Wednesday I left out of here at 3pm

thinking I'm pushing the clock here because I missed that 1st bus to Clareview station. Even after a wait for my bus to Clareview and a wait on the train (I forgot my iTouch player/clock) I had only a vague idea what my time was looking at. A wait for the bus on 129th there and it's 1 stop away but it's a long walk. I got into the office at 3:35pm. I don't really need to leave out of here until about 315pm.

This weekend the plan is Friday morning run over to the tm job and get my cheque and then do my banking, get my book go to the employment agency put my name in for that course in October. I'd like to work Friday night but there's apparently no crew working. So it's home to get ready for Saturday's BBQ our lodge is putting on for its members. It's been an annual tradition the JW does. I'm meeting my pick up ride across the street from  McKernan /Belgravia for 1:30pm. It's going to be a fun afternoon. Sunday the City is shutting the lrt from Clareview to Corona again. Sunday the tm shift starts 2-6. So I've got to take a ETS replacement LRT bus from Clareview to Belvedere and at 6pm take a replacement bus from Belvedere to Rexall and the #8 where I need to go for my 7pm meeting. That's my weekend.

I'm still riding on the Edmonton Oil Kings high of them winning the Memorial cup. There are 60 teams in the Canadian Hockey League who's ultimate goal is to win the Memorial cup. In the WHL there are 17 Canadian teams and 5 American teams. Kamloops Blazers won the Memorial cup 6 times since the WHL was founded in 1966. While I'm not a huge fan of minor hockey it's pretty decent hockey and I've been to a Oil Kings game. The Alberta Junior Hockey League has decent hockey as well and I always like to follow how the Sherwood park Crusaders are doing. Yesterday there was a parade for the Oil Kings and a celebration at Churchill square park. Now if only some of what the oil Kings did last Sunday rubs off on the Oiler's.

This is going to be an interesting BBQ to say the least but it's going to be very pricey. Not for the members because it's free for members Anyway, that's all for now.

At this point you might be asking yourself

why is he blogging at this hour? Is he using a computer at work? It's not lunchtime. What's going on?

I'm back evenings at my tm job 4-9, so I have a few hours to myself before I leave out of here at 3pm this afternoon. Same for tomorrow, I hope. I just wasn't working out during the day. Most of my tm day colleagues have tap lists that they built over the years. The new people don't last because they don't have their own tap lists to sustain any kind of a meaningful line hour. The current tap shooters increase their tap lists on the backs of the new people that get the odd sale but cant cut it past the 3 days the boss gives them. I lasted a lot longer then some of my colleagues from my old job: 3 full days and 2 half days. They got some good campaigns but staff are fighting for source. Tonight I'm calling a national campaign, cold. .

I called my mr boss earlier and and I've got signed up for June 4th, 6th, Saturday. I'm at the tm job Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. Then at the mr Job it's Wednesday, (Thursday is lodge) Friday, Saturday. That depends on the supervisor sending me out the schedule on Friday. I have 1 day off next week and I'm at lodge and we break for the summer, yea!

So, I've got a couple of busy days ahead and with only one day off next week and that's lodge. Even then I need to go into the PCN at Northgate and drop off some papers return home, get ready and head out to lodge.

At the moment its a overcast day out there +11. Anyway, not much else is going on today. That's all for now.

It's going to be s action packed busy weekend

what with the Lodge BBQ Saturday and a meeting Sunday night, plus I need to put a 4 hour shift in there somehow. I'm going to be busy plus the following week I have my PCN appointment to drop off some papers and Lodge. Friday I've got to get down to te employment agency as I hope to sign up for a 6 month course in October. I'm trying to find a successor to take over my position in lodge so I don't have to do that next year. On top of all that Anne and I are struggling here. I'm looking at retiring but that's another 2 and a half years away. Then once that happens, I can work part time and "relax" a bit.

Now for some comic relief:

In a way, I'm almost hoping I got back to evenings as I'm back to staying up and sleeping in late. I need a break.

