Enjoying a cup of sleepy time tea

reflecting on the day that was Thursday, September 19th yesterday.

I woke up about noon yesterday and dragged myself into work about 3:45pm. It was a good and productive 5 hour shift. Probably the most productive I've had all week. 

In i09 they are asking the question "Which Science Fiction or Fantasy Character Deserves a Spinoff?" This is across all genres. There are so many choices. I'm thinking The Dalek's from Doctor Who. The post is here:

Tonight on Coast the topic is: Twin Telepathy/ UFO Phenomenon. Should be a good show this morning.

On local sports TV, Oiler's management announced that Ryan Nugent Hopkins, or "RNH", who hasn't played a full year and has only 4 goals to his credit and is on the injured reserve list until November signed for a $6M a year salary. WTF? I thought Shawn Horcoff's deal was bad but this makes my head spin. I'd say wait a year and see how well this kid does. Hall and Eberle, $6M sure but they more or less have "proved" they're worth it. Ok speculation on my part but watch, RNH will reactivate his shoulder injury the first month and be out for the rest of the year. This sounds like another Khabibulin deal to me. RNH is not worth this kind of money. No way. MacT, what are you smoking?

I'm still reading "Space Wolves", Warhammer 40K and I'm at the half way mark of this book, at last. I began reading it in January no less. At the rate I'm going I might not get to finish it until the end of the year. Anyway, that's about all for now.
