Ahh 2 days off the

job and what do I get? I'm out of bed at 8am, yeesh. Anne offered me a sleeping pill and I would have slept longer if I took it. I'll have one before bed tonight/tomorrow morning.

Yesterday was substantially warm on my commute. I got my book at Audrey's and got into the office for work on time. Ok why is this even note worthy? Shortly before my 6:45pm break I got the chills. Then I got the hot flashes and I began sweating. I kind of suspected this had to do with Diabetes. After a bit of checking when I got home I found out that I was having hot and cold flashes. One of each. Its common knowledge that hot flashes occur mostly in women. It seems men can get them to when there is a substantial drop in testosterone levels. That's what I believed happened to me last night.

The town of Hinton (just West of Edmonton) could become the first geo thermal community in Canada. What they are aiming at doing is taping into abandon oil wells for thermal energy 5 kilometers below ground. This energy is renewable as well as clean. Geo thermal is nothing new. Countries in Europe have been using it for a long time. Boise Idaho fore example, uses geo thermal water to melt snow off the streets. Alberta has thousands of end of life oil wells. If we can work this out how to get the hot water out of the ground that's mixed in with oil and heavy metals, it could be a real boon here. Hinton hopes it could have some buildings go geo thermal in 2019. There are complications like legal and regulatory issues involved. By 2030 the province could generate a few hundred megawatts (MW) of power in a year to help replace the 6.3 gigawatts (GW) of power currently being generated by coal from Keephills 1, 2, and 3. It's going to need a lot more then a few hundred MW to replace Keephills. About 55% of this Province's energy comes from coal. Now that the NDP are phasing out coal, the NDP has said that they need to replace coal by 2030. That's only 13 years away and the 3 Keephill plants are only 3 out of 18 the Province has. Earlier this last Spring the Province has said they hope to add 5,000 MW by 2030. Geo thermal looks like it could be Alberta's end game energy wise.

After lunch/dinner I'm going to get a iTunes card so I can get Beatmaker 3. Now that I think I can get specific amounts on iTunes card at the till, makes me happy about that. However if the till says, otherwise, so much for that idea. Anyway, that's all for now.

We're getting a bit of an

Indian summer here, up until about Monday. After that we're in for a single digit "cold spell" of sorts, followed by a mild recovery to double digits. We're not getting 25's or anything but 12's and 13's are ok by me. I'll take 'em.

I was never a reader/voyeur of Playboy magazine. When Hugh Hefner passed away yesterday, it was met with a kind of meh moment for me. Hefner/Playboy never really did anything for me as I was more into Penthouse because it ahem, revealed more. Not that I ever bought a Playboy/Penthouse magazine. Oh don't get me wrong, before the Internet, I bought more then a few porn mags in my day. I still have a few of them around here, somewhere. Penthouse was "more hardcore" then Playboy. Even up until maybe 2012 I recall when I was working for Xentel in the Baker centre, the barber shop on the main floor had these mags scattered around the coffee table. While waiting for an empty chair, I'd sift through an issue of Playboy and Penthouse every now and then. Every customer would go straight for the centerfold. So when I heard of Hefner's death, I really had no sense of nostalgia or anything, just meh. I get the same reaction to  this Kim Kardashian and Caitlyn Jenner thingy, meh.

I got my 5 hour shift for tonight but then I'm off Saturday and there's the Bombers/Eskimo game. I hope nobody takes a knee here. I don't like politics getting in the way of sports but mercifully TSN doesn't show that stuff and maybe the Oilers are in there someplace. Sunday is lodge practice and Star Trek Discovery. Monday, work/Wrestling, Tuesday is work, Wednesday, Work, Thursday night Lodge, Friday night work etc. So, yes. I have some stuff going in.

Work has been keeping me busy

for the most part over these last few days. I still need to fix up this Blogger widget code for the subscribe button. I hope to get somewhere on that over the weekend. I know it looks sloppy and its only temporary. I think I know what I need to do. For one the outside left and right sidebars need to be adjusted. That's easy to do, and I need a css editor. There's no clowning around and I'm not going to wait 27 years to get this done. (there are lots of free ones online) I'll try and figure it out soon enough.

I haven't been following the NHL preseason that much. The Edmonton Oilers are the hottest team of the preseason. Kailer Yamamoto is killing it in the preseason. In 4 games he has 5 goals! Sunday night was an off night but I'm sure they'll pick it up tonight. Oilers management is playing McDavid sparingly. We're on the road, so it should be a good game tonight. Anyway that's all for now.

The worst part of the shift last night was

from about 8pm to time sheet. I was calling appointments. Most were no answers or voice mail. We don't leave messages. I think I had a pretty decent evening. At the light we saw our bus approaching on the other side of the crosswalk as the light was changing in our favour. One of the guys made face contact with the driver as my co worker ran for the bus to hold it for us 2 seniors in tow. otherwise I would have been half an hour latter getting home. That worked out good.

The more this Nafta reboot develops the more I don't care about it. Now Mike Pence "blasts" Canada over our health care, calling it failings. If this was designed to annoy me and my fellow Canadians then it has succeeded. Now I'm no '00 Disney kid but, I kind of agree with Justin Trudeau that maybe we should be thinking Canada first. I don't know what these "failings" are or the details are but they can't be good. I'm at the point that Canada should pull out of Nafta. By pulling out of Nafta won't stop trade from happening between the US and Canada. What we should be doing is focus more on the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP). There are some winners and loser in this for Canada but at least it protects our sovereignty and our natural resources. At the same time I feel we should also take another look at the Keystone pipeline and put it and Alberta oil exports on hold.

My You Tube is really slowing me down since I signed up for Tube buddy. I'm going to cancel it as soon as I can. It's getting in the way of my you tube enjoyment. These guys have got to go. Anyway, that's all for now.

Later this morning I've got to

re book a Doctors appointment I made Friday for a prostrate issue. I need to make another appointment but I'll do it when my Doctor returns from a conference he's in. No thanks to Trudeau and his tax reforms.

Yesterday afternoon, I enjoyed WWE's "No Mercy." Anne ordered us our favorite Maximus pizza from just up the street. We usually have it during at least one pay per view and its not like the pizza will guess my weight and height. I already know that thanks. The only match I didn't like was the Fin Balor match. The tag team match was awesome. Poor Cesaro getting his front teeth knocked out in a match with Dean Ambrose. All in all, I'd rate "No Mercy" 4.5-5 stars. It was lots of fun. After the news and dinner "Start Trek Discovery." I don't know where I got the idea that the pilot was going to be a 2 hour film. I can watch tv in small doses, like a hockey/football game or a 1 hour show, that type of thing. Four and a half hours of tv is a bit too much. I'm going to be Star Trek Discovery next weekend.

I'm in for my 5 hour shift today from 4-9. Hopefully we're done on Thursday night and I can have a 3 day weekend. I know I've had enough of a time off. oh, I'm trying to work on a better subscribe button. It's not quite there yet. Anyway, that's all for now.

Sunday, September 24, 2017

My wrestling kick

off show should be about underway or will shortly. When Anne comes back, we're ordering pizza with that.

It was ok heading out yesterday for my morning shift. I had a really good start to the morning. By my 2:30 lunch break my I felt my sugars dropping. The getting up early like that was getting to me. Time to go out and get a real bottle of Coke. I needed the air. I bought 2 more blackjack tickets but came up empty. The large bottle of Coke was a god send. It helped me get through my shift. I missed my just after 6pm bus and I missed my train at Corona moved as slow as a giant turtle  on  a Spanish beach getting out of the LRT tunnel. Because of my slow train I didn't get in until 7:15, yikes.

What? The end of the world as we know it (again) prophesy hadn't happened? I suspended my whole life on Planet X colliding with earth over night! Not really. Now if astronomers new something armature and pro, we would have known about this weeks ago. If I believed in every conspiracy out there, I'd have used more Mason jars. Hey wait, I am a Mason. So I guess its ok.

Anyway, it looks like I got a full week of work ahead of me. I'm basically working for the iPad pro. Anyway that's all for now.

Saturday, September 23, 2017

My shift last night was

good. The project easy. Our last day of calling is September 30. We usually finish a project (in most cases) before that. At first I didn't know if I was going to go in for today but Like my friend James said "go get the money."

So Rocket man wants to detonate a hydrogen bomb over the pacific ocean. At first I thought rocket man was whacked but if he proceeds with something like this, that only confirms it. I'm not sure what the environmental impact of this would be, but I'm sure its not good. These 2 "hot heads" need to calm down take a deep breath. Someone has to take out this guy. Doesn't he get the message? This whole mess makes me just want to shut the world off and play Leggo or Minecraft on my new 3DS.

Last night the Oilers were in Vancouver and again even without McDavid in the line up. Oilers new guy Kailer Yamamoto is lightening it up scoring twice last night. I think that's his 4th goal of the preseason. There's an Oilers game on tonight, again at Rogers Place Arena. That's on at 7pm, in which case, I'll just be getting back. Anyway, that's all for now.

Friday, September 22, 2017

My shift last night

was cancelled. I don't know what the problem was but so far I have the green light for tonight. It looks like its a short project as there is no schedule planned for the upcoming week. If there is work for tomorrow, I'll go in. They did a test Wednesday but my shift was cancelled based on that test. I could get a cancellation at any time between now and 2:45pm, when I leave out of here. I could get 3 hours minimum or the full 5 hours tonight from 4-9, I won't know until tonight. It sounds like a short project though. I could get a shift for tomorrow but I'm not holding my breath. At least I'm not getting paid in black caviar. Whatever that means.

This weekend other then work tonight/tomorrow (allegedly) I think there is a Oilers training camp game on TV. The other day LA Kings/Vancouver Canucks played a historic NHL hockey game in Beijing. Sunday is WWE's pay per view "No Mercy." Can't wait for that. Then if that's not enough, our pvr's are going to be set to record Start Trek "Discovery." After 12 weeks off, the most important part of the weekend for me is working, tonight and all of Saturday. One of our lodge brethren is up for a Master Mason degree at a emergent meeting, and I'm missing that tonight. I'm also missing Lodge practice Sunday. I could always record Start Trek for latter, which is what we're going to do anyway, but "No Mercy" is a Live event and with that comes Maximus pizza. My main event "money" is on incumbent Broc Lesnar to win.

I have this nice hutch on my desk. Its from another desk set up from a few years ago. At the moment my 23" computer monitor is on my desk, taking up a lot of room.

I'd like to remove the connections from the monitor and stand and get a upright stand that just covers the bottom and not the monitor speakers or controls on the right side of said monitor. At glance it looks like the monitor would fit in that space. After a tape measure, its about half an inch short width and an inch short (without its initial stand) in height. The work around is to right angle and tilt the monitor forward by an inch. I can always replace the monitor in its original position if it doesn't work. I'd hate to lose the clock and the shelf for my drinks though. I got that nice mirror I can see Anne behind me. The main reason for the monitor there in that spot is mainly to alleviate desk space and because when I get the new laptop next year, I'm getting a laptop docking station. The nice thing about these is I can use the laptop without having to open the lid of the laptop. I'm looking at several here in town with a quad core i5/i7 (doesn't matter) at least 2.5Ghz 8 ram. I can always remove the stock 1Tb hard drive. My wife would flip if she knew I had a second laptop to replace my 2009 laptop. I'm looking at a upright laptop docking station and that's going to go right in the small cubby hole are right of the monitor. Those shelves are removable and adjustable. In a laptop stand, behind the monitor is where the laptop is going to go. Out of sight out of mind. And there will be enough space for the Xbox One X as well (in the New Year) I'm getting these baskets from our local Walmart and attach them to the underside of this desk. That's where I'm going to house all of the cabling, power bricks that sort of thing. The Xbox, doesn't come with a power brick. Anyway, this post has been a tad too long and I need to get ready for my shift this evening. Anyway, that's all for now.

This morning closing in on

around 11am I got a missed call from the office, then another call (which I caught) from the office. I'm back to work for Thursday and at least Friday for Friday 4-9. Nothing is planned for next week but if we have some hours Saturday, I just might go in. I've been off for ~ 12 weeks now. At the end of the month Anne and I are splitting my hours. I get half the bill gets the other half, no matter the amount. So yes, I could use the hours.

My heart goes out to the Mexican people affected by the earthquake Tuesday. The death count is above 220. Mexico has had over a dozen earthquakes this year. Most of them have been small compared to Tuesdays. First we have hurricane Harvey, then Irma and Maria and others are out there closing in fast and now this. All we now is a asteroid to hit us, yeesh.

My Apple headphones aren't the greatest but they've held up longer then the Marley's and others that I've had over the years. I'm considering a pair of bluetooth headphones. I refuse to shop anywhere online. I support local business only. I don't mind paying $120-180 for a good rated pair of bluetooth headphones. I'm considering a pair of these before anything else. There are some local retailers that have some nice affordable blue tooth headphones that are rated pretty high. I'm tired of headphone cords that bunch up like this:

I'm enjoying my Wednesday night off. Its not very warm out there on a overcast rainy night at +6C. We're not getting much rain here in Clareview across the street from Bo didlies. Its supposed to warm up to about +11 this week. Anyway, that's all for now.

A few times a month on a Sunday

my wife likes to visit this discount truck, over there on 50th street. I've never seen it but she says its like one of those service lunch trucks that visit industrial parks. She gets some discount things there to help supplement our food budget. So on her way back she picked us up each a McDonalds McCafe` coffee for our late brunch. I've been reheating what I have left here since 5pm.

When Apple released their iPhone X (ten) I was hoping for a iPod Touch 7. Never say never but I'm not expecting one to come soon. I usually skip versions, which is why when I bought the iPod Touch 3, I skipped over 4 and got 5. We didn't go that way with the iPad 2 because the money wasn't there. I'll be at Northgate Tuesday to get some insulin and I'll have a bit of time to check out Rogers iPad plans across from my pcn. When I had my iPad data plan back in 2012 it was on a flex plan since we already owned our iPad 2. At $5/month on a 2 year term, that'd be a pretty good deal. I'm not using the iPad for data, other then at home. I'm sure there's a catch to a Rogers iPad flex plan. If they insist that the iPad has to be with a $80/month plan no way. At least I'll be at Northgate anyway so it wont hurt to check out the details.

After dinner we watched the film "Doctor Strange" Marvel Studios, on Net Flex. Anne couldn't get into it but this was one of the 1st comic books I ever read as a kid. On a scaled from 1-5, I'd rate this film a 4. It had some pretty good things in it, and for some reason reminded me of my OTO Aleister Crowley days in the early 1980's. This Doctor Strange had elements of urban fantasy. I didn't like the astral projection stuff, as it felt it was dumbing down the character. Other then that, I enjoyed the film and looking forward to part 2. Anyway, that's all for now.

I'm giving this blog a lot of love

lately because of the time off I've had. Other wise, I'd be blogging maybe 2-3 times/week. When I get to work 3 times a week, I'll blog more frequently. It's not for lack of content, its just I go through various phases of busy and lax times. This is a lax time, so I'm blogging more. Well, you get it.

I don't usually talk to much about credit. Its too personal. Most of you reading this probably know about the recent breech of Equifax this week. I've never used the service, I just know my credit karma score is well above 650. I'm sure that's the next target for hackers. The Canadian Auto Association has said ~ 10,000 of its clients have had their data compromised, and ~143 million people in the US have had their accounts compromised. That's almost half the population of the US. Cyber security is a huge issue. Maybe everything should be kept offline for things like that.

Last March I got Novation Circuit on an account at my music store, to not only build credit but also to shore up my relationship with the store so when I want more gear. I'm finding Circuit to be rather limited and the devices initial luster is wearing off. Too bring new life into Circuit, I'm going to be pairing it with other gear. Right now I'm waiting for Electron's new Mk2 devices to come out. I'd like to get the Octatrack, which could be my next account. As for Circuit, I'm hoping they will release another firmware update before the end of the year. Some firmware updates I'd like to see is tempo change per patterns, more sample time, a looper for each engine, muting individual patterns etc.

This afternoon the Eskimo's are in Toronto. Its a 2pm game. This is where our 4 game losing streak comes to an end. If we lose today, this will be the worst Eskimo team in franchise history and after we started off with a 7-0 season. To be fare we've had more injuries then any other team in the CFL. Some people are attributing the injuries to the artificial turf. We used to have grass even during practice. Anyway, that's all for now.

Friday, September 15, 2017

Better late then never but it looks like I could

be back to work next week. I'm not going to do any Saturday shifts and no more past 9:00pm. Actually I'd really like to come in and work from 4-8 5 days/week to be honest. It gives me 40 hours on a pay cheque.

Next weekend on "Space" is the first episode of the new Star Trek Discovery series. Has it really been 12 years since the last TV Trek? Discovery will be a streaming service but we already have "Space" TV so we get to watch it anyway without a 3rd party subscription or set up. The new show will begin with a 2 hour trailer and new episodes will rollout every Sunday. Chapter 1 and then Chapter 2. My anticipation level for Discovery is building daily. I'm not sure if Discovery will be an hour or half an hour show. At about $8 million an episode I doubt Discovery will be half an hour. If this streaming service is successful and done right, is Star Wars not far behind? And who's to say Star Wars and Star trek streaming will end just there? Game of thrones? America's got talent, streaming live! Monday night Raw, streaming. Streaming Trailer park boys? Umm, no thanks.

In light of the recent Opioid crisis in BC and elsewhere there is a lot of concern over Justin Trudeau's push to legalize marijuana next summer. Many jurisdictions are still trying to figure out the legal ramifications. Some questions remain: What should the legal age be? Eighteen or 21? I'm not really sure. Who should collect taxes? Personally I feel this should be a Provincial thing but taxes from the sale of pot will also help the Province as well. What about pot under the influence? It should be treated like drinking and driving. My opinion is that legalizing pot is little more then a tax grab adding about $5B/year to Government coffers. At the same time by legalizing pot will take a lot of stress off the legal system. A 2 year pot charge costs the justice system ~$115,000/year in jail expenses. Its going to be interesting how this will turn out between now and July 1st.

A lot of cities in North America are making bids to have Amazon have their HQ in cities in both the US and Canada.
We're making our bid here in Edmonton. Why Edmonton? First of all we've given tax breaks before. Dell computers. Then we have the infrastructure. We're building high rises. Cranes are up all over town. We're close to the oil patch, we have Connor McDavid as an Edmonton Oiler, we host big concerts here. Not even Calgary can boast that. We're centrally located. Its a great place to live. Did I mention we have Connor McDavid? Anyway, I got to go. That's all for now.

I'll know more

Friday on what's going on with the job. The boss anticipates we'll be busy next week, which works for me.

Our local weather has been going through some "extreme changes" lately. Monday we were sitting at +29. Then Tuesday and today we're sitting at +9. It gets dark at 8:30pm around here. I like it between 5-8pm this time of year. Normally we're about +14-+16, which is normal. At least we're not getting extreme weather like Florida. Texas and Florida get the hurricanes and we get forest fires like in the Waterton lakes area.

City council otherwise known as the City of Edmonton (coe) has decided to sever its ties with Northlands Coliseum. Looks like its fate could be met with the wrecking ball unless a 3rd party comes in with a proposal. Coe is going to assume operations of Hall D and the race track until another racing facility is built and merge Hall D with the Shaw conference centre.

Other then the call Friday, I've got nothing going on for the weekend. I almost forgot the Esks/Argo's game. Anyway, that's all for now.

Monday, September 11, 2017

Later this afternoon we're supposed to have

our ISP tech guy come into the suite to replace our modem. I'm trying to get a tech support answer without using the phone. I'm trying to get some info on Telus pure fiber. I need to ask if their pure fiber plan is over and above my current plan and how does the installation work? Most importantly is this the same modem we're getting today the same one that will connect to Telus pure fiber? I kind of doubt it. We'll have to wait and see. Their best fiber plan is $50/month. I don't see where we have to pay twice.

The aftermath of hurricane Harvey and Irma have been making front page news a lot this weekend. The weather has at least given us a break from Donald Trump, and his shenanigans. My wife tuned out the weather news and watched the Canadian country music awards instead. I've been doing research on Eurorack modular stuff. A lodge brother said he would be happy to lend his carpentry skills, so I'm going to see if he can build me a 2 rack modular 35" skiff. I'd rather play with modular synths, and Nintendo gaming any day then watching Trump, Putin, or Kim Jong-un what's his face. And no I'm not a Game of thrones, or a master chef guy watcher. Although ask me to surrender my wrestling, Oilers, Eskimo football, and You Tube, them is fighting words. I'd rather watch "Andy Griffith, Hogan's Heroes, Star Trek and Star Wars thanks then watching political theatre and weather. Yeash, where did all that come from? Ahem.

This week we have the cable guy coming in for today. I've got to call in Wednesday to see if the boss has any work form me this week or next. I've got to make my payment to my music store for Circuit. Saturday I'm off to Ft. Edmonton Park to do some lodge stuff paying a visit to another lodge. I'm looking forward to that. I'll be missing the Esks/Argo's game but this has more significance for me. Anyway, that's all for now.

Friday, September 8, 2017

It feels good to have almost everything out of the

way. Last nights public speaking was almost done letter perfect, except I accidently cut the guy off hearing a pause. I felt bad about that part but for the most part, it was letter perfect. My personal business is done.

I don't know why everyone is worried about North Korea and their nuclear ambitions. Incoming nukes can be shot down by current missile defence systems during the missile's first stage. This week South Korea set up these missile defence systems close to the South Korean side of the dmz.

.....and these stomach cramps have been hindering my desire to eat. This is compromising my blood sugars. This morning before bed I went really low.

Tomorrow is the Calgary Stampeders/Esks rubber match. We've had 3 straight losses in a row. We're getting some key receivers back so hopefully that will change our fortunes. I need to call the boss Wednesday to see when work begins. Anyway, that's all for now.

Wednesday, September 6, 2017

That was a really long weekend

which means summer is almost over. For the kids they go back to school. I'm hoping I get some good news about going back myself. To work that is, We've got a huge bill to pay down, and I want to get the Xbox One X hopefully by Black Friday. Even though I'm on pension, I'm not yet retired.

Lets see, over the weekend we watched the 2011 The Green Hornet. It started out slow and kind of juvenile in parts before the middle but then it built up and non stop action from there. I don't know why its taken producers five years later to work on a sequel. We also watched Monday night Raw, which was ok. Last night we watched Smackdown Live which is a lot better show in my opinion. Anne and I try to watch a movie we haven't seen every weekend. We get out the popcorn or other snacks. I haven't seen the recent man from UNCLE movie. Anne says she's seen it but I'd like to. I'm thinking about watching Doctor Strange instead as we're a fan of Marvel Studio movies. I remember reading Strange Tales as a teenager before my back operation even. I'm looking forward to Star Trek Discovery coming out on the 24th and the upcoming Star Wars "The Last Jedi" coming out in December.

This month the NHL goes back to work, as training camp begins soon. Most of the pieces from last year are in place. I think it was a mistake to let Jordan Eberle go. This guy scores 20+ goals a season. Sure his contract was to inflated but still he's a good player. Looks like Jerome Igninla is still up for grabs. We still have some positions open that Iggy could fill, but there are other players in the system that could be a good asset if they make camp. As for football, the Esks blew out another Labour Day Classic, 18-39! I'm not too impressed with John Chick. Mike Reilly's timing was off. The Eskimo's are the most penalized team in the cfl.

Up this week, I'm open for today. Tomorrow I've got some public speaking to do. I know my material so I think I'll be ok. Also Thursday I've got to call the boss to see what's happening for work. Friday is the Saturday is the Stamps/Esks rubber match. I'll be buckled in for that one. Anyway, that's all for now.

Sunday, September 3, 2017

It feels good having 3 nights off to myself.

doing nothing. Well, not entirely nothing. I'm working on my blog getting it ready for when I can do some super chat in my live streams. I'm going to do some live streaming this month. I need 1,000 subscribers to go super chat. I've got 2o so far I want to do this the right way without going the sub 4 sub or Reddit route.

By now the story about the Nurse in Utah that was doing her job and got roughed up and arrested for obeying the Law by a cop has gone viral. And so what does the cop get? Administrative leave with pay when most
likely the court of public opinion should have him lose his job for breaking the Law. This is hypocrisy. If most of us did something like that, we'd be fired on the spot. But it's nice to know that some Police are above the Law. Now there's a 2nd cop on paid leave over that incident. Unbelievable. There's a word for that isn't there? Cor, cor something.

I'm getting ready for the labour day cfl classic Monday. We got Adarius Bowman back off of the injured list. With him back and after losing 2 games back to back, we need a win Monday at aging McMahon Stadium. If we can win the Monday there and the Friday rebound match, that would be a huge confidence 's boost going into the 2nd half.

On tap for this week; Sunday night lodge stuff, Monday: wrestling/football, Tuesday, call pcn and other phone calls, Wednesday open, Thursday, call about work lodge, Friday cfl, Saturday open. Beyond that, not much going on. Anyway, that's all for now.

Not a lot going on as we're into the dog days of

summer. There's a good chance I'll be back at work after next weekend, if all goes well. I'm getting a bit bored. I'm reading, answering email, you tube, lodge memory work, writing in my diary, that kind of thing. I really should get another hobby of some kind but everything is so expensive. I'm thinking about getting into gaming with a desktop gaming console.

Speaking about being a senior, ETS can challenge me for my age, for proof of ticket purchase now all they want now. Instead of my wife buying bus tickets because her jobs hours are inconsistent, we can afford her a monthly bus pass. Also, I was checking out the North End seniors activity centre. Its at Northgate Mall. They have a ton of programs but they cost money. I mean $13 a night just to play cribbage once/week? For the first year I'll be working Monday-Friday, Saturday's off but after that it'll be 3 days a week but with lodge and all my shows, Oiler games and lodge, I've got enough going on as it is. I could see participating if I was single and all. So far since having all this time off, I've managed to avoid the dreaded "Honey Do" list.

Currently underway is Fan Expo in Toronto. They have this every labour day. We have our convention in October. Currently, they have a ton of guests way too many to mention. A four day pass starts at only $100, so its a pretty good deal. I don't watch a lot of television, but I'm thinking there's a lot of shows on Space, that appeal to me: Killjoys, Dark matter, the new Star trek "Discovery" series September 24th, a new Marvel TV series, and of course, my on going shows like wrestling, Oilers, news etc. Anyway, that's all for now.