A lot of exciting things going on in the CFL these days. There's Regina with their new arena, Ottawa is bringing back a team called the Red Blacks. Providing a labour dispute doesn't put the pause button on next Season. It's coming down to revenue sharing and the players want a piece of that. Anyway, a full day ahead. That's all for now.

Sunday afternoons I like to stay at home if

at all possible, muck around on the computer read etc. I even get the wife out of my hair for a bit. She goes off to do her shopping that sort of thing, I love Sundays.

Last night (well I paid for it) Anne bought us a pizza dinner pack. It's not our favorite pizza but we were arguing and fighting earlier and that carried on while we were eating. Ironic that it was from the same place she works at that Anne was complaining that her job cut her down to just 1 shift for next week, "I'm not paying rent etc." It got ugly so then she orders pizza from the job she hates and the pizza we're not thrilled over. I was going to have my beer but that fiasco put a damper on that occasion.

Poor Boots hasn't been feeling well these days. As seen in this photo taken about 10 minutes ago, he's in pain. We think he has a fractured jaw from a cat fight previously. The vet gives him a shot and some ointment for his mouth. He has good days and bad days but I'm afraid we might need to put him down this summer. When his appetite gets the better of him, and he can't eat then we'll have to make a decision.

This week is just a straight work week. I have no appointments, no meetings. Nothing. For now tomorrow, I'm up at 6 for a full day and home for Monday night. Tuesday through Thursday could be the same as Monday depends on how Monday goes, or I'd be in the office 4-9pm. In that case Friday would be my day off. Saturday and next Sunday I'm in for 4 hours. Working that Monday 8:30-4pm gives me the 3 hours I'd miss Friday. It gives me 30 hour/week and enough for a bus pass if I needed a bus pass at these prices every week. I don't know what I'm going to do with my mr job but I've got to call them say something like how I'd like to keep the door open that sort of thing. If the mr has a full time day project then great, I'm on board 3 days at the other place. When they don't have a day project it's at my tm job. The day projects are mostly a Monday-Friday situation. I like that kind of a situation I could do the mr job 9-4pm and my tm job 5-9 for 3 days/week. I'd like to have a situation like that.

This afternoon I'm tinkering around with a Cubase track if my wonky laptop will let me before it overheats and crashes. It suffers from a low cpu outage on the mobo sitting there at 1.7ghz. To run any of the music programs I have on my laptop for any length of time I'd need at least 2ghz. Laptops overheat too easily. There are laptop cooling trays and I hear they do a pretty good job at keeping the laptop in a cooler state while in use. I put together a couple of templates in Cubase to help speed up the workflow. I've got one template that has 24 i/o's buses mono in stereo out. I need another usb cable though to use my audio interface. Music production isn't cheep. That song on Jim Tube "This is Jim saying hello," was all done on my laptop. It's just a sample with no attempt to mix or master. It's all done with vst's but I'm looking at the Roland FA 06 workstation after I get the pc but that wont be until about September or even October, after the pc is paid off.

Looks like we had a bit of rain earlier. It's very nice out there with a light breeze. A perfect summer afternoon. Anyway, that's all for now.

I have 2 days off

and having a good time. I'll be following the results of the Chicago/Kings game though out the evening.

Last night at lodge was interesting. I was there early setting up with our custodian. We had guys showing up I haven't seen in a long time. Only 1 showed up from the questionnaire which isn't a good indication that just 1 night could tell. I had new guys filling positions at 3 stations because people said they couldn't do a Friday night. The good news is I might have most of my officers lined up for next year already. Some of the guys said they'd take positions for next year and that's promising.I'd like to find a successor but I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon.

