Now

Trump want's to stop the opening of the Gordie Howe bridge linking Windsor to Detroit. Canada paid for the birdge at a price of $6.4B. Half of the materials for the bridge are both American and Canadian sorced.

On this date in 1902, Dr. Eugene-Louis Doyen of Paris surgically separated Radica and Doodica, Siamese twins from the Barnum and Bailey Circus.

The operation was initially considered a success, but both girls died within a year of the procedure. Thomas Scholl of Munich issued the world's fastest yodel—22 tones (15 falsetto) within one second (1992).

Now my sleep patterns are being compromized. I like to be in bed by 4am or 5am to get about 4-6 hours sleep. Yesterday (thanks to Restless Leg Syndrome) I didn't get to sleep until 8:30am. Yeesh. Anyway, that's all for now.

Monday, February 9, 2026

This week, besides the

obvious, I have Monday night RAW to watch this evening, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday the big day.

On the CTV National, we were watching a news news story about how Canadian Doctors are leaving Canada because of being bogged down in paper work. I think that's part of the story. The average Canadian Doctor is being bogged down with unessecary after hour paper work. I read where the average Doctor in Canada, is being bombarded by this red tape paper work. About 90% of Canadian Doctors are stressed out and burned out. If this administrative work was eliminated, it would free up the equivalent of 9,000 full-time physicians. In this country. Its called "Red tape diseas." The other issues is the baby boomer generation. Most of us (me included) are in care centers like this. Plus add immigration to the mix and yikes. Scarry stuff.

I'm hoping for a work schedule for after the family day next weekend. If I can get at least 2 weeks work, I'd be happy with that. Anyway, that's all for now.

Sunday, February 8, 2026

We have another

project that starts on the 11th. I'll be with AASR for those 4 days. Best I can do is join the crew after Family day. If I can get 10 days out of work for that, then this would be good.

On this day in 1812, the New Madrid earthquake hit. At a magnitude estimated to be 8.2, it was the largest recorded earthquake in the contiguous United States. The town of New Madrid, Missouri was destroyed, and the Mississippi River was said to run backward for several hours.

The fellow that does our tax filing says that CRA has all the T4's on line. I've done this once but I got things confused with the bank as a sign in partner and my login credentials. It's just like signing up to any other online service. This is great because I can get my 2025 NOA from my account page and email that to the office for my rent for this year. Anyway, that's all for now.

Anne made me

a nice meat loaf, baked potato, brown beans dinner last night. Delish. She's watching a recording of the opening of the 2026 Olympics.

I knew this was going to happen: The January 2026 North American winter storm delayed preparations for the launch. A wet dress rehearsal of the countdown

occurred February 2. Following the test, NASA announced that the launch would be postponed to March 2026 due to a liquid hydrogen leak that occurred during the simulated countdown. Never say never but I doubt Artimis 2 will happen.

I was going out to Band of Brothers today, but I was out 2 times this week and next week I'm out 4 times, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday am for a 4 day seminar. More on that later. Anyway that's all for now.

Friday, February 6, 2026

We had a great

turnout at Lodge last night, allthough it was a late one. I was home shortly before 11pm. A day off today. I might got out to Band of Brothers Saturday morning though. We'll see.

Just took this photo over looking the roof of the main floor lounge. Two days ago, this was covered in snow. Local meteorologist's are calling for a cooling trend near the end of next week that could take us beyond Valintines day and into the end of the month.
As for tonight, its "Smackdown".  Anyway, that's all for now.

I don't have much info

on the Canada Groceries & essentials bennift (CGEB) This is to replace the GST. It basically breaks down to about $80/month over the course of a year. It takes place in June. Once we file of course.

It was the coldest of all days in North America on this date in 1947, when the temperature dropped to 81 degrees below zero Fahrenheit in Snag, Yukon. It was so cold that weather observer Gordon Toole's exhaled breath turned to icy powder as it hit the ground. And in 1982, John Sharples of England finished a 371-hour marathon of disco dancing

Today I need to get out of here before noon, for Bonnie Doon Mall, Shoppers Drug Mart, to get my RSV shot, insulin. Then a haircut, and food court/lotto ticket and home. Lets see how that goes. Anyway, that's all for now.

