I had a better day today but nobody could get me any credit cards. I think I had about 6 sales for about over $500. I got my Proline ticket for the week at the Redi mart and my 6/49 and I was all set for my commute.
First thing I did was check my email, then I composed a tweet and that was about it. In the office around break I think I did another tweet and checked my email and opened up a few web pages.
I had a good afternoon sales wise but no cards but that’s ok, I was in good spirits. I thought I had a good afternoon with about $450 or so.
After lunch part to and the Riders/Hamilton game. The Riders won 43-16 and my double or nothing Bombers/Lions in the double header ended up Bombers 10-Lions 23. I owe Warren $4 and I lost $4 on Proline for a total of $8 but I could have won $53 if Hamilton played well at home and the other to games come in tomorrow and Monday. But one of the guys owes me $7 (if he comes in) and if I get it from him I’m ok, not that I’m hurting.
I got my check and headed to the train waving to Anne on the corner by BP’s. I got my train to my bank and did that and took what I need for Anne. I’ve got $30 COH and $12 towards my breakfast for tomorrow for a 6 hour shift.
When I got home I wanted to check into Paypal to see if that $20 has been uploaded yet but it’s only been 6 days. I think it’ll be there by Wednesday.
All in all I had a decent day, and I can’t complain. Anne is on her way home and I’m going to have a bit of supper watch the news and pass out and that’s my Friday. Not good but not bad. Anyway, that's about all for now.

Yesterday on
the job was slow. If it wasn't for doing taps after dinner break I wouldn't have much of a total.
I called Anne at break and she said I got something from Telus regarding my Flex plan rates. When I got home and read it I was surprised to learn that the Flex plan was a promotion. I'm back to regular rates and I opened up a couple of YouTube videos today and just today alone I racked up $10! I got to slow down. I called Telus and they said I can turn my 3G on and off. it's off now relying at home on my wi-fi only. Today I'm going to use my 3G (internet) to open my email once and a post a Tweet and a couple of Tweets through out the day and check my email on the way home and see what that will do to my data rates. Wi-fi is my best friend.
Paypal has yet to receive my $20 upload as I uploaded the $20 this time last week, so most likely by Wednesday I'll be able to get the Loopmaster program.
Today it's payday and after work it's off to my bank and home for a bite to eat and whats left of Smackdown.
Research in Motion apparently has a serious problem. They laid off 5,000 employees and they have enough cash for another year. RIM had to delay it's new smartphones until that time. If their new smartphones wont save them then RIM is for the most part doomed. Anyway, that's all I have for now.

I got up a little bit
early to do a few backing vocal takes. I did about 8 of them and I'll review them a bit more on my morning commute later.
Not a lot going on for today. I'm not at all that concerned about HO leaning on me and my colleagues. HO must think that we're all in a recession or something, which here in Northern Alberta (for now) we're not. This is Edmonton, not 10% unemployment rate in some US city. Also, I think we have about 30% of our office empty during the day and about 60% empty at night. I'm hearing what management said (improver your diallers or add more diallers.) If I get a pink slip in my pay check, fine I'll deal with it when it happens. If I can get passed the end of July (and I'm taking it day by day) I'm taking 2 weeks off to get my CPP in order and I'll be looking to see what my options are. I'd like to check out a few operations maybe even go in for a few interviews and talk to some people, get some names and numbers etc. You know, I like my job and I like the management I'm working with, I'm there every day and if they want to kick out a solid employee like me because I'm not up to the national average sales wise, well they may as well fire everybody in the office and shut the whole company down. I think HO knows all of this and I met most of my higher ups and they're good people.
Anyhow, that's enough of that. Today it's in for my usual 8 hours. It was this week, 32 years ago I fled the Meyer's place. By 6pm on that Wednesday afternoon it was all over. I was in my new place breathing a sigh of relief. I didn't stay very long because the land lord that let me hadn't realized that the previous tenant before me had left temporarily and said they'd be back. I had a week to find something before said tenant returned. I did the same thing when I left uptown New Westminster for Calgary in late November 1976 living in the Anderson house. I returned back to New West in May back to my old room which was awaiting for me. I think I was paying $100/month at the time, which in 1976 dollars would have been like about $200 in purchasing power today.
Other then the job thing, I slept ok over night, except around 6am I find it hard to fall back to sleep. I got another 8 hour shift ahead of me my 3rd one for the week then tomorrow and 6 hours Saturday (I hope) Saturday I'm going out with the guys and splitting a jug of beer with Warren. A jug is $13 and I'll give him $7. There's about 3 pints of beer in it, which I only drink 1, watch some of the Argo/Edmonton game and at half time head for home to watch the 2nd half. Anyway, that's enough silliness for now, it's a beautiful summer say out there and I'm going to enjoy my commute. This time I'm bringing my headphones. Anyway, that's about all I have for now.