I'm kind with my old employer. Right now I'm 8:30-4pm and 8:30-noon Fridays. 32.5 hours, with a bit more money then the market research (mr) job would pay. They say it's $$$/hour but they don't cover the vacation pay. My telemarketing job (tm) pays right up to that amount. In other words it's not $$.55/hour it's the full amount rounded up. My first week last week, wasn't very good. The boss is going to try me out one more day then I work residential This could end up being a Saturday/Thursday, 28 hours/week type situation. I'd rather work 32.5 then 28. Before I got hired on I was doing market research (mr) and getting my pay deposited into my account directly. Not the case here in my tm job. My tm job shuts down Friday at noon and even though for now I'm doing business 8:30-4pm next week after Monday I'm 4-9 but that could change. I prefer business (advertising) we got some good projects. The boss has the cheque for us at noon, every Friday then it's off for downtown to cash my cheque and I can go over to Audrey's from there etc. Since I've got about 2 years before I retire, I could actually see myself in this situation until then

Photo: Laugh Of The Day! - Like And Share A Million Times!.

First thing I need to get is a new pc. I'm looking at a couple pc's but they wont be laptops. At least not in my budget. Preferably I'd like a AMD because of higher cpu speeds. The problem I'm having is even though I get paid on a steady basis and its year round I'm not getting the hours I used to get before 2013. I'm considering making payments on the pc. I'll pay half on cash half on plastic and looking at the end of July before I can even get the pc. Anyway, that's all for now.

Thursday, May 22, 2014

Its been a great night last and I even

watched a bit of hockey and I got 2 numbers on my 6/49 draw for Saturday. So in a word Wednesday can be summed up as, meh.

I'm looking forward to having 2 days off this weekend. Our next "long weekend" wont be until July first. July 1st is on a Tuesday but I'm having my Saturday and Sunday off and work at my 2nd job Monday, Wednesday, Thursday. That's way down the road for me to even think that far ahead.

Today I'm going in with a lets just see what happens kind of a thing. I always go in with a positive attitude. But I'm going to call in for my hours later today when I get home this afternoon for my first job. Anyway, that's all for now.

Wednesday, May 21, 2014

Just a quick note of sorts this

morning. Another nice looking day.

I'm feeling another solid day ahead. Though I feel I'm on a week-by-week basis with the 2nd job. I'm considering 3 days here 2 days at the other place. If history is any indication of my market research job project/work wise, the place dries up in the summer. This job is ongoing but it's your only as good as your last day kind of thing. I keep thinking I have 2 more years of this before I'm on full pension. When I'm at that stage then the research job looks pretty good. Next Friday I'm taking a bunch of paper work to Service Canada to ask about a ei claim. If I can get on one I'll use it to find a job with steady hours and less stress.

I've got a very important meeting Friday night. It's another one of those lodge meetings outside the realm of our normal Thursday night. What's good about a Friday night lodge is the sleep in Saturday morning.

My morning commute for now consists of getting that bus out here to Clareview station and off at Belvedere and walk to work from there. Anyway, that's about all for now.

Tuesday, May 20, 2014

Finally we have lea ves out on trees this mid

month of May although its been on the chilly side of the season. Yesterday May 19th 30 years ago the Edmonton Oiler's won their first of 5 Stanley Cups. The basement room I lived in the house I lived in is no longer there just around the corner of 97th Ave and 155th street.

I'm in the office just East of Belvedere station today since I have no work at my original job. I'm there, for now. What bugs me is last week Monday and Tuesday there were  no shifts because they needed only non English speaking interviewers. and they were cleaning up the month end cycle. Ok. Then I get a call asking me to drop everything on Wednesday I said I'd be in on Thursday. This was last week. So I go in on Friday after I do my banking and they tell me because of my flow rate I don't have any shifts this week at all. What's even worse is on my cheque I have one day plus stat. Bottom line, I'm pretty much done with my current job and barely a pulse beat with this new "second job." So depending on what comes out of this job then that I'm on now, I'm unemployed. I made myself available for anything next week. Nice way to treat staff isn't it? I didn't really need the market research job when I was invited to take it. I had a nice severance package from the job I held for 12 years. The severance package was  coming to a close. So I took it. The first year was ok then spotty, now me.

So, if I'm out of a job this week, I'm filing for ei and if I can get enough to meet my bottom line, to keep me going for 6 months. I'll take it and do the market research job once a week. But we'll see how it's going this week and next week. Anyway, that's all for now.

Monday, May 19, 2014

Well at least I have

holiday Monday (today) off.

On this day 30 years ago the Edmonton Oiler's won their 1st Stanley Cup. I was living at 155 96th Ave on that fateful day. I had a little basement room working at t he Army & Navy warehouse. I was 31 years old. The 80's were a blast. Hard to believe that the first time the Oiler's won the cup was May 19th 1984. I watched the whole game, wow..

Just noticed this on a friends Facebook page, so I hit the share button:

I got one more day left of my long weekend. I've got no work for my first job and on the new job I just began last week, I'm dangling by a thread on that one. I think the first steady job I get, I'm going to keep and cast anything that isn't steady adrift.

I've got less then a Gb of space left on this computer  and when I began to get rid of most of the rarely used programs, I accidently got rid of my iTunes. Yeesh, it hasn't been a very good month. At least I got to watch some hockey yesterday.

Speaking of which:

^ Sorry, I couldn't resist.

On tap this week, I go into my new job for possibly my last day tomorrow. Maybe Wednesday but I'm going to ask for evenings and if I get onto that, it's Monday-Saturday but I'm not going to hold my breath for that. Not that I have a say in it. Then I got Thursday and Friday I'm chairing an important meeting in my lodge Friday night

I'm sending out resumes everyday and I'm sure I'll find something, even if it's "Regional ML" or where my buddy Warren works. It's all the way out by Royal Pizza on 118th from 8:30-4pm. I'd need to be up at 6 out the door by 7am to be there by 8:30pm. It's basically doing what I'm doing with my 2nd job: Advertizing, which I'm no good at. I'm still going to send out resumes everyday and see if anything develops. I won't know until I get home if anyone responded to my resume until I get home and check on the call history for the
day. Anyway, that's all for now.

Sunday, May 18, 2014

Its been a long week

and I'm relaxing listening to some Chill-Out ambient music.

Not much going on yesterday. I'm worried about my my 1st job with no hours next week and my 2nd job dangling by a thread. The "good news is" I've got a couple of weeks before the end of the month and options. I've got resumes out everyday. The first job that looks have decent is going to be my only job. I'm tired of my hours dropping. I can't depend on that. Basically I was taking stock of things in my life yesterday. My worst fear is that I wont have an income at the end of the month and the "safety net" isn't there I've got 2 more days off as part of this long weekend. I was hoping I'd be able to work Saturday but so much for that. I'm considering a part time security guard job but I have a few places I want to try first .

I went and removed and downloaded the open source The Gimp 2 for 2.8 a photo shop clone. It's pretty good software that I've been using a lot of as I want to redesign my blog banner.

One nice thing about having a couple of days off this time of year I can watch hockey tonight and Monday night Raw. I'm sure things will work out ok. Anyway, that's about all for now.

Thursday, May 15, 2014

I've got a full day of

it today home tonight and 4 hours tomorrow and off to my other job. Then I got a full day Saturday. I adjusted my availability last night to reflect that. It's not a long weekend but at least it's 2 days off, Sunday/Monday.

NHL wise in the East its Habs/NYR. Game 7 for LA I think is on Friday LA /Anaheim. Chicago is waiting to see who comes out of that series. My guess in the West it's going to be Chicago/LA. It's probably going to come down to NYR/Chicago, with a possibility of a Montreal/Chicago match up. As long as the NHL is flooded with American teams there won't be any Canadian NHL team Stanley Cup winners. Not in my life time anyhow. Anyway, that's about all for now. Update later tonight.

Wednesday, May 14, 2014

For the most part its been a busy couple of days around here

and next week isn't going to get any easier for reasons I'm not able to disclose, for now.

I went and called for a emergency lodge meeting for next Friday for reasons I can't get into here and I got my notice in the mail today.

My PCN/AW councilor is trying to meet the request from my Doctor to obtain medical benefits for me. PCN needed our tax forms, a list of meds we take from our pharmacist and a 3 month bank statement and Government ID. I was going to drop said items off later this week. It looks like now, I wont be able to do this until next week. Possibly Thursday. I was going to get them out this week but with my shifts at work being on and off so much and other things happening.