2 days into our fight

I feel we're in the eye of the hurricane moment. Or the pause before the climax of the story. I don't know why she's behaving this way. It's not like I did anything bad. Besides, I don't know how long I'm going to remain in AASR.

The building they are in has been sold. AASR etc, could remain in the building as new ownership might just keep it as is. Or maybe new ownership wants to demo the building, rezone the land for housing. Where would AASR go? If it's one of the 3 lodges in the city, fine. I might stay. If they decide to go to a knew location, I'm gone. If it's the status quo I might just kick the tires one section/year, see how it goes and my place in AASR. All kinds of options here. In the end I might just stick with my craft lodge and call it a day. I don't know yet.

The other option and if this defines our marriage (I don't see that happening,) where I'm living they have a path (for low income seniors like me) with limited mobility and in bad shape (again like me) to move into a lodge set up 3 meal/day. Still independant living and I can have $300/month spending, I'd sign a "no fault divorce" in a flash. Especially if the transition was easy. I'd hate to lose Anne but the above would be a worst case scenario. Maybe I'm getting to personal here, IDK. But nobody reads this anyway. Anyway, that's all for now.

Right now Anne is all sour and bitter at me

because I joined Scottish Rite Masonry, and after the initial degrees, I'm out 3 nights in a month. AASR will get me my 32°. Right now I'm public enemy no.1 for Anne. It's not like I'm out gambling or in the bar a couple times/week or chasing after women. This will blow over soon. She's just pissed because I was out Friday and now out last night at prictice. Half the time she's out shopping or sleeping.

I think today or tomorrow, I'm out to get my RSV shot and a haircut and maybe a bite to eat at the food court, and home. It'll be one of these days. Tonight is the fallout of Saturday's Royal Rumble Anyway, that's all for now.

Sunday, February 1, 2026

Welcome to February

Which I call "Gateway to Spring." There's a phrase that rolls off the tip of your tounge. Spring is just around the corner.

I was in bed about an hour ago, but I have sleep dissorders. Mainly restless legs syndrome, and possibly diebetes and anxiety. leading to all of the above. I thought the glass of beer I had earlier would help. Anne made me a PBJ sammy, and some warm milk, might help me sleep better. I have lodge practice tonight but I'm not involved in anything significant. My sleep issues have nothing to do with that.

I really enjoyed Royal Rumble yesterday. It was a 4 hour show. I was hoping that Gunther would have won but Roman Reigns shared the spotlight with Gunther at the end. Oba Femi, looked good. I'm glad Trix Williams was ousted. Anyway, that's all for now. Lets try getting back to sleep.

My Lodge brother

picked me up at the right time, just as it started to rain. X and I went through our lodge together back in 2002. We had 12 IPM's at "Homefire Grill." The fellowship was good. Great fellowship. I had the cheese burger.  They cut it in half for me. It was very tastey. I could only eat half of it. I got a take out box for the other half.  Great fellowship. It was raining. We were there for a good 2 hours.

Larvae and snow fell together in the Eifel Mountains in Germany on this date in 1847. 30 years ago, Comet Hyakutake was discovered and dubbed The Great Comet of 1996 due to its close passage.

On tap for today is WWE's Royal Rumble on @ 11am Should be a good time. After that it's the Oilers/Wild game. on @ 8pm. I'm looking forward to both events. Anyway, that's all for now.

Friday, January 30, 2026

Our IPM dinner

is @ 6pm in an undisclosed venue. For obvious reasons😎 I'll probably just order a desert because this place is pretty pricey.

San Diego teen Brenda Ann Spencer explained why she sprayed bullets on classmates on this day in 1979: 'I don't like Mondays.' This date also saw Edgar Allan Poe's The Raven published under a pseudonym in the New York Evening Mirror (1845).

I have a ride to our IPM dinner and back tonight. My mens spiritual breakfast outing Saturday is early in the morning and a Tims detour at Corona. I need to take a bus to the train and transfer onto another train to Clareview and then a cab. There is also a risk of freezing rain Saturday overnight. Plus I have Lodge practice Sunday. I fit wasn't for the freezing rain and Lodge practice, I'd do the breakfast. I dont mind the 3 events in one day, it's just the early morning one, that compromises everything. Something has got to give. Sorry BoB. Anyway, that's all for now.