Mid week madness
Yes its mid week madness. The dreaded of all Wednesdays. I don't do too badly work wise for a Wednesday. Yesterday wasn't bad but I would have liked to have had something over $100 and I had 3 tap sales to my 2 regular sales, nothing over $100 and even those sales were made in the evening.
This morning in about an hour, at Clareview station I'll be picking up a 6/49 quick pick for tonight's $26M draw. Then on the train waiting to pull out of Clareview checking out my mail on my iPad and ready for the day.
This morning the Edmonton Oiler's announced Ralph Krueger as their 11th head coach. This guy is the real deal. Ok so out of the 7 games in the NHL as subbing for Renney, he only won 1 game but I think the Oiler's will do well with Krueger.
Not much going on around here. It's a straight up working mid week day.
This morning I had a chance to more through Ottawa's bill C-38. It's an Omnibus bill of some 70 pieces of legislation that Harper wants to push through before Parlement
breaks for the summer. Bill C-38 is something that the opposition likes because they can debate over it's many parts to drag it out to try and force a non confidence vote. C-38 has some things I like and some things I don't. For example, tightening up EI. Its saying that an unemployed banker making say $75K/year can take a job at Tim Horton's for $12 must take the job or be cut off of EI. That's a bit of an extreme case because no unemployed banker making that kind of money will even take EI. But that's an example. Another is the change to the pension act to change eligibility to collect Old Age Security or OAS, from 65-67. That I don't mind and it wont take into affect until 2023 Amendments to the Income Tax Act that will further limit the resources that charities can put towards political activity and give the minister of national revenue greater power to take action against organizations that exceed these limits. I kind of like this one. Also, Amendments to the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act to wipe out a backlog of 280,000 applications under the Federal Skilled Worker Program. Gives more jobs for Canadians. I also like this one:The elimination of several government-funded groups and agencies including the National Council of Welfare, Rights and Democracy, and the National Roundtable on the Environment and the Economy. This one I don't like: Complex changes to fisheries protection of fish habitats that will result in less-stringent regulations for the sake of promoting commercial and development interests. I like this one as well: Repealing and replacing the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act in order to expedite the environmental review process and limit public input. But bill C-38 can't be all things to all people. There are some good things I like and some not so good things. more on this latter. Anyway, that's about all for now.

This one has it all:
Another week of 37.5 hours. I was thinking the other day what would 25.5 hours be like but that’d be working every day. It wouldn’t give Anne a lot to work with.
At the end of the month we need all of my pay stubs to submit them to CRHC for subsidy. More then likely we’ll have to wait another 2 years before they get back to us again and ask if we want to be on the same waiting list for their programs.
We’re having another electronic music concert this summer featuring Skrillex AKA Sonny John Moore. Skrillex does Dubstep, house and primarily DJ type stuff. He’s apparently on this bill but Saint Alberta (a community just outside of Edmonton) had to turn organizers down because of lack of security and time. Hopefully they’ll find a venue here in Edmonton. These kind of shows get a bad rap mainly because it attracts a lot of drug and alcohol use. But most of the people that attend these things are there for the atmosphere and the music. I like Skrillex and his music and he’s won several Grammy awards for his work. I’m actually inspired by dubstep and techno beats but think I think it can get a lot of mileage out of rock n’ roll.
This week is going to be chalk full of things. First of all in the morning before I head into the office, I’m going to my bank to take care of some business and drop some funds into my account. I’m going to see about getting my password fixed so I can access my online banking. Better to do this in person, while I’m there. Also, Wednesday, the Oiler’s as stated on the news, will be announcing their head coach. It’s probably a contract signing with Ralph Krueger. If it was with Sutter it’s be all over the gossip wire by now. Friday my funds from last weeks Paypall will be ready for me to download that dubstep stuff from Loopmasters. Plus it’s a long weekend coming up but most likely I’ll have to work the Saturday (which I will anyway) plus I have to work the Monday (this day before and day after thing) which will get me 37.5 hours in. Ann suggested next week take Saturday, Sunday, Monday off. So I still get a long weekend and all my hours. Sweet. Also, Saturday night is the first Eskimo Home game as the Esks are hosting the Argos. Also, this means CFL Proline begins this as all 8 teams will be playing. I’m going to get my Proline ticket for all for games Friday at Rexall a block West of Audrey’s. Lets see, Friday its: Saskatchewan/Hamilton, Winnipeg/BC. Saturday its: Argo’s/Edmonton, Sunday its Montreal/Calgary. If I can get all 4 games on the same ticket, I might drop a $10. Riders/Ham, Ham to win, Bombers/Lions BC win. Saturday: Argo’s/Esks (tie), Sunday Montreal/Stamps (tie) I’m picking ties because Montreal has Burris and Argo’s have Ray. Both star QB’s facing off with each other in their ex clubs home city. If I have to work Monday, it’s going to be a short weekend.
Also, my Telus mobility account reads empty, which might mean that Telus extracted the funds for my flex plan on my preauthorized account set up.
Raw was fun last night. It was good to see Psycho Syd come back. For some reason I thought he was Kane but it was a fun show.
Finally, tonight on Coast the topic is about Antigravity & Free Energy. Should be a good show. Thursday’s topic will be Gobekli & Baltic Sea Mysteries. Some pretty good shows coming up Anyway, that’s all I have for now.

I was in bed by about
3:30am listening to a bit of Coast. The topic was undercover operations. I was mildly interested but passed out.
As a filler on our local news and somewhat related to the above was a story how real estate agent companies will use drones mounted with a video camera to fly around a piece of property to showcase certain features of the property with music and voice over. From the drone models I’ve seen on YouTube most of these drones sound like weed whackers, very noisy. A drone was used to fly over rioters in Poland last year to get a good look at the crowd but if it’s a windy day I wonder how useful they are?
After work yesterday I walked down to Audrey’s. It was very nice about +25* My first day without a jacket. I wasn’t really hungry but I went in and bought my Star Wars book: Fate of the Jedi “Vortex.” I’m expecting “Going pro with Cubase 6” any week now. I like Cubase but it’s suffering from a lot of clipping and it’s hard to get my audio interface in the device set up to stabalize.
Hard to believe this July will mark the 25th anniversary of Edmonton’s “Black Friday” 1987 tornado that killed 27 people. I was at Cobogo warehouse on that day now known as “Cobogo lofts.” I was 34 years old at the time.
I just headed for home and at Clareview station while waiting for the bus I thought about checking my email on my iPad but my connection was lost. I got home and checked into it and was still off line, then it came back on line.
I headed for bed taking the phone in with me and set my alarm for 8pm. I had an hour and a half nap and Anne called about 8:30pm. I had the rest of the night off and worked doing some recording on “Chair” and I got some good takes. I wanted to use Vari audio in Cubase but I’m having some problems with it.
Later this afternoon Anne and I are heading over to Earl’s again. We haven’t been there since her birthday. That was March 16th but we went on the Sunday on the 18th. I enjoyed the burger was nice. That’s probably what I’ll have again. Anne likes to head to the Pet Smart store first before head over to Earl’s.
So the 2012 NHL draft ended up with no real surprises for the Oiler’s. We got our #1 pick and (again) yawn. It would have been better if this guy had some better credentials but oh well. We need to sign him to at least a 3 year deal and see what he can do. Or sign him for 3 years and trade him for someone we can use now or over the next several years. The real action will happen at the NHL free agent draft next July first. Anyway, that’s about all I have for now.

I didn’t sleep
well over night. Not even the warm glass of milk helped. I was up until about 4:30 this morning working on a music track in FL Studio 10. I want to get the update 10.5 but I can’t view my licenses for some reason.
It‘s been a rough week so far. I got six Tuesday morning, I lost 4 hours of work, I bought a credit card I can‘t use where I want to use it, my sales volume has been low all week, I busted a tooth last night (diabetes) The only good news was winning that $10 on my 6/49 draw and Anne buying me that new windbreaker and this morning I couldn’t sleep. I got 2 more days off and Saturday, I‘m going to buy my Tim‘s breakfast and bring $25 with me to head over to the casino have a beer and relax and play the penny slots.
It was on this week 32 years ago I moved out of the Meyer house. They were getting freaked out over my (Wicca) “occult activities.” Of course I can understand my land lady‘s concern, with her and her husband being Pentecostal supporters and all. I wasn‘t into Thelema when I first moved into that house just behind where Peoples Church is now. Matter of fact if I hadn’t stumbled into Thelema chasing Ellen around I would have probably had thought I was a bit off my rocker as well. I moved in there almost a month after mom and dad moved back to Coquitlam my home town. My stay there was October 1979-June 25th 1980. I never had a woman in my room but it wasn’t much bigger then my office here. It was my land lady‘s nosing around into my business that eventually led to my decision to leave. It was an ugly scene when I left and I didn’t have to much with me to pack either. I even have the hand written letter or a copy of it I made just before I moved out of that residence.
Today I got 7.5 hours ahead of me and it‘s the NHL entry draft. I don‘t really care because the Oiler‘s can have all the star power they want to but if Nikolai Khabibulin still ends up being our starting goal tender we‘re going to win about 50% of our games with Dubnyk and less with NK The result is going to be similar to last season near last place. We could have all the first round draft picks in the world but if we don’t have that goal tender, then all we’re going to be is just a team that doesn’t make the playoffs. And of course Hall gets injured every Spring and gets taken out about 2 weeks before the regular season.
And the Eskimo’s are no better. Last night they lost hosting BC 24-16. That’s 2 pre season losses now. We lost all of our 3 pre-season games, Toronto, Calgary and last night BC. It’s tough being a Sports fan in the “City of champions.”
So, today being payday, I’ll have a full 37.5 hours on my check and at 8:30 I’ll be heading towards my bank RBC bank cash my check and head for home to work on my track and watch some Smackdown have a bite to eat and then done for the day. Anyway, that’s all I have for now.