Ok don't ask me how just yet but there's a good chance that between now and the end of this month I might be able to get my new PC, and a account on a new keyboard work station. The PC this month and the workstation next month. I'm seriously looking at the Roland FA 06 and possibly Cubase 7. I've been researching the FA and I really like what it can do. Stay tuned.

My wife is having her sister and brother in-law coming out to visit from Nova Scotia. It's going to be sometime next week as they are going on a cross country tour of sorts.

I'm in the office today 2-9 and off Thursday and in for Friday and Saturday. I could be off Sunday and Monday but I'm not sure yet. Anyway, that's all for now.

Sunday, May 11, 2014

Teeth have been

rotting away in my mouth for years now but more so since I became diabetic as of about 2004. A major piece fell out while I was eating earlier having dinner. I'd like to be able to get some dentures this summer but yes I might be able to get the funds but what about paying my bills while I'm going through the process. That in itself might take a couple of months. I'd love to be able to go to lodge with new teeth.

Everything is more or less ok with Anne and I, we're back to normal. Sort of. It's no good to be fighting on mothers day. I don't know for certain if I have work today but I think its a typo but Anne is basically saying go to work or don't come home, even if there is no work. Anyway that's all for now.

Trees out there are supposed to have leaves on them by now

and just a few days away from mid month they are not even beginning to bud. This is one of the coldest Springs on record. Even right now its partially overcast with sunny breaks, and +6 but it feels like +3. Here's a photo taken about 2:15pm just now:

I was expected to work today but we got the word from the project manager that they only want non-English speaking surveyors to do any calling this weekend, which is pretty much most of our office. Its the end of the "month cycle." The new cycle should begin on Monday. From what we were told by the supervisor that the whole weekend was out, yet the supervisor said she emailed our schedules for this and it shows Sunday 12-8pm. So now I've got to pack my stuff up for the day and at noon call the office to confirm. My sketchy hours is what's causing this current friction between my wife and I and when she got home from her job last night we had a big fight over it. I might have a weekend off but I'm paying for it.

I've got bad teeth, I'm diabetic and my vision is being plagued by some annoying floaters. I've got early stages of Ostereoarthritest in my left knee. I've got psoriasis on my scalp I inherited from my father, I'm itchy all the time (blood sugars) I'm about 50 pounds over weight. I'm a real mess. If I get to live to 79 like good old Milt, I'd be a contented man and 79 isn't that far off. Seventy-nine is just 17 years away. I'd be happy if I keep what I have now and live to 65 and collect my pension.

I was supposed to go into the Northgate PCN yesterday but since I made the appointment last week, my hours at work have changed. Add to attending Milt's service Thursday and heading into work for my 2pm shift would have been too much. The person I needed to see when I phoned to re-book said I can just leave the materials at the counter. It's not a appointment. If Anne's still talking with me and we can put out this fire, all I need from her is her Government ID and mine to show our address. We can photocopy that. This is not to get assistance, it's to get medical benefits for me so I can get onto Metformin and have my diabetic supplies and my dental work paid for.

Last night I had the chance to pop into Audrey's books just to say I wouldn't be able to pick anything up until next Friday. Not that I didn't have any cash on me but it being in between payday's would leave me short for all of next week.

On tap today, I'm working on my track and maybe watch a hockey game tonight but we'll see how it goes. Anyway that's about all for now.

The funeral service

yesterday was billed a "celebration of life" and not a funeral service with clergy etc. I had some speaking parts and I was really nervous getting up behind the podium. I didn't stick around for the turkey dinner later. There are some pictures on my Facebook/Flikr photo stream.

Speaking about my Flikr account I've got it synced to my iPad so any photo taken from my iPad can automatically be  uploaded to my Flikr account. What I'd like to see is a wifi digital camera that has Flikr/Twitter social media features.

I had a couple of Lodge calls to make earlier and I re-booked my appointment at the PCN and it's now just a walk in drop off materials at the counter type thing. Anne can do this for us on Monday while I'm at work.

