morning. Our stuff gets unloaded last and the eco station (dump) gets moved out first. That way when the movers return with our stuff they can give us the invoice. We're hauling our computers over on our own. The movers get paid cash. The good news is, the heavy lifting is over for me. It's the unpacking and setting up computers routing ethernet and coax cables, PVR boxes, and terminals. Hopefully, if our isp doesn't bail on us like last time, we should be set up Monday night (fingers crossed)
Canadians are going to the polls, September 20th. At this point, if an election were called today both leading candidates would come out with a minority. The NDP is not even in the running, but a lot can happen in 20 days for them. I think what's going to burn the incumbent is his handling of getting out the 2100 Afghan interpreters and other assets Canada has. Voters might realize that the Taliban moved so fast. The above could burn JT.
The last I heard 12 possibly 14 staff and players of the Edmonton football club (Elks) have been tested for Covid and are in self-isolation. Our covid case numbers have gone way up since the Alberta Government removed all Covid restrictions. July 27th here in Edmonton we had 82 cases in hospital and 21 in the ICU. Now a month later thanks to the unvaccinated and the Delta variant, we're sitting at 336-74. Some of those cases had just one shot. So now some Provinces are working on a vaccine passport. I'm in the process of getting one. The passports are to show local businesses that I have been fully vaccinated. Enter it into their system for next time, good to go. Drive-through is still ok. Meanwhile, the Elks had to forfeit Thursdays Argo's game. That means Toronto gets a free win. Anyway, the next post (hopefully) will be in our new place.