Tuesday, January 27, 2026

I woke up about 9am,

had my coffee, and doing something online, waiting for disability trust solutions to call. Sure enough they did. I told them to place my phone number on their DNC, (Do not call) list, and hung up. I got anothercall from that same company, telling them the same thing. I even blocked their email as well. Hopefully, they comply with this.

Basically all afternoon, I was on youtube doing my steps, that sort of thing. I had some lunch about noon. More You Tube stuff. About 4pm hearing Anne somewhat awake. I decided to go back to bed for a nap. Anne hour later I woke up at 4pm, feeling good. Anne made served me up some raviloli and a cheese bun. She's off to Costco.

About November last year, I arranged to have my AADL file moved from Healthcare sollutions to the Medi Shop located just over here West of the Value Villiage. I had arranged them to have my compression stockings to pick up at the Medi Shop location😀This makes more sense then traveling to Northgate. That was until I realized that Healthcare Solutions can deliver, and they did that one time. Did I make a mistake with this? Anyway, that's all for now.

Not much going on at the

moment.

Earlier today, I received a call from a Disability Tax Credit advocacy group out of Toronto. They said they could help me apply for the Disability Tax Credit. I had a bad feeling about how all of this would turn out, so I looked up “Disability Trust.” They seemed legitimate, with an office in Toronto. They told me I would need my 2024 Notice of Assessment, but I couldn’t find it. When I do find it, I would also need to add Disability Trust to my CRA file by speaking with a CRA agent and getting my Line 15000 information.

I told them I would do that in the morning. I also mentioned that our family doctor retired two years ago. The lady said that wasn’t necessary, so I agreed to call CRA in the morning — though I still had a bad feeling about it. Later on, I received a follow-up email saying I would need confirmation from a doctor about my scoliosis, probably an X-ray. I explained again that I don’t have a family doctor. That confirmed the bad feeling I had earlier. Because of that, there’s no point in calling CRA in the morning.

If I have to go through several hoops to get this done, I'm just going to abandon this whole enterprise. I found out through Reddit, that this is a scam. Anyway, that's all for now.

This sciatica just wont let go

I’m going into my 11th day now. The last time I had sciatica was around 1999, when I was working as a security guard for a company called Innertech — long since vanished into history. I remember working at the Clareview Mall here in Edmonton and taking the bus from the west end, feeling every bump along the way. This was before the Alberta government regulated the security guard industry. Back then, my sciatica lasted about two weeks.

For the most of the afternoon I was working on my new Facebook page for 2026 I got the basic image from Canva but Facebook wouldn't accept it. I took the same image to Adobe express and it was easy to have it resized. I'd rather get Adobe express but it is more expensive then Canva. I can't afford Cad $130/year.

Last nights Washington Capitals/Oilers game was very entertaining. Oilers Evan Bouchard (Bouch) scored 3 goals (hat trick) and 3 points. No Oilers D has done that in over 40 years. Oilers won 5-4 in OT. Pretty remarkable for a Defenceman. Anyway, that's all for now.

Chapter was very enjoyable last night

I got installed as musical director. I wore fleece underneath my dress pants, and a t-shirt underneath my dress shirt because the hall manager likes to keep the temple cold so the guys dont fall asleep. I even have a Scottish Rite connection, which is cool. I got a ride home andAnne had a baked pasta with chicken breast which I really enjoy

It was on this date in 1881 that the ancient Egyptian obelisk known as Cleopatra's Needle was erected in NYC's Central Park. Amsterdam's Schipol Airport opened a departure lounge for cattle on January 22, 1988.

Right now it's -29°C at this hour. We're on a warming trend after weekend. Well that's all I have for now.

Thursday, January 22, 2026

I never made it to Bonnie Doon Mall

Yesterday. My sciatica is slowly making an exit out of my system. Last night Anne went on a bottle run and then to Capalino mall Wallmart and got me some Aleve roll on and a proper one strap sleep shield. This new one is a lot stronger then the last one.

Anne made a nice mash potato meat loaf dinner with half a cheese bun, Very good. We watched the Naational and local news, and that led me to midnight.