Today I'm going to pick up my 1st Eagles book and then head into work for a 6.5 hour shift and a 7.5 hour shift for Saturday. Sunday is just 4 hours. Anyway, that's all for now.

Wednesday, May 7, 2014

I tweeked this blog here

a few days ago. The big changes were mostly cosmetic. The header was changed and so were the pages. Where it read My favorite Topics, is now Topics. Gallery is now Flikr photo stream and I took out "On politics." I'm not big on politics anyway and where it read Conventions, etc is now just SFF Cons. I also put a bit of a disclaimer in my header about grammar and spelling. Hopefully its just cleaned up a little.

The new project is very interesting and it gives me hours from 2-9 and we're braking an extra 15min early, which is nice.

At Audrey's the other day I checked on my western novels book order. I ordered the first 5 in William Johnstone's Eagle series.

Apparently the whole series is available so I got the 1st out of 5 and the others are on their way. Good stuff.

I've been playing with my new gaming device I got Sunday afternoon: My new Nintendo 3ds. Since it came with a game, I have yet to buy a new game. They're about $40 each at Future shop. I want to get the latest Zelda and the Lego games. I can also get them used as well.

I'm off to attend a Masonic funeral tomorrow. I've got some speaking parts in front of strangers in a setting I'm not at all comfortable with. At least the speaking parts can be read, so that's a good thing. There's also a turkey supper latter. I might not attend this part. Anyway, that's all for today.

Sunday Anne and I went

to Rickies for brunch. It's a nice place on the corner of 101st and 102nd Ave in City Centre mall west. Before that though I went to get my Warhammer 40k Space Marines omnibus book at Coles and I got our table while Anne was shopping at Shoppers drug Mart. We had a great brunch. Then into the Dollarama and I bought some headphones for under $5. Anne needed to go to "No Frills" on the South side so we parted was at Churchill station. I caught my train back to Clareview and thought maybe I could get a micro usb cable at Xs Cargo. No such luck but I bought a pair of computer speakers for under $10 bucks. Future shop (Still in Clareview) didn't have the usb cable I wanted but they had the Ntendo DS Xl in silver, and since it came with a game and I've been wanting a hand held game console for awhile, I broke down and bought one. I'll be making payments on it but that's ok. Anyway, that's about all for now.

Sunday, May 4, 2014

Yesterday Calgary got

about 2 inches of snow and it wouldn't surprise me if we don't get our portion overnight when I wake up later this morning.

The plan is for Anne and I to leave out of here for a late brunch for Rickies. It's just a chance to get out of the apartment I've been stuck in since Friday afternoon. Plus I hope to pick up either "The Space Marine" or "Soul drinker" Warhammer 40K omnibus book at Coles on our way back. Well that's the idea.

For those that don't know, today is Star Wars Day, and to think we have an unusual person to thank for the date – former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. She was elected on May 4, 1979 – two years after “Star Wars” was released. An ad was placed in the London Evening News that read, “May The Fourth Be With You, Maggie. Congratulations.” It stuck ever since.

Pretty much for most of the afternoon I've been working on a pop-rap music track all evening and watching bits and pieces of the Kings/Ducks hockey game. Anne came home and we had a Perogie dinner, watching the news and reading some Warhammer 40K.

I'm not looking forward to this funeral Thursday. First of all I don't know where exactly the service is going to be. I know its in Saint Michale's and I have some lines to read in front of strangers in a suit and tie. Hopefully I'll be home by 7pm. At least I've got my hours back more or less and not this cheque but my next one will be good. Anyway, that's all for now.

Firday was sort of a good news bad news kind of a day

I left out of here about 10am and it was sunny, clear and very windy. Not a good day to wear a hat. I got to my 11am ok but I forgot to ask the night before if the job was outside or inside sales. My bad because its outside sales. The interviewer didn't waste my time. I did. So I went to the employment place up the street and got shown how to open a account and how to use the system. I sent out a few resumes. Gone are the days when you'd have to knock on doors. Now all you do is send out a resume over the Internet. That's the job search. I felt ok on the way home but knowing I would need to call the office where I'm currently working only to have them tell me, "no work until the foreseeable future. In other words, "Don't call us.." type thing. After I had a talk with Anne about what was going on the phone rang. Here it comes. Instead I was told what my hours are from 2-9 and Thursday off so I can go to that funeral! In other words a sigh of relief. I got my hours back.