Almost time to
get ready and leave out of here.
So here’s what I can do, the Saturday I win at the casino playing the penny slots, is the week I work 37.5 hours. The week I don’t win I work 41.5. But this Saturday after work I’m going to go for sure with Darryl to show me around the slots and show me how to play and I’ll buy me and him a beer, play until 7pm and head home after that. Anne can call and I’ll have a nap until she comes home and stay up until 2-4am or what ever. Sounds like a plan.
This morning I uploaded some more funds to Paypall ($24) in which case by next Friday it’ll be ready for me to use. I might put in another $20 as well this evening.
So far no response to my Loopmaster's inquiry, even if the response got through. I don’t know if it did but in the next day or two, I’ll make another inquiry.
As for today, I don’t know what it’ll bring but I’m going into work and put forward the best day I can. That’s what its all about right? Anyway, that’s all I have for now.

The longest day
of the year. Love it.
I was able to get to the Baker Centre and I bought the Visa gift card but a $20 Visa gift card ended up costing me $28.95. I also bought a 6/49 for tonight’s draw and a Max for Friday. We were all set for the NHL awards (what a crock) a Canadian team going up against a US team in these awards haven’t got a chance. Eberle probably didn’t get the Lady Bing because we got the first round draft pick.
I got nothing the first half because it was only a short 4 hour shift but the 2nd half I got a $1,200 sale but not on the card yet. We got to call back on the card and if I get it I get what James (not White) calls a Ka-pow bonus (worth $35 for me) if I get the sale on card.
I was glad to get home and inside to try ad order that product from Loopmasters but the gift card wasn’t accepted. It was only for $20 and they’re not accepted every where. The problem is/was there was no name on the card holder. I can still use it elsewhere but not there, which is too bad. I’m still going to buy there products but I’ll have to use Paypal.
Anne likes to watch Entertainment tonight and I watch it occasionally but I'm not into it the way she is. So while we were wrapping up our supper a thought occurred to me in that if about maybe 80% of these celebrates ever encounter me or if I should see them on the street or in a restaurant I wouldn't recognize 80% of them. Sure I'd recognize Sharon from Ozzie Osborne or Rachel Rae, Justin Bieber, Howie, Brad Pit sort of thing or George Clooney, but actors that played on "Home alone," "Spider-man" etc, I wouldn't have a clue to see them on the street. I'm just not that clued into the celebrity scene. Anne likes these Kardashians but I wouldn't recognize them at all on the street, same with people from the soaps etc. I've got zero interest in these people. Sorry.
Well even though I lucked out on "Loopmasters" on the Visa gift card I won $10 bucks on my 6/49. I seldom win beyond 3 numbers. I think this is about the 3rd time I've won this year. Anyway, that's about all have for today.

Summer, day 1. June
is one of my favorite months of the year. The mix of rain Sun and cloud and the colors are amazing. The Sun setting about 10pm is a bonus as well.
I’ve been following the sequel to Star Trek 2 the next movie by JJ Abrams but it’s probably way to early for a Summer release date. If anything I’d say May 2013 but I have no conformation about this, it’s just a guess on my part.
I was visiting various places around Google earth earlier around the Swedish Island of Gotland. It’s a big place with only a few small communities and it kind of reminds me of Alberta without the hills and mountains. It’s more of a farming area. It’s largest community is Visby a community of some 22,000. If I ever get the money I’d love to visit there maybe during the fall. A flight would leave out of here from Edmonton International>Seattle>Frankfort>Stockholm on a return trip first class about $1,500. It’d be about 12-14 hours not including stopovers. I’d love to go by myself spend a week there explore and return (with a lot of photos of course.) But if I didn’t have Anne with me, I’d save up the money and go for 10 days. That’s if I ever win the lottery.
Speaking of which Friday’s Max draw is for $50M, tomorrow’s draw is for $17M. I’m getting 1 for each today.
I had a decent day yesterday pulling in a $500 sale (but not on card) I had a couple of $50’s and a $110 sale on card. That’s almost $800! I love days like those. We had a different campaign as well which helped a lot.
About 4:30 this morning I was feeling my stomach tighten as I was breaking out into a sweat. I ran to the toilet moaning and groaning. My head was spinning. Vomit erupted from my mouth, it was a disaster. I must have sat there on the toilet in the dark. Anne was just going to bed about this time helping me out. I was gasping for air when I break out into another sweat. She helped clean me up as I was in a mess. I had a shower and went back to bed. Twenty minutes or so latter, here we go again with more of the above. I hurled about 4 times into a bucket this time Anne had given me. At this time she called into the office for me saying I won’t be in for the morning shift. I felt a little better and went back to bed. We both agreed it was a case of food poisoning. Something I ate yesterday played havoc with my system.
This evening I’m heading out of here shortly before 4pm so I can head on over to the Backer Centre and get a 6/49 and a Max and a $20 Visa card. Loopmasters has a product I want called “Essential dubstep.” I’ve never ordered from this company before and their ordering set up doesn’t seem to work properly for some reason. I hope to place an order for tonight when I get home
I feel a lot better now. I got up about 10am had a owl of cereal and that was kept down and my insulin and fed the cats and went back to bed. So I’m in for 4 hours this evening and I’m going to ask the boss if I can come in for Thursday morning for 3.5 and the rest of the day for a total of 11 hours to make up for missing today. We’ll see how that goes. Anyway, that’s all I have for today.