I'm doing good as far my steps go. Yesterday I did 3,401 steps, which has been about average. I usually like to have ~ 3,100 steps/day and at least 1,000/1500 steps before bed.

This evening I'm in my suit attending my Royal Arch chapter. The fellow that has been giving me a ride to and back from chapter practice might not be able to give me a lift today, because he'll be at the hall early but he said he will give me a call to let me know. Anyway, that's all for now.

Monday, January 19, 2026

I was tired enough to

go to bed early. 4am is early for me. First of all my restless leg syndrome kicked in, keeping me awake. Then, i took a melatonin pill, and that didn't work. Finally slumber shut down the world around me from 6am-11am. I got a good 5 hours of sleep.

Today is Martin Luther King jr. day. I thik Mark Carney is doing a fine job in this country, but we could sure use a guy like Martin Luther King jr. today.

I've got Monday night Raw this evening and I'm looking forward to that. That's all for now.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      .

I had a bit of a wait

for my ride but it was a nice day out there. I should ask him if he could lower the front seat so I could slide in. The instalation is nothing new, same as in a craaft Lodge. My ride said that he might not be able to pick me up Thursday, but he will drop me off. I dont have any duty for Thursday. Just to show up and being installed as "Musical coordinater."

For the next several days I've got wrestling tonight, Oilers hocket Tuesday, Chapter Thursday.

Next week we we're holding our Past Masters association dinner. And that should be all for the month of January. All in all, it was a good day today. Anyway, that's all for now.

Sunday, January 18, 2026

If this is Sciatica

pain, I went through this around 1998 and it lasted a week.  I was doing security guard work as well at the time.

Last nights Oilers/Canucks game began lame. I thought (at the end of the 1st period) not another 0-0 game. I was going to give up on the game but after intermission decided against it. 6 goals later in the 2nd period.😲 Talks about a one off. Sure enough no goals were scored after that. The game ended Oilers 6 Canucks 0. Vancouver is in rebuild mode anyway. Pardon the spellos.

My lower back is very soar. I went down to the vending machine for a can of diet cola, and I was in a lot of disscomfort heading up the elevator back into our suite. Perry is picking me up for Chapter proactice at noon today. I'm anticipating a bit of an ordeal just to get up the stairs to the outside of he building Anyway, that's all for now,

Saturday, January 17, 2026

I was all set and ready to go

for my breakfast gig this morning but when Anne (after her shift) returned from her errand to get some dipping sauce over there by Bonny Doon Mall, she gave me a progress report saying that it's pretty slippery out there at the corner where I need to cross the street to get my 6:30 bus. Still not recovered from my fall Wednesday, I decided not to show up. I'll resume in March. Weather conditions could be a lot better at that time

However (if it's still a go) I still plan on going to Chapter practice Sunday. I'm not sure if there is any music at the instalation, since I have yet to attend a Royal Arch instalation. Perry  is picking me up at noon tomorrow. Anyway, that's all for now. ANyway, that's all for now.

Friday, January 16, 2026

I have a "day off" today

but Saturday I'm attending an early morning mens spiritual breakfast gathering. It's at an undissclosed location. It's a personal thing, North East Edmonton. It's close to Shoppers drug mart where I got my 2/4 shots. I'll be getting those after my meeting. After that, on my way home, I want to go to Bonny Doon Mall get myself a haircut, and maybe some lunch. This way saves Anne from cooking before her Saturday shift.

Today in the US its National Fig Newton Day on January 16th recognizes a tasty pastry enjoyed across the country. Whether you enjoy figs newtons or would prefer a different pastry dessert, stick around and learn a few things about National Fig Newton Day!

Sunday, at noon my Royal Arch Chapter is holding it's practice for our instalation. I missed my first one last year because that cab driver got instructions messed up. This year I get a ride. That takes me up to Thursday, where Chapter has it's instalation and I get to be appointed a Chapter officer. I think. Anyway, that's all for now.

Thursday, January 15, 2026

Yesterday, Anne and I headed out

for our outing. We caught the Bonny Doon Mall bus. There was some confusion on Anne's part because she could see the bus about to cross Conners road.  It was the #524, as it had to head north on Connors road to 95th Ave. then turn right on 95th ave beside our building and to the bus stop (behind CAVA Art galery) just to get to Strathean LRT stop.

