at
the bank trying to set up her Scotia account. The good news is that on
the rare times we go to the movies (maybe twice/year) for every $20
spent at the movies we get 1000 Scene points. Plus we're using my Scene
card to pay our rent and that's 175 Scene points/month or 2,100 scene
points from our rent. Our transit passes we get another 204 plus we're
using my Scene debit card to get our groceries etc. It costs 1,000
points for a movie and 1,000 points for popcorn/pop, so it's worth it
but its a bit of work to get everything set up for it.
Sigh,
the Katz group that owns the Edmonton Oiler's are playing a
blackmailing game trying to put pressure on City council to come to
terms with his demands so he's out there looking at other markets. Katz
was in Seattle today and tomorrow in Houston. In my books this guys
credibility is weakening every time he makes the news. The City of Edmonton said October 17th is the "drop dead" deadline. Meaning come to council explain your position. Use it or lose it." Meanwhile the
fans are the ones hurting here. Even with an "inferior product" since
the the end of Pocklington era, Rexall place has sold out for 6+ seasons
in a row. Anyway, that's about all for now.
When I first arrived here in Edmonton August 16th 1978 the Edmonton Oiler's hadn't yet joined the NHL. They hadn;t joined until the following year.
I don't suspect that the NHL would even entertain the team to leave. Anyway that's about all for now.