Not a lot going on for
this week. I’m mostly going to drop Twitter posts 2-3 times/day and a couple of short blog posts.
It seems that Feds are about to make changes to the Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP), which goes into effect June 30, as part of the 2012 budget cuts. The program gives basic health-care coverage to protected persons, refugee claimants and others who do not qualify for provincial or territorial coverage. Refugees get better medical services then a lot of Canadians, not to mention queue jumping etc. One of the comments I’ve been reading on various forums put it this way: I love it when a doctor paid by Canadians defends the "rights" of non-Canadians. It makes me think that Mark Tyndall should consider what rights Canadians have beyond paying his salary. The implications of this are that there will be less immigration because a lot of new Canadians come here for the free health care and use Canada as a back door to the US. Doctors are crying foul probably because it’s going to compromise their work load (that‘s what I believe.) “Good lord, you mean Doctors will have to treat natural born Canadians first?” I‘m being sarcastic of course. Good move Jason Kenny! You can read the article here.

The
other thing I'm considreing for today is bringing my other windbreaker
with the broken zipper into the taylors in our office building on the
main floor. I only have 2 functional wind breakers I can use.
Last
night on Coast the topic was “UFOs & the Bennewitz Case.” I was
able to listen to the first hour before I passed out but the Bennewitz
case was/is a fascinating Government UFO disinformation case, which
landed Bennewitz in a mental hospital for awhile because he believed he
was intercepting alien (ET) signals. More then likely the Feds put him
in there to damage his credibility. It was a good show.
So today on the job I wonder how much of an earful I’m going to get over the IFHP changes by all the immigrants we call in Ontario? All I’m going to say about it is. “I’m only here to do fundraising Mrs. Alalalalalakakakalalala-adadadfatatagaf” first name Audrey. I’ll probably get a lot of people though siding with the Doctors about this as well.
Ok switching gears here, I was listening to the i09’ show earlier about What’s more likely: a robot uprising, or humans becoming cyborgs? My guess would be more humans becoming cyborgs. I like how their guest Daniel H. Wilson talks about the difference between robots and cyborgs and about brain gate.

It wasn't like the last couple
of days were busy or anything, I just didn't have a lot to say.
I had a decent week, I did some banking and yesterday was able to get a hold of Telus mobility about my preauthorized Flex plan account, which they wont extract payment until about mid July and it will only be about $15 so as long as they go through the billing set up mechanics, my internet service will not be compromised and I'll owe them for 3 months service, then regular automatic debit payments from my bank will occur.
On my plate today I'm out on my am commute and I'm going to have breakfast and then into the office for my 6 hours. After that it's over to Audrey's for my book and then to catch a bus to City Centre Mall for the food court and a bite to eat and the train but I want to get off at Belvedere station to go up onto the overhead pedway which is over the tracks and has a great view of the construction going around Station Pointe and after a couple of photos, home for a nap and then I'm going to work on my music and enjoy 2 days off..

I slept ok over night
but couldn't get anything during that last hour so I got up about an hour ago shaved and had a shower and fixed some coffee and fed the cat.
Tonight, I'm calling Neil to see if I can go with him to the GLC Saturday. Plan B is with Mike. Apparently from my Lodge Newsletter its business dress full regalia and they ballot at 8am Saturday is round 2. So, I'm up early as its about a 2 hour trip. I could be wrong but I'll find more details about it tonight. If Neil is just going down to sign in and ballot and leave, then if he's got an empty car, I'm in. But then Mike never went last year when it was in Grand Prairie. If Neil fails to materialize then plan B is to call Mike Thursday. If none of those fail to materialize then I've got a full 6 hours of work Saturday, ie: I'm not going but we'll see. So I'm calling Neil this evening for a yes or a no and then mike tomorrow night for the same. I'm not under any pressure to be there but 1 of our members is up for being GL SW.
Other then trying to make it to GLC for a short time for Saturday, not much is going on. Today is a regular 8 hour day. The afternoon's go by fast and then its lunch and then the 2nd half and that usually drags out. By about 8pm, I'm watching the clock. Anyway, that's about all for now.