We had a wait looking at the construction just East of where we were waiting 95th Ave. The construction was about 20 feet from us. Crews were pounding post holes into the pit. There were large pilons laying in the pit near the post hole machine, about 20 feet behind that leafless tree in the forground..

Our first part of our destination was Churchill connector that connects to the Capital line LRT ower concourse. We needed Century park side. More specifically to Southgate. We left at 4:30pm when the weather was pleasent, and at Southgate at 5pm during peak hours. We were at iHop at 5:40pm in the South Park Centre. We had the 2x5 breakfast. It was very good. Anne likes iHop because they leave the hole container of coffee on the table. I paid for both of us and left the tip.                                                Ok its about to get interesting next: We had a bit of a wait for the #704 back to Southgate and it got real cold waiting for our train to Churchil station. We were waiting for our Valley line train. Lots of homeless. Police on bikes checking in on the homeless people loitering around. Our train home was on the approach. We boarded and arrived at Muttart and top of Connors road on the home streatch, I got up to ready us so we can get to the button that lets us out. We have 2 miniutes roughly. So here's Jimmy, my left hand on a vertical railing and I'm streatching to reach the opposite vertical railing. The driver must have  torqued up as I couldn't get to the railing. All I know was here's 240 lbs of Jimmy losing balance on a high performance train neck hitting a lower handle in pinball fasion landing on the floor. Anne screaming. Nothing broken. Two young guys rushed to help me up. Very nice of them. I thanked them. Train came to our stop. I slowly stepped out. One foot after another. nothing broken. neck and lower right side above my hip, totall soar.
We hobbled back to our place. our outing was fine until that but it was my own fault. My lower back is still soar. Anyway, that's all for now.

I had a nice outing

yesterday, even though I misjudged where the Edmonto Tower was, whicj was 3 blocks East of where I was. At least the weather was nice. I probably should have got some lunch in Manulfe place anyway.

Anne needed to go to Costco and do some shopping. The Oilers were in Chicago entertaining te fans there. In between periods I was watching Monday night RAW from Düsoldorf, so it was recorded eariler on Netflex. I watched that during the Oilers game.

The game was 2-1, when Hyman scored 3-1 as Chicago was pouring it on. That's when Anne returned. We scored 2 fast goals near the end. My dinner was Costco fries and chicken. Nice dinner. I gave her a foot rub near the end of the local news, and that's where we are. I had a good day today. Anyway, that's all for now.

Monday, January 12, 2026

I'm out of here

before noon to make a trip to the Edmonton Service Centre (ETS) to get a new annual bus pass/Ark card. The last one (for this year) wasn't working for some reason. I actived it and. I went to streetview to see my LRT destination and the Centre's exterior was all fenced off. It was under renovation. This was July last year. I need to make sure that I can gain access into the building. I'm sure that job is done by now.

This week I have the above outing, Anne want's to go out for our monthly Wednesday. Most likely iHop, and Saturday I have a breakfast gig to attend to. After that I'm heading to Clareview shoppers to get my last 2 remaining shots. Good thing I'm not on the job this week like some of my Colleagues are. I can handle one more work project next month, and one more in the fall. Anyway, that's all for now.

Last night's LA Kings

@ Oilers game started with a recognition of Leon Draisaitl's 1000 point. The Oilers have more 1,000 point players in their organization then any NHL team in history. Draisaitle he recieved a golden stick, and a Rolex watch. Draisaitl's parents were even there. Even some of the LA Kings players were applauding him from the players bench. The game was up and down and tied for most of the night. #29 got 2 goals this game. The game ended up in a shoot out, with LA winning 4-3. It was a good game. Up next, tomorrow night in Chicago

Yesterday in the US was peculiar people day. Accentuate your eccentricities—January 10th is Peculiar People Day! Clara Peller, the now deceased Wendy's mouthpiece, first uttered 'Where's the Beef?' On broadcast TV (1984), and the first known physical contact with the moon was instigated by the US Army as radar signals bounced off the lunar surface all the way from New Jersey (1946).

Yesterday I recieved a nice welcome email for being balloted into the AASR. My first set of initiatiions begin in mid February. I still need to pay the fees. That will be at the end of the month. I've been wanting to do this since I became a Master mason in 2003. Anyway, that's all for now.

Not sure if I want to write in my diary

as I don't really have a lot to say today. "Famous last words." Since when have I ever been for loss of words?🤔

On this day in 1493, while sailing near the Dominican Republic, Christopher Columbus described seeing three "mermaids" who were "not half as beautiful as they are painted." In reality, he was actually observing manatees!

My music project for today is using Garageband's "Live loops" in Tracks mode and arrange a song. I haven't done this before. Should be fun. Genre undecided. Anyway, that's all for now.

Anne's been wanting

a new couch for quite awhile now. She would only buy one if the vender can haul the old one away Also, (last month) she was ok with me spending ~ $800 on a new desk. The desk is a luxury item. Now if she buys the couch and encouraged me to get the desk, why can't I join AASR? I'd get more value from AASR then a desk. I'll let her buy the couch first. Then I'll get the first of 3 fees off to AASR. I know that sounds like coersion, but its for a noble cause (AASR).

On January 7, 1610, Galileo made his great discovery of Jupiter's major moons including Io, Europa and Ganymede. This date also saw the lonely death of scientific genius Nikola Tesla in Room 3327 of the New Yorker Hotel, 1943.

I have nothing going on for the next 4 days. The Oilers are in Winnipeg for Thursday and LA Kings are here Friday. Monday, I'll be at the ET Sservice centre picking up my replacement Arc card. Then Anne and I are doing some couch shopping time. That's for next week. Anyway, that's all for now.

I hope to get outof here

By 11 a.m., my destination is Capilano Mall. From there, I take the #53 Clareview bus to Fort Road PCN for my 1 p.m. appointment. Occasionally, if there’s a cancellation, the foot nurse can see me earlier. The appointment itself only lasts about an hour. Afterward, I catch the #53 Clareview back again. At Clareview, it switches to the #53 Mill Woods. I get off at Capilano Mall and then take the #501 Davis home. I use the ETS app on my phone, which relies on the built-in GPS to let me know exactly when my bus will arrive. It’s a pretty slick app.

Last night’s Oilers game saw McDavid score his 14th career hat trick (three goals in one game), while Ryan Nugent-Hopkins recorded his 500th career point. To be fair, Nashville was playing on the second night of a back-to-back, but they were also 6 wins and 8 losses going into the game. McDavid now has 25 goals, making him the league’s top scorer—and there’s still plenty of season left.

I did make it to my PCN appointment. My usual foot nurse was unavailable, so I was seen by someone new. She didn’t do much, but she did point out that since I’m no longer in the T5A postal code, I’m no longer eligible to be seen there. I’ll need a referral to another PCN. The closest one to me is south of Century Park, which is difficult to get to. Sigh. Anyway, that’s all for now.

I had my alarm set early

this morning around 9 a.m., I called Healthcare Solutions because I had been told my compression stockings would be delivered either today or Wednesday. Since their individual stores don’t have phone numbers, I contacted the vendor’s central line. The woman I spoke with said the order was set for pickup. I explained that the order had been changed to delivery for the days mentioned above and provided the order number from the invoice. She corrected it, but didn’t tell me which day my “free shipping” order would be dropped off—so I’m still unsure. I also missed a call on my cell phone, which may have been the driver. 😲 I got a call from the driver, and he showed up @ 2:59pm😀Great seervice,

Tonight, I’ll be watching the Oilers take on the Nashville. Hopefully we can snap this two-game losing streak. We have a bunch of home games this month before the Olympic break, and we really need to take advantage of them.

Tomorrow I’m up early for laptop maintenance, and I also need to be out of here by about 11 a.m. for my PCN foot nurse appointment. Anne has to take Skippy to the vet for her monthly shot. Busy, busy. Anyway, that’s all for today.

At first when I heard

the news that Trump invaded Venezuela to capture Maduro and his wife, I thought bad for the country. Maduro was a bad dude. A lot of drugs that came into the US were from Maduro, Trump did a good thing. Hussein.