Anne made me a chicken burger and got me a candy bar and a bag of cheese plessers. I watched most of the Rangers/Pens game and had a great night.

Because next Sunday is Mother's Day Anne and I decided to go out to Rickies for Mothers Day, this Sunday. Also, she's going to buy me the Space Marines Omnibus (Warhammer 40K). That's if I that to have work next Sunday. Despite yesterday being a good news bad news kind of a day I was able to read some "Galaxy in Flames" and do some music production as well. Anyway, that's all for now.

Friday, May 2, 2014

Friday and Saturday's shift has been canclled

which means I need to call tomorrow afternoon to find out if Sunday's shift has been cancelled. Since we have our completions and there isn't anything else on the horizon. I'm out of a job. I'll be asking for a roe due to shortage of work.

My trip out to Northgate Mall was productive. I found out where AW was and in Coles they have 2 Warhammer 40K Omnibus books I've been looking for. The paper work part to get some medical benefits is in its early stages. I was also able to get 2 extra packages of insulin. It all helps. I got home and Anne made me some lunch and I left for lodge and got there about 5:15pm.

There were some complications last night at lodge. We didn't have enough to form a quorum. Mainly because of the 6pm start. We had a nice little festive board and got some things clarified. I got home shortly before 9pm.

When I got home I went on Kijiji again and began looking around for customer service jobs and I believe I found something. I called after hours to get the name of the place but someone picked up the phone. I've got a 11am appointment for this morning but if it's door-to-door type thing, I'll decline and head up the street to the other employment agency and use their computers and send some more resumes. I hope this job is something I'll like to do. It's about the same distance from Corona station as my job is now. Anyway, that's all for now.

I took the day off today but I sent out a resume

from what the employment agency helped to put together for me last week. I had a relaxing day off, reading a bit of Warhammer 40K doing some music production and answering some email.

Seems my job is about to wind down and I'm left in a bind with no work ahead. Yesterday I got a call from the office saying that I could get a call this morning, or a email etc, stating that shifts are cancelled, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Or the message could state until further notice shifts are cancelled. It's not just me, it's everyone. I'll know why if I get the call. If I don't get a call, the I assume it's business as usual and come in on Friday. If its until further notice, then I'll ask for a record of employment. Yesterday I sent off my new resume to another market research place. The idea is to have both going so I'll always  have something to do and money coming in. I also have 2 resumes to send out Friday as well.

We have a special event happening this month in lodge. It's a combination of visiting another lodge that has their lodge the same night as ours at the downtown lodge or "show up in your work cloths." So with a 6pm start where members that don't want to visit can show up in their street/work cloths or go to the other lodge. Since it looks like I'm not going to have enough members to help me open lodge, and I have my Pharmacy/AW appointment I'm considering going to go to lodge, right from there and cancel the visit. We might have a few that will be able to go. The only problem being is the bar for the festive board wont arrive until 6pm and I'll be done with lodge before then if we can't open lodge. Reason for this is a couple of our core guys are heading to Westlock for something there. Two of the guys are working late and wont be able to get to the 6pm. It basically leaves less then whats needed to have a min quorum. Our lodge has never been in this situation before. The good news is, I'll be able to pay my lodge dues today!

Yesterday we got up to +22, which is our 1st day +20 and over. Very nice. So today, I'm out of here at noon for that long trip to Northgate to see my pharmacist and AW with my Doctors prescription to see if I can get any medical benefits. Then from there, it's home and dress and off to Lodge. I emailed our secretary to see if he can bring some Costco sandwiches. I think 2 of the guys might join me to visit. I'll go if just 1 is ready to go. Anyway, that's all for now.
