I should have left out of here

on my own about noon to memory Express. I'd be getting my Ram about now, out to Harvey's and on the #54 bus by the time Anne gets up. I'll give her about 3pm, if not I'm out the door on my own. This is bs. She's just stalling. 

I got my sdd and enclosure yesterday. Management is so cheap here, they got rid of all the intercom pannels to reach individual suites from the outside to save electricity on the power bill. That decision impacts deliveries because there are just 2 intercom pannels. 1 per building. UPS was at entrance C. We're in A. C has the intercom pannel for something like 200 suites. To let the driver in at C the driver would have to walk through 2 building doors 2 flights of stairs, 3 hallway doors. Time is money for these people. The UPS driver asked if he could meet me at my entrance because I'm a senior and I don't walk to well these days. Thanks. The Amazon driver for the enclosure product was already at the door to A and just called our land line. In management "infinite wisdom" the rational was to not only save on the electric bill but because "everyone has cell phones", And no doubt we're going to be paying for the rental office electric bill, possibly subsidise their internet as well. That's what we're paying a 25% increase in our lease for next year, seriously? Also where is the privacy when on our call display it shows the name of the management company?

Ok that was a long rant from me today. Not much going on for me otherwise. Before bed this morning I was able to (I think) clone my current C drive (system drive) I tried to clone in another partition on the new drive my E drive so everything will be in C. My Cloning software said there was an estimated time of 7 hours? Wow. And that was after I had to temporary disable my firewall and auto protect. Since I don't (yet) have the necessary screw driver to remove the old m.2 drive for the new one, there's not way to tell if the old C was cloned over. Looks like I'llbe heading out tomorrow to get the Ram. I called Memory Express to let them know I'll be in tomorrow. Anyway, that's all for now.   

A quiet laid back day

today. Nothing going on. 

Last night the Oilers won one in OT from a forward pass from Kane to Hyman. That game ties the series at 2. I'm following the Vegas/Jets and the Leafs/Tampa games tonight, rooting for Canadian teams.

The end of the month is looming. We're hoping for our tier 1 annual seniors bus pass to arrive in the mail any day now. Next, year I'm going to try and get our T4s online in February so we can get our bus pass closer to April as ETS goes from April to the end of March.

Because this is the first year both of us get "full pensions" we want to see how the Feds will line us up $ wise. Also, our lease is up for next year. I'm sure nothing good is going to come from either.

We're just taking it one day at a time. Anyway, that's all for now.  

We're not expecting our anual senior bus passes

to arrive by at least the end of the month. Which is ok. These bus passes are free for the year due to our income level. 

Yesterday we received our Climate Action Plan rebate. It's sent out 4 times/year. Add that and the GST, which pays for our cable bill for the year. As long as we keep our income at the same level. That could be good/or bad. 

When I bought my desktop computer in 2018, the Ram I'm currently using is running at the speed of 3000mkh. DDR 4 Ram dual channel. It's a 16 Ram kit. So I'm looking to upgrade the Ram next but the Ram brand I currently have doesn't make 3000 Ram. Fortunately for me, Ram is relatively cheap. 

The Oilers are playing in LA tonight. Right now the series is tied. No doubt this round will go 7 games so I'm expecting the Oilers to lose tonight. Anyway, that's all for now.

The poduct I bought off of

Amazon was shipped out of B&H. They mostly do cameras. The 4Tb NVME SSD m.2 drive I bought was ~ the same price as a 2Tb SSD locally.  I should get it by the end of the week. I have an NVME SSD enclosure kit here somewhere to transfer my current NVME drive over to the new one. Next is to transfer the 2Tb Seagate SSD to the new SSD and in the Bios align everything as "C" drive. Then install and reboot. Even with everything in the new drive, I'd still have about 1.5 TB remaining in the new drive. I'll reformat the current 2Tb as a new storage disk. I've cloned overdrives before and it's pretty easy. The Drive is by Corsair and should arrive by the weekend. 

Last night the Oilers took the lead but LA scored a few seconds into the 3rd period. The Oilers managed a goal to make it 3-1 but the Oilers had got 7 penalties and lost in OT. Hopefully, the Oilers will do better. Anyway, that's all for now.

So the NHL playoff bracket is set

as it's LA Kings/Oilers Monday for round one game one best of 7. If it goes 7 games, the last game will be election night, Oilers at LA.

After my breakfast with Merril this morning (usually there are about 4 of us there) I could have gone to Commercial but I was wiped out so I went back to bed and I woke up just before noon. Just youtube social media all day, since there is no hockey.

Not much going on for tomorrow. Anne's pricing up my meds at Walmart. I'm just relaxing and working on my next track for next weekend. ANyway, that's all for now.

Anne and I went out for our monthly

"date" Wednesday afternoon. We try to go out once a month. Yesterday we went to Londonderry Mall specifically to Albert's Family resturanunt. Anne just waking up. She didn't like her Denver sandwich. Oilers beat Denver Thursday night. I had the hot hamburger on toast. Both were lame. I should have got the other one they listed. Next up food court. Anne bought me a strawberry Sunday. Very nice. We had a few hicups and snarkiness to each other but it was a good outing. Albert's was a disappointment. Anne got me a few crisp meat burritos for dinner and lunch today.

