Despite the blowing snow

blizzard during my morning commute yesterday morning, I got to work on time. Actually despite just getting over my cold, all that talking (more so then usual) was playing havoc on my voice. The blizzard let up about my noon break. My 2 pm half hour was way too fast and even the Sun came out there for a bit. My 4pm break caused me to almost croak my voice was so dry. Even water didn't help or cough drops. Hot coffee helped a bit. I was relieved when super called for Time sheet. My commute home companion/co worker and I waited just as the blizzard showed up again. That's 2 weeks in a row we've had sown on a Saturday. I got home just before 7pm.

I've bee really trying to grasp this feud between Trump and Arnold Schwarzenegger but my head spins just thinking

about it. Two Republicans goin gat it. And I don't even watch Celebrity Apprentice. All this stuff makes my head hurt.

At the moment I'm enjoying a cold Sleeman's (helps me sleep)

sleep) beer. That's me in the white shades behind Buddha.

Anyway, Coast this morning is lame. Tonight is a better show. Latter this afternoon, Anne is making our Sunday brunch and we're going to watch WWE Fast lane. That and the Oilers won last night. Life is good. Anyway, that's all for now.

Here I am shortly before 9am looking at my bedside

clock. Huh, its 9am. Shit, I'm going to miss my 9am bus to work and I didn't have supers phone # to call in. I'll miss my shower, I'll fill my empty pop bottle. Friday night I can leave my work file and box of pencils, etc on our stations reserving our spaces if we're in on Saturday, so at least I have my spot reserved. I'm up out of bed feeding the cats, scrambling, wait now, its Monday morning. I'm getting too old for this. I went back to bed.

About 4pm yesterday we got this huge snowstorm. It was howling out there my friends. Long range weather showed -20's never mind the wind chill. Looks like its going to be boots and my open face balaclava mask for me from now on. So this morning I'm up just before noon, fixing my coffee and it's -17 out there now. The thing is we got ourselves a dusting of snow (again) here in the Edmonton area, that's it! The long range is anywhere from -18, to -22, with an average of -20. Still not too bad. Last so called blizzard we got, was just a dusting of snow like this one but we get the change of temperatures instead. Over the last number of recent years, our snow accumulation in the Edmonton area hasn't been very much anyway. Usually we'll get maybe 2 inches of snow that stays packed on the ground and melts in late March. Besides I'm not working outside, so weather doesn't affect me that much. The only hardship winter has on me is waiting for the bus and if I time it right my wait is 5 minutes maybe 10. The only thing I don't like about winter is the freezing rain. I'd take this weather over freezing rain any day.

My wife has her sister here in town on a working visit, so Anne might be leaving with me. She can ride in with me to University station. Her sisters hotel room isn't that far away. As for me, this week, its my South side job until Thursday. Friday and Saturday its my market research job. If I can get the next 2 weekends in at that place and my South side job goes until December 22nd, then we should be ok from there for January. About the only exciting thing for me this week, is getting my iTunes card for iM1 for Gadget and one of the 3 "Space marine battles" books I have waiting for me at Audrey's. Anyway, that's all for now.

At Clareview station last night about

9:15pm it was like a Spring like evening. As soon as I got off the bus just outside of Shoppers here, boom! An instant blizzard. Talk about a shock to the system. Anne suggested I call off the appointment and not go in. I did that before bed after I finished reading my book and left a message saying something that I'll re-book before Family day. So this morning I get up and I look out  my window and:

At the moment its -12 out there and we got Rusty inside because it was pretty cold for him over night. We got him here for a couple of days.

So, its my last night at the 2nd job. Hopefully I'll have work at my main job tomorrow and beyond. My 2nd job has another project, which they send out letters of invitation at the end of this month. Its a smaller project so they'll need less staff to do the calling. If I get one of those letters in the mail, great, I'll go back. Unless there's another opportunity first. Last night a colleague was telling me that he will receive his first Guaranteed Income Security (gsi) cheque next month. Its pro active from the time he applied for it last year. The applicant for this has to be on oas first. That means he'll be getting a lump sum and the gsi will follow. I won't know how much he's getting (as his situation is similar to mine) because when and if I go back, I'll probably never see him again to ask. He told me he likes the job for pocket money. So, we'll see. Anyway, that's all for now.

Talk about a quick turn around in

in developments. Has Eskimo GM found a replacement for Chris Jones already? Now the other team is asking for compensation. If Eskimo GM has found his man, (I'm not saying anything to jink this) but why not give the new guy a promotion like the Riders did with Jones: Assistant GM and head Coach. This (in theory) would avoid an compensation issues.

On my way into work Sunday morning the snow was slightly falling. I had a longer then normal wait at Central station street level as we received a major snow blizzard. This lasted a long time. I think the blizzard tapered off about 2pm. It was a significant snowfall but I not enough to bring out the graders. At this hour its still -6. Hardly cold at all.

Today I'm back to my afternoon evenings shifts. I'm 4:15pm-8:30pm at my 2nd job and we're having a staff Christmas party. Tuesday I've got to pick up some insulin at my pcn before work. Its going to be a long day. I've got work up to Wednesday. Not sure whats going on for Thursday and Friday at the other job. I'll know more about this Wednesday. One way or another I'll have a full week until Friday and then I'm off for 16 days. Ah, living the dream. Anyway, that's all for now.