Despite the post below
there are a few more things I want to cover.
About 3 years ago, Anne and I had applied for housing subsidy a few months before we had to put Pledges down. I had to go several times to get the application in because it was sent back to us because of something clerical. Well, 3 years latter after we had all but wrote off our plans for housing subsidy we get a letter from CRHC asking us if we still wanted to be on the waiting list? We have up until June 20th to get the new application in. Sure, we’ll put the application in to wait what another 3 years? We’re competing with new Canadians for housing subsidies even though we’re low income, they get subsidies first and with the influx of new Canadians coming into this country, they get first crack at housing subsidies while the rest of us on low income have to be put on “a waiting list.” It’s going to be a long time before we ever get accepted and this isn’t Edmonton Housing, it‘s a subsidy program from CRHC. Another high profile housing subsidy demographic are single parents with children. But Anne and I are a couple of “dinks.” Dual income no kids. We’ll fill out the form and submit it and then forget about it.
I was right about the upcoming movie “Prometheus.” It’s a prequel to the movie franchise “Aliens,” something that I have zero interest in.
The Elder Scrolls gaming scene is all a buzz over a rumor that Bethesda is launching a MMO game of their game series but so far those are just rumors. I Haven’t heard any conformation from Bethesda.
I watched the last half of “Monday night Raw” and really enjoyed it. On a scale from 1-10, I’d give it an 8. It‘s always nice to have the show end with drama.
So if all goes well, I hope Thursday I can secure a ride from Mike or Neil to the Grand Lodge Communication (GLC). Mike sounds like my best choice especially if he can say pick me up at 7am and we can go in our street cloths to Red Deer. Hopefully grab some breakfast and head to the site and hang around if we have to and sign in and cast our vote and leave. If we can be back by 2pm, I can pop into the office and call Anne from there and put a couple of hours in. Perfect. Anyway, that’s about all I have for now.

LA got the first
goal then a NJ player slammed his opponent into the boards right in the numbers, that gave LA a 5 minute pp and LA scored 3 unanswered goals making it 4-1. Then near the 4 minute mark of the 3rd NJ pulls their goal tender and LA gets an open net on a breakaway. 5-1, then an insurance goal making it 6-1. After all of the hoisting of the cup on ice interviews presenting the Con Smyth, the LA Kings players gathered for the on ice group photo that #99 Wayne Gretzky began in 1988, his last time with the Oiler’s. I’m glad the Kings carried on with that tradition. It’s a tradition that is synonymous with how Conference winning teams don’t touch the Conference cup and the play off beard. Next up is the Trade deadline and the off season. In more relevant NHL hockey news especially news for Oiler fans Craig MacTavish has been hired on as assistant to Hockey operations Steve Tambellini. Congratulations to the LA Kings, 44 years in the making. Now lets get on with the CFL. Training camp is a few days away.
Actually the first Eskimo's training camp game is Friday night. Most likely it wont be televised but if Proline has CFL training camp days I'm getting a ticket for this. I usually play all weekend games for the next 20 weeks, including playoffs. Can't wait. Speaking about the Esks, they had training practice yesterday and Coach Reid was pissed off with the guys for having a lack luster practice! Uh-oh..
I was able to call Mike our SW about GLC in Red Deer and he said he didn’t go last year but depends on his work and all and if he is going to go, then that fits into my plans because he said, he’d be going long enough to vote and then leave, which means no suit just street cloths. I think. I’d rather go with Mike because if he can pick me up at 7am and we drive down to Red Deer get a spot of breakfast along our way and we‘re in and out. I could be home by noon and maybe even get a couple of hours in on the job. I can still get 4 hours in. I can even call Anne at 2:20pm and she‘d never even know the difference. Perfect. So I‘ll be calling Mike by Thursday. If this is Neil’s plan as well, in and out, then that works out great. Mike said he‘s never been to a GLC, that makes two of us.
Ok for once Greenpeace may have a valid issue with oil pipelines. The Red Deer pipeline spill into the Red Deer river Thursday was an accident waiting to happen. Many of these pipelines are 45 years old and Alberta alone has had over 300 pipeline leaks. We need an independent pipeline review and I think these pipelines need to be monitored and in many cases replaced, especially like the one at Red Deer. These pipelines should be inspected at least on a monthly basses and replaced at least once every 5 years. Besides they would provide a lot of jobs for people as well. So for once, Mike I agree with you.
I had a great weekend. I saw a couple of hockey games and did some music production and had a great 2 days off. This week I have a full week ahead especially Saturday. Anyway, that’s about all for now.

Yesterday while
waiting for my Saturday 9am bus I took this short video of outside our balcony. I added a couple more movies to my YouTube channel as well earlier from slightly behind the bus shelter. The slope of the land isn’t quite as bad as in the movie, it‘s just the way I‘m leaning.
I don’t know if I’m going to be able to get out to GLC next Saturday but I’m going to go work Monday anyway but if Neil says I can go with him at least then I’ll have at least 35.5 hours in and if Anne doesn’t know then what she wont know wont hurt her as the saying goes.
I’m having a lot of fun with my iPad and its fun taking video but what’s up with the annoying black bars on these videos? I read somewhere that it has to do with the aspect ratio but there’s no way (as far as I can tell) anyway to correct this. When I use my camera for video I don’t get these black bars. Anyway, that’s all for now.

