My Royal Arch degree

went well Thursday night. I won't lie but it was tough standing on my feet. I think next time, I'm going to use a cane next month.

This morning I called Long & McQuade to see if they have the Arturia mini lab controller in stock. I said the white one. "My name is on file, Jim Shannon." "Oh right Jim, it's Tim here," we had a nice chat. "I'll have one out for you. We had a nice chat. I left out of here at about 12: 45pm under sunny skies, although it was a bit breezy out there. I had a bit of a wait until my Clare/Coliseum bus came. I was there at Long & McQuade at ~ 1:30pm looking over some gear I'd like to get: I'm looking at the Rode X streamer and of course the MPC key 37 etc. I got home at the start of the 2nd period Anaheim/Oilers game. 3-0 Oilers. Anne did her vacuuming during the 2nd period. I caught some of it. Finale score was Anaheim 1 Oilers 6.

After I registered and activated my Arturia controller, I had a nice relaxing night. I suggested to Anne when she got off work, let's go half on a Royal Pizza. $15 each. So far having a great Easter weekend. On Tuesday I'm going out to London Drugs Northgate, to see if they can help troubleshoot the focus woes I'm having with my Sony camera. Happy Easter everybody.

We finally got the desk box picked up

by Rosenau Transport shortly before 4pm. I had to sign for the item. It was great that the driver in a bear hug with the package was able to walk down both flights of stairs and up to his truck. The package was almost 100 pounds. I highly recommend Rosenau Transport.

Other than that not much going on until my 5th York Rite degree. I'm memorizing the qualifying material, so I'm a bit nervous about that.

Friday I hope to get my (MFI) approved Apple USB C power adapter for my iPad and that will be coming Friday. In between all of the above, I have 2 Oilers games, tomorrow and Saturday. Anyway, that's all for now.

Had a busy

week.

I had an eye exam on Thursday but I had to cancel due to the weather. I have it rebooked for April 11th.

We've been getting a lot of these. 1-2 cm episodes of snow off and on all week.

I'm up early for an event this morning, then hopefully, I'm off to Long & McQuade to see about a 25-key midi controller, then off to get my haircut; and over to Staples to get some gel pens, an Apple USB A-C charging cable then home.

Next week I'm taking Anne out for dinner across the street to Corck and Barly. Thursday is my "most excellent masters" RA.* I'm looking forward to that. Anyway, that's all for now.

Finally got our

taxes done. Our tax guy sent along our tax return notice and the T183 form to sign. All he just has to do is file and that will be done today.

Just when we thought the "plumbers" we're done with the toilet, we're still having issues with the stopper in the tank. Also this week I'm taking out to Red Lobster. I'm not too keen on lobster but they have cheeseburgers there, apparently, I have an easy week at last. Anyway, that's all for now.

My ABI scan went well yesterday

I passed everything with high marks. I even got my feet cleaned. The PCN Fort Road experience was really good.

I had an appointment-free day today. I got our tax forms ready. Hopefully, we will get everything by the weekend, our notice of assessment in our hands by the end of the month, and other things in progress.

I'm out of here at 10:30am for my Doctor's appointment at 10:30 downtown. I need to have the wax buildup removed from my ears so I can restore my hearing. At least the weather is slowly improving. Anyway, that's all for now.

My last day before my work pause

was Thursday and wax buildup in my ears returned last week. Last year I ended up seeing my Doctor and he used a pressure caulking gun set up. That really helped. Plus I have a visit to our PCN over here on Fort Road on Tuesday for an ABI scan.

This year our family Doctor is "retiring" in August. Most likely it's because of the lousy deal they are getting from the Alberta Government. Add immigration to the mix on a Federal level and a Doctor shortage is imminent.

Speaking about medical issues, the Feds have reached in principle a National Pharmacare deal for low-income Canadians. Most likely it's going to be an election issue. Another carrot at the end of a voting stick. I like this deal because it would give free insulin and diabetic med supplies to diabetics. Those meds are costing me $400/year. That may not sound like a lot but that's about $35 we could apply to our monthly utility bill and or food.

One thing is certain, when we get our notice of assessment we have everything we need to activate our 2-year waiting list seniors residence, where our rent is 40% of our income. If we get a rental increase, they have to wait 6 months before they can activate it. If they charge us more than 25%, we only need to wait 18 months but then we have to apply to all of the properties our provider has. The good news it's based on need.

Anyway, I have 6 months off as I'm back after labour day. If we have a project. We have some projects under contract and we will be returning to one of them. Anyway, that's all for now.
