One thing I'm not going to miss when

I'm on full pension is getting up early to go into work. I'm aiming for a 4 day work week. Anne even agreed with the same thing. After this session with my market research job working Saturday's will be a thing of the past. After this session, that will be it for me drawing ei. Being on pension has its benefits, apparently. But at least I don't need to hide amongst the bushes.

Yesterday I was making my May payment on my Novation Circuit. I had about an hour to waste so I went to the keyboards section right away. I was surprised that they finally have modular Eurorack products in for sale. They had a double rack mount system by Doepher connected to the Arturia Drumbrute. The case is a bit pricey at $800 but once the initial investment is out of the way, the module strips are very affordable. I'm considering a double case possibly for next year and build a Eurorack system as part of my studio set up. At the store I was able to get a bit of a hands on experience with the Moog Mother 32 (m32). Its a cute boutique synth complete with patch bay etc. Even that was going through the Drumbrute. The m32 is priced around $800. I could either put an account on it or a couple of cheques later and its mine. But again next year. I thought about adding the Zoom audio recorder onto my Circuit account but at the minimum down payment my monthly account would have climbed to $48 and I only had enough on me for the payment and not enough for the device. After  a fun bit of time there, I headed a block away to my bus stop and after a wait there was my #3 that took me to 124th/107 Ave.

Today is the last Saturday of the 2017 campaign at my job on Calgary trail. Next Saturday is the Victoria day long weekend. I defiantly won't get paid for the stat pay at from my Southside job but I could get it from my market research job but not expecting it. Anne's got me a fried egg sandwich  and potato paddies to heat up and I'll have that before I feed the cats and head out of here. When I get home about 3:30pm Anne will make me something, I'll ave a nap, watch a bit of hockey and work on a beat or something tonight. Anyway, that's all for now.

About 10am or so each morning I like to get out of bed and feed the cats

and then try and get another hour or two sleep. That wasn't going to happen after I fed the cats this morning. I laid in bed for about an hour and a half. What the heck, I got up and fixed myself a coffee and I noticed a fresh blanket of snow out there. Its a snow day. We haven't had one here in the Capital region in a long time. These Spring snow showers however don't last long and the snow doesn't stay on the ground very long. By Thursday it should be all off the ground. It's back to wearing boots for a few days.

I'm back to my 2nd job today, leaving out of here at 3pm. I don't need to be in until 4pm as we start at 4:15pm. This gives me enough time to set things up, get my file etc. The good news is I'm off at 8:30pm and home by 9:30pm so I can comfortably watch Monday night Raw. Anyway, that's all for now.

I woke up about half an hour ago with tingling feet and I

knew I needed to check my blood sugar. My number was 5. I usually like it to be about 7-8 in the morning. For most people blood sugar levels are held steady at 5.5. So I got up to fix a coffee. I had about 5 hours sleep overnight, and I listened to a bit of Coast 2 Coast before passing out.

Electronic cigarettes have been out for awhile now. I'm a non smoker. At the last market research job I was at, one of my co workers was a vapor (someone that uses e-cigarettes) On local CTV news yesterday, they followed up on a story I thought was just an urban legend: exploding e-cigs. Lithium ion batteries are at the centre of the issue. These things show no signs they are about to explode and explosions can happen when users try to “hack” their own vapourizer using mismatched components, or moding. I copied and pasted this excerpt from a CTV Health section. In January, Lethbridge, Alberta a teen made headlines when his family shared images of the second-degree burns he suffered from an e-cigarette explosion. He was left with a burned tongue, throat, and mouth. If he hadn’t been wearing glasses, he might have suffered eye damage as well. It seems there are no product standards for this industry and that might be the root of the problem.

This could be my last Sunday shift for this project as next Sunday is Easter Sunday. I hope we have a long weekend. I could use one. I'm 10-6pm today and out the door by 9am. Then home for the night. There's an Oiler game on TV at 7:30pm. I'll be just getting in the door. The Av's are in town, then the Oilers are on the road for 3 games then home next Monday. Then they have 4 days off and play Calgary. Their last game at Rexall place April 6th as they entertain the Vancouver Canucks. Anyway, that's all for now.

This is unknown territory for

for the Edmonton Oilers. Last night they won their 4th game in a row. Not only that but they are just 3 points away from the last playoff spot! With the NY Rangers in town tomorrow night, honoring Glen Sather, can the Oilers make it 5 straight wins? Sather's name goes up with Gretzky's, Messiers, Kurri's etc tomorrow night. Of course the other team always comes into our barn on special nights like this to spoil the party and win the game. As for the Oilers winning streak, I hope it keeps going but after Friday the Oilers go on a 4 game road trip. So much for 3 points away from a play off spot.

I'm just waking up with a cup of coffee this afternoon. At 1pm I'll be calling to set up a appointment to get some insulin. I hope I can get a couple of boxes to last me for a couple of months. I'll be doing that before I leave out of here today.

Now for a bit of This n' that: I'll be at the late job today from 4:30-9:30pm. I still get 5 hours in. I'm scheduling Friday off because I've been working steady since last Wednesday. That's Anne's suggestion, not mine. Then I'm in Saturday and Sunday for the full day and Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday at the other place. They have their office Christmas party Monday. I'm considering another part time job from say 10-2pm during the week but I don't want commission. The other 2 jobs would be just to cover my domestic expenses. The 10-22 job would just be for myself. I'd do this only until pension. Anyway, that's all for now.