My first Tick Tock upload tonight from a You Tube short. The short was from awhile ago. Better then nothing. Lots more work to do on my profile lol Anyway, that's all for now.

Feels strange

heading to lodge on a Saturday night. We're holding it this way because our regular lodge meeting is the first Thursday of the month. The first Thursday was New Years. My ride will be here at 6pm.

I was watching a Think media video earlier. the presenter was using this real nifty wireless mic called Boya mini 2 It's about 3/4" with a built in filter. For $79. I'm considering the white one. However, I have my AASR fees, that need to be in, end of the month.

Update: Lodge was really good. I always feel good after attending lodge. Anyway, that's all for now.

Yesterday

I called Healthcare Solutions to let the Northgate store know that I would be coming in on Monday to pick up my compression stockings. While I was waiting in the queue, I heard that Healthcare Solutions offers a delivery service. Since I’m practically across town now, I asked whether they could deliver the stockings to the new address I gave them the other day. They said yes—delivery would be Tuesday or Wednesday. I should have given them my cell phone number, since I keep it by my bedside. I’ll need to call them again on Monday to provide it and see if they can deliver the stockings earlier, as I have a PCN appointment on Wednesday at 1 p.m.

I also decided to take my Royal Arch apron and the 100th-year patch to a tailor in Bonnie Doon Mall, located behind the RBC bank. My main goal for the trip, though, was to deal with my cell phone—to see if I could trade it in or change my plan—because their online bill payment system and my weak internet connection are both hit and miss. The clerk had me almost set up with the latest iPhone, but my ID had expired, which stopped the process at the final step. I asked if they could at least help me set up auto-pay. They weren’t sure at first, but they were able to switch me to a cheaper plan since I don’t use much data. I’m now paying $29 a month instead of $42, and they set up auto-pay. Sweet.

Feeling good about how the day was going, I headed north through the mall to find the tailor. Was that a Lotto booth ahead? Yes. I bought a Lotto Max ticket for tonight’s draw. I then found the tailor, and he accepted the job—two minutes and $15. Nice.

What a great day. All of that, and I was home by 12:30 p.m. I didn’t win the Lotto Max, of course, but it was a decent day all around.

Artimis 2 could be ready to

launch ~ February 5th of this year. It's a test flight sending a crew to the moon but not land. The 10-day mission will carry NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Koch, along with Jeremy Hansen of the Canadian Space Agency, on a free-return trajectory around the Moon and back to Earth.

Artimis 3 is supposed to land a crew on the moon. I have my doubts that will happen. More on Artimis 2 here.

Anne left out of here for Walmart Capilino mall. I think it has limited hours for New Years day

Tomorrow, I'm heading out to Northgate to get my compression stockings. This (hopefully) will be my last trip out that way. There is nothing I need out that way. (I also know about the affair Mary & Don have been having. She even told me showing me that photo of Don in a root bear moscot costume.) So if I ever run into that bitch and her scamming "Christian" MAGA "husband" it won't be at Northgate. I'll be getting my stockings closer to home. 1 bus ride. Anyway, that's all for now.

Welcome to January

first, 2026. Anne had already experienced the eighth-floor observation lounge during the Canada Day fireworks, but we had yet to see it on New Year’s Eve. About ten minutes before midnight, we headed upstairs to the eighth floor. The lounge overlooks Edmonton’s skyline across the North Saskatchewan River, while the fireworks were being set off in Churchill Square, surrounded by high-rise buildings. Quite a few of us gathered there, and someone even brought a bit of bubbly. We caught only fragments of the fireworks—just enough to know what we were missing. Most of us left disappointed.

My short term goal is to join the Scottish Rite Freemasonry. Or Edmonton Valley (AASR). First part is lodge of perfection. This section contains degrees, 4th through 14th. Dates are mid February. Part 2 Rose Croix 15-18. Finally the Consistatory, contines with 19-32nd°. That will be held in October. I hope to be active in our jurisdiction. Anne doesn't know yet. My 2 goals this year: Scottish Rite, and pay off my line of credit.

Earlier using Launchpad, I uploaded another video. First time in over 6 months. It's called Grime lights. Along with that I remixed a you tube short. Anyway, that's all for now.
