been going well. I'm pulling in record completes. I like my job but I'm not dependent on it. If I get fired Monday, no problem. I like my job though.

Yesterday the Vegas Golden Knights (VGK) came into Edmonton. Ok, the Visitors scored 1st. Then we did. VGK always held the lead but only for a short time. The game went into OT. VGK scored only because our D was sloppy. But we got 1 point out of the deal.

The project is going well

as can be expected. 

Earlier Anne went to Northgate Dollarama and slipped on some ice she wasn't expecting. She fell on her arm causing. The Dollarama didn't have what she needed which is why the Northgate mall trip. She bought me a breakfast sausage sandwich for lunch today and tried the new chicken Big Mac. She hated it. I suspect it won't be around for long.

Today I have another 5-hour shift. Also, the Oilers hosting Arizona Coyotes for an 8:30 start, which means to say I get to watch the last half of the first period. Anyway, that's all for now. 

While I'm back at the job

thing tomorrow, I hope the project is short-lived. One complete pay cheque. I'll do more if they have the work of course. My wife and I as of next month will both be on a pension. We're low on the food chain pension-wise. My posting here while I'm working could be just once a week. Anyway, that's all for now.

Its been an easy week

in this household. Wednesday Anne and I went to the Olive Garden for her 65th Birthday. We really enjoyed ourselves. After that, while we were at Southgate Anne encouraged me to get the Elks flex hat and the Oilers one. Since she isn't getting a tax return this year, I'm giving her half of mine. 

Wednesday I pulled the trigger and for $21 I bought a VGA-D to HDMI adapter. The idea is to replace the VGA DVI adapter with the HDMI one to remove more cables off the desk and eventually to move my tower off the desk to another location. Less clutter. Plus I believe the Graphics card is causing some vibrations which compromises my Sony camera. I got the adapter this afternoon and it works great. 

Also earlier this week I got news of a project happening. With the crew, we start Monday. I'm happy about that. So I'm going to have a nice weekend, and the Oilers play a matinee 2pm game in Seattle tomorrow. Happy Saint Patrick's everyone.

Finally we have our

taxes are done and in the process of being filed. That's one less headache out of the way. Just waiting for the tax return and notice of assessment. Hopefully by end of this month. Without our taxes filed we don't get our pensions.

At the moment management is going crazy testing the fire alarm. They don't even need to come into the suite anymore. They have their machine and test it from outside the door. I hear this beep, then it's onto the next suite. I hear this beep about every 2-3 minutes. 

Apparently, somebody from Norwood has been trying to contact me, twice for Royal Arch. I found their Facebook page and left a message. Hopefully, they can contact me, I'll have enough for my petition and when they do contact me and we have an in-person meeting, I'll hand over everything to them including the appropriate fee. I'll do that as soon as I get my tax return. Anyway, that's all for now.

Happy international

Women's day everyone. My wife is my International woman. 

It will be 23 years for us in December.

I was in Doug Wood's stream from 1-2 and Jade Starr's stream from 2-3:30pm. I was busy this afternoon, lol.

Not much going on. Anne rubbed some of this cough and cold liquid liniment this morning on my chest. It's pretty good. Only 3 episodes of coughing all day.

Hopefully, I can get my last remaining T4 in the next 10 days. CRA is sending it out to me, then I can file. Anyway, that's all for now.

I got my T4's

in the mail but I really need my Alberta Senior benefit. That's the missing link. I have a 1-800 to call tomorrow.

Tonight my lodge is having a board of general purposes meeting over Zoom. Just a feedback session. I have the Zoom credentials so I'm anticipating a short meeting.

I doubt there will be any work happening at all this month. That's the way it goes sometimes with market research. This week, however, I'm going to try and get that finale T4 so we can file. I've got 3 Oilers games to watch this week, starting tomorrow, Thursday & Saturday. It's a 4 game road trip. Anyway, that's all for now.   

I had such a good time at Lodge the

other night. We conferred 4 FC brethren in February and 2 Entered apprentices Thursday. We had 35 guys out. What a great night. I love my lodge.

Last night the Oilers were flying at Rogers Place Arena. Oilers won 6-3. Enjoy it while we can because the rubber match is back in Winnipeg this afternoon at 5pm. Worst of it is tonight Jack "I let in the first goal" Campbell. What could go wrong?

I received my T4s yesterday but I still need my Alberta Scenior Bennift T4 to file. Anne has all of hers. I just need that one. Anyway, that's all for now.

I was able to get

my CPP and OAS from my CRA account via Service Canada. I couldn't find my Alberta Senior Benefit T4. I also have my work T4, so we're just waiting for my ASB T4, then we can file. 

Around November last year, Walmart was trying to sell me generic Dovobet ointment for $200! "For the generic brand? I'm on co-pay." The after she checked she said "In that case, your cost would be $77 for a 120-gram size. I think the clerk was looking at the brand name and not the generic kind. TodayI called Rexall to compare prices and she said for a 60-gram size, I'd be paying $24. And this is the Ointment. I have some cream and this does nothing for me. So I'm going to call Walmart again, maybe tomorrow, and see if the price for the generic brand came down to $24 for 60 grams. Most likely it's competitive anyway. I'll even call Shoppers to see if they have it and compare pricing all the way around.

This week I have Hockey tonight, Lodge tomorrow night, and hockey Friday, and Saturday. Winnipeg is in town for a 5pm game. Four Oilers games. One was Monday night. Anyway, that's all for now.
