Other then the football

game kick-off at 2pm and "Money in the bank," Sunday that's my entertainment for the weekend. No TV, again. My boss yesterday said its only blacked out for training camp games. Oh and of course "Scream of Eagles." I should be at the half way mark in the book for another Goodreads update. I'll have this read before the end of the month.

Sometime today or this weekend, I want to remove Komplete 8, a heavy Gb program off my laptop. That's 120Gb program, almost half of my hard drive space. I've got a lot of wav samples I don't need as well, so they're coming off. All I need is my keyboard controller and my sound card software. I'll keep Audacity and a few light programs. If I can remove about half of my laptop hard drive space with unused programs, it'll really speed up my hard drive. Maschine mk2 came with all that I need for that type of music production. Native instruments is still supporting Mk2, with the new update. Taking out half my laptop hard drive space should speed up my video editing as well. I'll go to work on that after game time.

Other then looking for work next week, the main event for me is to pick up my cheque on Friday. Once I get the other job confirmed in early August and I'm invited back, that's 5 months of work for me. Its only part time but it'll pay the bill. I'll do 5 days at the 8:30pm job and one at the market research job on Saturdays. They're good with that, they've allowed it with others the same way. Anyway, that's all for now.

For the most part since about

4:30pm yesterday afternoon, I watch CFL football. First there was the Riders/Winnipeg game and then the Stamps/Esks game. That took me up to about 10:30pm.I've had enough football for this weekend.

The other day i09 had a amusing article called: "10 Historical People Who Were Real-Life Magicians," by Rob Bricken. Some of the people I've read about before like, Roger Bacon,John Dee and Edward Kelley etc. Any narrative about magic would be remiss if it didn't include Aleister Crowley in the mix. My history within the OTO and Thelema from 1980-1992 is well documented. When the article mentioned that practitioners of Thelema allowed them to see the future and travel astrally, well I must have passed out during that conversation, damn!

Skippy in this photo is having a nap because she's going out bug hunting later tonight. She needs to conserve her strength.

I was almost ready to buy the Logitech HD C525 webcam the other day. At $30 seemed like a low cost solution to capture my music video jams. A slight change in plans as I noticed on the Best Buy website they increased the price to $60. I might get it again or something better when I get back to work hopefully before the end of the month. I'm just using Windows movie maker, which is pretty good for audio and video. A few months ago I discovered a open source program called "Blender," which has some pretty good editing features.

On my agenda this week, I'll be doing business with ei and then my bank to set up my Provincial adult health benefits. I'm setting up and or calling on a few part time job prospects this week as well. Yet before that happens I need to get some information about the upcoming project when I go into the office to pick up my small cheque Friday. If the office has no update on the next project, I won't wait on them. I'll be calling some of these prospects Friday or earlier. I'll leave the door open for them of course.

Back in job hunting mode

again. I got 2.5 years of this crap to go through before I'm on full pension. Then it's just work part time for pocket money. I'm counting the days.

This afternoon I learned I have no work at my downtown job this week and possibly next week as well, not good. Tomorrow I'm heading out early before Anne goes to work and get a much needed haircut and then over to Service Canada (sc) and ask how do I file for unemployment. I haven't been in this position since before I got married in almost 15 years. Then I've got to get to Northgate to my pcn at and drop off the rejection letter they sent me, and my appeal letter in response to not getting Alberta adult health benefits. My pcn worker today said she's suggested this path for others and for my situation, she supported them and they got their benefits based on that. As for unemployment I'm sure the process doesn't end with one visit to sc. I also need to look into getting a sin card for my sin number as well, so I can do all of that at Canada Place/sc tomorrow. Anne took my resume into where she works and that could lead to something, maybe. If I could work 2-3 days a week where she works and on unemployment (as others have, Anne tells me) where Anne works, I could live like that for 6 months. It depends on whether or being on unemployment makes sense for me.

As for tonight I'm working on my track taking it easy before my run-a-round tomorrow. If I don't get anything at my downtown job by the end of next week, I'm moving on. Anyway, that's about all for now.