It was a nice bus ride to Clareview Station. I didn't want to walk home so I enjoyed the air and let Anne walk home while I waited for the #104 bus to take me to the stop from across the street of Capital Place. I walked the rest of the way.

Even though Anne didn't like her Denver sandwich maybe she found some solice knowing when I told her the Oilers beat Denver Tuesday 2-1 in OT. If Oilers had the line up they had Tuesday in the other previous 2 games, with the Ave's would not have won on those two other occasions. The other 2 games we're also in OT. The Ave's are last years Defending Stanley Cup champions.

Tonight its the last regular season game of the 2022-23 season as the Sharks are in town. Can Oilers tie their best ever 9 straight wins and that was in the 2000-21 season.

I'm not sure that BoB is in the cards Saturday as I'm going to try and go out to Commercial lodge #81 Its an afternoon meeting. I haven't been there since before the Pandemic. Anyway, that's all for now.  

I'm having a nice weekend

as Anne is sleeping. Skippy and Buster are on their own chairs enjoying the outside air. I'm just chilling and enjoying my coffee. I have half of Saturday night's pizza in the fridge and a dipping sauce for my lunch today.

Speaking of which we had a massive wind advisory warning earlier this morning. The wind was howling. Anne was concerned we were going to have a Tornado. Right now, the wind is 13 from the West heading East. Looks like a nice day out there. There is a 90% chance we're going to get some snow tomorrow. 😲 

Not much going on today. Tomorrow is the Oilers/Denver game, we could be going out Wednesday if conditions improve and we avoid any snow. Thursday is the last Oilers home game of the year as we're hosting San Jose. Saturday is my breakfast outing and if I feel up to it, I might end up going to Commercial Lodge downtown for the afternoon. We'll see. Anyway, that's all for now.

The Oilers are the hotest team in the leauge right now

as they won their 6th straight Wednesday. Ryan Nugent Hopkins (RNH) got his 100th point for the season. The last time the Oilers had 3 100-point players in a season was in 1986-87 when Wayne Gretzky, Jari Kurri, and Mark Messier all had 100 points or more before the playoffs. The worst part about this is even though the Oilers clinched a playoff spot, they might get to the finale, but that's about it. 

I never made it to lodge last night as I called in due to a rash I developed due to psoriasis and razor burn. I looked terrible. If I had more time to take care of it and more ointment, then maybe. However, I hope to have this cleared up with what I have on hand. Hopefully, I'll have this cleared up so I can go to Commercial next Saturday after BoB.

It was on this day (it wasn't Good Friday) in 2018 I made contact with an old friend before my current marriage. The friendship ended 9 months later in 2918. Most of the mistakes made were on my end but Mary & I hadn't been honest with each other. Yet she was out to compromise my marriage through a change of events I won't mention here. But she gaslit me and walked out on me. Somedays are better than others. I'm still dealing with the trauma. Mary had gotten married since then. I'm happy for her. I miss her every day. Some days are better than others. I have my lovely wife. A great life. Anyway, have a happy Easter everyone. That's all for now.

Not much going on today

I'm just playing around with an app by Four Pockets "Helium." I'm stuck having more than one sound source on the same app. I think I need another track in Helium. 

Oilers are at it again tonight, this time in Anaheim. Including tonight we got 4 games left. LA & Vegas each have 4 games remaining as all 3 times are trying to get to the #1 spot or trying to hold onto that #1 spot. Vegas & LA are not going to just go through the motions. Playoff season begins April 17th. 

As for me, this afternoon, I'm over there at Jade Starr's stream "How to App." That's about an hour or so at 4pm. Anyway, that's all for now.

 

Not a whole lot is going on

 right now. Apparently, we're off work until after the election. Which is strange because we always had work during the election. We shut things down during the election. We're off for 2 months now? I've got contacts in other survey houses here in the city. I should ask around if they are facing similar situations.

At least if anything I can watch the NHL playoffs. They get underway the week of the 17th. Speaking of which, there are 3 games this week. Back to back tomorrow and Wednesday, and SJ Saturday.

I checked to see if we qualify for the city's Leisure Access Pass as it's based on a household. However, as a household, we made "too much money" to be able to qualify. Yeah right. We're lucky that we qualify to get the low-income transit pass. Strange that we can qualify for that but not the LAP. Both city facilities. Anyway, that's all for now. 

I was up at about 6am this morning

doing my stuff gradually gettin ready to head out of here for BoB. After that about 10am, I saw the 10:40 bus back to my place. It wasn't that bad out there. I was in my jean jacket. Destination: "In out Registry." It cost me $28 to have my i.d. changed but I wont get the card in the mail for about another 2 weeks yet. 

After that I went to Staples as I need a few more of those Energel pens I like from Pental, I also want to know if they had any Samsung 2Tb nvme hard drives.. Best they had was the 1Tb. Pass. Then over to catch my bus to U-haul up the street because across from there was my other destination:
