The world is still recovering from

what's happening in Ukraine. I've been following events there as close as anybody else interested. I don't suspect this campaign to last very long. But the ramifications of Putin's invasion are going to affect him directly and his inner circle. Trudeau is on board with having Russia banned from the S.W.I.F.T banking system. Analysts are saying such a move could remove ~40% of Russia's revenue and ~ 5% of their GDP. That's going to be huge but this is overtime if it happens at all.

Last night I got the chills. I put up with it until bed but the chills increased. I began to feel this tightness in my stomach, and with that a groan. Then sometime about 6am I was able to get to sleep. I woke up feeling better, but groggy at ~1:30pm. I did my usual routine. No coffee. No pop all day. Very little Internet. I slept on the couch dozing in and out of Global news. That was an hour ago. This morning Anne was telling me I might have got some strange brew/cross-contamination resulting in food poisoning. I thought it was my CVI returning since the food poisoning had all the elements of CVI from 2017. I don't want to go through another episode like last night.

I'm up at 7am to get ready, for BoB across the street. Anne is on her way out to Walmart, and McDonald's for me for a bite to eat tonight and breakfast for BoB. Well, that was the plan until moments ago when the lead Pastor said he's not well and will cancel BoB in the morning. I was looking forward to it. I'm usually up around 10am most Saturdays anyway and there's an Oilers game on at 10:30. Anyway, that's all for now.

Its Family day

Monday. Anne slept through most of it. I was up at 9am. I had my lunch at noon and enjoyed a fun session at the Sound test room.

All afternoon, I'm trying to figure out how to use my expansions in Komplete Ultimate 12 (k12U). I have 50 expansion packs and I can't use them because I don't have Komplete Kontrol and I'm not sure what happened.

Over the weekend, Police pushed back the protestors, in the Freedom Convoy "peaceful protest." Honking horns, intimidating residents, forcing businesses to close are not peaceful. Earlier the Federal Government active what's called Emergency act. It gives Police to arrest these so-called "peaceful protestors, even impounding the owners of these unvaccinated truckers behind the whole thing. After almost 3 weeks, things are more or less contained in the Nations Capital. Anyway, that's all for now.

My concerns were

addressed earlier about my ethernet/router replacement and Anne's shift earlier. She logged on and had no issues. Relief.

One of my "Facebook friends" went and put me on hold for 30 days because I voiced concern about some people we know. So he put our "friendship" on pause. By this time I had enough and blocked him. He won't know until the 30 days are up I blocked him. Permanently. My post had nothing to do with gossip. I pulled the post anyway.

Well, it's now 3-2 Oilers in the 2nd. Looks like we have us a game. That's all for now.

Now that was

Fast. I placed my Amazon order x2 50' Ethernet cables, x1 Apple USB C headphone dongle for my iPad pro, and a metal callous remover late Sunday afternoon, and it arrived this morning at 11:30am. Fast. However, I forgot to order a 6' USB 3 to USB C cable for my camera. I love Amazon.

My big project this afternoon was rearranging the stuff on my desk. My computer tower, work laptop 27" monitor, Nintendo Switch & dock, and other items. Still lots of cable management ahead of me. My iPad is still situated on top of my computer tower. Not sure yet where my Sony mirrorless camera is going to go. Tomorrow, I'm installing the RRGB lighting. Running low on USB 3 ports.

Yesterday, while on the road in San Jose, the Oilers faced a team that hadn't played in almost 2 weeks. Oilers took advantage of that for a 3-0 Victory. Tonight the boys are in LA. It's 1-0 at the end of the 1st. Anyway, that's all for now.

Its been an interesting week

to say the least. I got my compression stockings Tuesday. Our change of address settled with our pensions. The Provincial Restriction exemption program is more or less on hold, I got another video uploaded, BoB breakfast (pending the Rep in place) tomorrow at 8am. I even got the NIV Bible app on my iPad pro. Some businesses want to keep it. Anne says I should stay regardless. I'm triple vaccinated, I'll keep my mask on except while eating. So, it's been quite a week.

What with Oilers coach Dave Tippit being fired the other day, I was a bit ambivalent watching tonight's NYI/Oilers contest at Rogers's place. Oilers GM called up Jay Woodcroft. I followed the first and 2nd most of the 2nd when I saw the score 2-0. We got ourselves a game to watch😀When it was. I was relieved to see the Oilers win 3-1. First, win since the All-Star break.

Not that I'm going to make it a habit but also this week, another first for Jimmy: I found the Kindle reader app and my first Kindle book: The Library Witch series. It's a Cozy Mystery series, books 4-6. I want to I went and downloaded dl the new Robert J. Sawyer book before it goes to Hardcopy, which I'll do over the weekend if it's available that is. Anyway, that's all for now.

And I'm back with yet another

post. Yesterday, after being stuck inside during our last cold snap I ventured out to Health Care Solutions Northgate. I had a 15-minute wait for the bus to Clareview. I probably should have gone across the street because that's the way the #104 goes to Coliseum station.

They are a major expense and with my wight, I'm afraid I'd break it. Anne says she is looking at getting a folding wheelchair that we can haul up to the apartment but we could damage it pulling up the steps. A folding wheelchair might help and hinder me at the same time. IDK yet.

I managed to get my stockings. I can get my next pair (Aids to daily living) protocalls in April. Hopefully these will last until than.

Yesterday Alberta Premier Jason Kenney lifted the Restrictions Exemption program (rep). The only caveat to this is hospitalization numbers. If its going to compromise hospital beds, and nurses can't do their job and triage protocols need to be in place, then the rep might return. I expect this will happen before the end of the month.

Will Russia invade Ukrane? Russian dictator Putin said no. I trust Putin like I trust China, wich is nill. I'm no expert on geopolitical affairs but my guess is as soon as Nato moves into Ukrane, Russia will invade.

Tonight I'm following the Oilers game. Lets see if Smith can redeem himself from last night's disaster. Oilers are hosting Chicago. Anyway, that's all for now.

Uh-oh. Since we never put in a change of address

ince we moved in September, how are we going to get our T4's? I was able to get my employer's T4, no problem there. I think short of going to our old address next lot over, I can get mine from My Service Canada. Anne might have to open up her own  My Service Canada account.

The truck convey (protestor mob) in Ottawa is getting out of control. I posted this the other day on my Fb page:

Apparently, a counter-protest is about to get underway. Alberta Premier Jason Kenney is about to lift almost all mandates and restrictions. He did this in an effort to appease the truck blockade at the US/Canadian border. Soon the Restriction Exemption program (REP) will be lifted within days. This is proof of vaccination at the door of most nonessential services/businesses. This is folly. Within days of lifting the REP hospitalization rates will go through the roof. These are strange times. Anyway, that's all for now

Amazon orders and chillin

has been my life lately. We're expecting Anne's chair cane to arrive any day now. I didn't recognize the initial #403 area code on my display when it came in last week so it was reshipped from Canada post. So now I'm alert and ready for our intercom buzzer to ring then the #403. Or the next number to come in.

We've got an arctic front (again) sitting over us ice icing up our windows. Well, ~ -18 isn't that cold. but it's the wind chill. We have it here until Thursday when I need to go to lodge to pay my lodge dues for the year. If I'm up for it I want to get some McDonald's on the way back. We're supposed to be having a nice weekend:

At the moment I can't do any audio/video until that Amazon order comes in. I've got some journaling to do anyway.

After Thursday, not much going on. Just the way I like it. I'm sitting here enjoying my first coffee. However, I have a bit of a DIY project I want to tackle this week before Anne starts her shift. I want to move our internet cable etc route and my tower. It's kind of sitting on the edge where it is now. The router is to the right off camera but it's going to go into the space just underneath the calendar. The computer tower is going to go over by where the desk support column is. The phone and sound card on the same shelf as the modem near my Nintendo Switch. The most difficult part of all of this is getting the router's power connecter tucked behind some furniture off camera. Also, there is a big tangled mess of cables under the desk. It's going to be a challenge to get under the desk with this old stiffed-up body.

Anne and I are doing as well as can be expected. Anyway, that's about all for now.