I woke up from a
dream about half an hour ago and checked to see if Anne had left her iTouch player on my night stand but nothing. I’m reasonably refreshed anyway, so it’s not like I’m going to die because I lost an hour sleep here.
Sunday night, I’m telling Anne, I’m working Monday because next Saturday Commercial will be having “their last meeting” for the season before they go dark. Actually their last meeting before dark was last Saturday. This next Saturday I plan on being in Red Deer for the day, hopefully with Neil for part of the Grand Lodge of Alberta Communication. If Neil’s wife says no, then I’m in. I’ll dress up in my suit and meet Neil out here in the morning in the car and hopefully be back before Anne calls me. If we’re home by 7:45am then I’ll be fine. Neil said call him by Wednesday. Reg says there is a van leaving out of Edmonton for the day and that’s my other option. I’ll be calling Reg this afternoon and or trying to reach him through out the day. So that’s plan B. With Neil, I’ll have a better chance of making Anne’s 8pm-ish phone call.
The Montreal Grand pre is about to get underway but student protests are heckling the fans, organizers and drivers. I don’t know why Police stop codling these student protesters and give them all criminal records when they arrest them. Maybe they do, I hope so. More importantly shut school down over the summer for the September semester.
I gave Anne an extra $20 from my pay yesterday and she’s got that as I was going to take her out for lunch at Earl’s just over here and I was prepared to do this but she came back from shopping while I was watching Smackdown and brought back a rack of baby back ribs she bought from Superstore instead saying we just went out last week. Good. I can put some money away in the bank.
I’ve been wanting to save up for a pair of Monster Beats by Dr Dre Studio Headphones. The main “problem” with these headphones is they require batteries and the price. As a aspiring music production “engineer” I need some good quality studio headphones. Anne will rack me over the coals for these but “I bought them from Tim for $100 as he got them from an endorsement deal bla, bla, bla.”
I was thinking about leaving out of here in about an hour and get some breakfast but more then likely I’ll grab a bite at Tim’s and head into the office for my 6 hours and get ready for the hockey game tonight. Anyway, that’s about all for now.

On my way into the
office this morning, I’m picking up a lotto max ticket. It’s not quite at the $50M mark, but $43M is a nice chunk of change.
Not much going on this weekend. We‘re having our Gay Pride parade here Saturday. I‘m not Gay obviously but it‘s been an event here over the last number of years.
Also after work Saturday (parade will be in full swing) I‘ll pop into Audrey‘s to see if any of my Star Wars books are in and then over to Rexall and pick up another 6/49 ticket and a bag of chips and catch the train home, have a nap and then watch game #5 of the LA/NJ game. Hopefully The Kings will win the game tomorrow. A game #6 would mean the game goes back to LA and that won‘t be until about Monday. Game #7 if there is one, will be Wednesday right in the middle of June. If it goes to a game #7 NJ will win it for sure.
On Sunday I‘m taking my wife out to Earls over here on 59th street. She likes to go to Pet Smart and get some supplies and look at the pets and then we go to have a bite to eat. Depending on what goes down, maybe that outing could include a movie. Earls gets busy in the supper hour like most places do but movies 12 is almost next door from Earls, well by a block and a bit. But it depends on what’s playing. So, I’ve got a hockey game and dinner.
I would have liked to have gone to Commercial Lodge but because of the Grand Lodge pf Alberta Communication happening in Red Deer this upcoming weekend. I could book a Greyhound bus for a return trip would cost me about $30 for a return trip. I’d stay long enough for the bus to leave as I think it leaves at 6pm I’d be home by about 8:45pm. Its something to think about. Anyway, that's about all for now.

It's going to be quick meeting
this evening, all I got to do is to pick up a box of assorted donuts and then 3 X large pizzas and an easy night at the Lodge.
Ok,
I'm still a Conservative Party supporter despite some of the things our
PM is doing. Firstly I don't like the decision to have the EI tweaked.
There's no way a laid of banker making $120k/year should be forced to
make $12 at Tim Hortans. Or if you can't find a job in your
community/City in your chosen field you should move to another City
because there might be a job there. That's just wrong. I do like the
idea of Canadians first and we should limit the amount of foreign
workers. The other thing I don't like is the raising the age of OAS from
65-67. He even said he wouldn't back in 2004. This is a real bone of
contention for a lot of people. On these 2 issues, Harper dropped the
ball. I totally agree though that he should fast track things like the
Gateway and Keystone pipelines and pull the plug on "charitable tax
status" of these foreign funded radical groups that are threatening to
hijack Canada's economy.
I
was going into work this afternoon but for 4 hours its not worth it for
the company and it is summer as Anne. Next Monday I'm going in because
Saturday, Commercial Lodge has their last meeting and I want to
affiliate with Commercial as I'm beginning to know some of the guys
there.
Well,
LA couldn't get the job done last night. It looked like they were
running out of gas. They'll go to NJ and get it done there Saturday
night. Anyway, that's about all for now.

Its a nice cool
breeze out there, which is perfect for sleeping overnight. At the moment its +18* out there.
On our local news they were talking about a Venus transit of the Sun, which should be taking place just after 4pm this afternoon. I’ll be inside the office as the transit will be able to be seen here on earth but weather forecasters are calling for a partially overcast day so we might not be able to see it here. This is going to be the opening topic on Coast tonight. The next one wont be until 2117.
Affiliates of these foreign funded radical groups and even local ones like the David Suzuki foundation went and partially dimmed their websites in protest to Ottawa’s plans to fast track important energy projects. I’d like to see them shut down myself. I don’t visit them. I know where their money comes from.
It’s hard to believe that “A Game of Thorns” (AGT) is in its 10th week. I read the first novel and I hope to go back to the series and read the book #2 and when the first year of the series is over, I’ll order it on iTunes
Edmonton Oiler’s first round Nail Yakapov was in town the other day and he seems to like Edmonton. We should use him as trade bait and make a play for, Alexander Semin, Zach Parise or Shane Doan and maybe trade Yakapov and a couple of others for him. Parise is the most hot after potential free agent this summer. We maybe sign them for a 2 year contract. Anyway, that’s about all I have for now.

I've been trying to figure
out
why our power bill is up so high. I know the aquarium tank racks up a
lot of power. I keep the radio on all the time, I’m sure that doesn’t
help keep our bill low. Even now nobody is watching the TV but that’s
on. We use energy efficient light bulbs and we do have “night lights” on
in the apartment but these things all together shouldn’t have our bill
as high as it is. Then I realized one of the biggest contributors to our
power bill so high is we power up 2 devices over night all the time:
The iTouch I gave Anne and my iPad. Both of these devices I’m sure rack
up our power bill. I’m going to call Epcor and ask if these devices make
any difference to the increase of our power bill rates.
I had a pretty good sleep over night. I looked at the clock about 10:30 this morning and I figured I’ll get up at noon. I looked again and it was 1:30pm! Yeesh, where did the time go?
Coast looks kind of interesting tonight Prophecy of the Popes. Joining George Noory, author and publisher with a specialty in End Times and prophecy, Tom Horn, discusses his new research on the prophecy of the Popes, and how 2012 will be the fulfillment of St. Malachy's prediction that the Catholic Church will see one final Pope before its destruction. This is kind of a luke warm topic for me but I‘ll listen for a bit.
On the news last night they were talking about Amelia Earhart how she might have crashed landed her plane. A handful of newly discovered artifacts, including a jar of freckle fading cream, suggest that Earhart and her navigator Fred Noonan landed on the island of Nikumaroro in 1937 and survived for some time. Earhart was interested in publicity and endorsements deals then anything else and some even suggested that she faxed her own death but here’s a better look at the story from i09.
Yesterday I’ve been looking for a solution on how to convert Wav files to midi files. At first I came across “Audacity” in a YouTube video and I had “Audacity” for a long time now but after following instructions, “File/import to midi,” it didn’t work. I know in “Vari audio” there was a midi function, so I tried that and it took the Wav file and converted it to midi for further editing in the key editor. Now can I revert the process back to Wav again? Vari audio isn’t a bad plug in but Melodyne editor is way better but I’d really like Komplete 8 as well. After Tuesday, I’ll need $450 left to get this.
It’s a beautiful day out there, 18* nice breeze nice and sunny. Anne’s out at Superstore to do some shopping and then we’ll have our brunch and the rest of the evening I’ll relax.
LA Kings are now 2 games away from winning their first Stanley Cup and game #3 starts Monday. So they play every other day. If LA wins game #3 Monday night and they’re in LA, then the Kings are only 1 game away from winning the Stanley Cup and that game could be (if they sweep the series) Wednesday night. In which case, we’ll be able to watch it at work. First time in NHL history in this present format an 8th seeded team swept all 4 series to a Stanley Cup. If they win the next 2 games that is. Anyway, that’s all I have for today.

After work on
Saturday I think I'd like to catch a #5 bus head up over to near the lrt tunnel and take a photo of the big pit being dug out there and see if there is any sign or indication of what's being built there. Then I'd like to get a #2 bus and head on up to Riverside Towers area and take a couple of photos of the construction going on there. After that it's off to Wendy's for a bite to eat and then over to Clareview campus and take some photos of the construction going on there. So thats about 4 stops, including eats.
Ahh, Fridays
the
afternoon was ok but for the most part things went by really slow. One
of the major obstacles in the political end of my calls I get about half
of the customer at the other end when asked if they are a supporter for
the party, the most common answer I get is "I don't disclose my
political views over the phone. And when someone says "yes" chances are
they're unemployed and or "I half to to talk with my other half," or
they're unemployed. And of course there are lots of answering machines
or screeners asking what the call is about. I hang up on those and move
on. I was doing really good on the OPC last week but this week I
fizzeld out.
Apparently
the next playoff game wont be until Saturday night, which is OK by me.
It seems this roundthey play 1 game and have 2 days off. So if LA keeps
going the way they have been and sweep NJ the Stanley Cup game itself
won't be until next Friday. If they sweep NJ in 4 games. So far they
haven't lost in 9 games! That's a record.
Yesterday was Kevin Pereira's
last ATOS and its a shame. He's going to be a really tough act to
follow. I don't know who his knew replacement is but its sad to see him
go. We'll see on Monday who they (if anyone).
I've
got a full day today and its to my bank and home and one day and I've
got 2 off but i'm trying to save up enough funds for Komplete 8 and I'm
thinking if I can put every Monday night for 4 hours until about 1st
week in July I'll have it.
Anyway, that's about all I have for now.
