out here and this unfamiliar guy sits down "how are you?" "Do I know you?" Harlin. Last time I saw him was at the Heart and Stroke. I didn't think about asking him what happened with his not being re-hired on at HS but we got caught up a bit.
Anne rode the train with me to Corona as she was going to Campus station and to West Ed to use our scene points to go see a movie and bring me back some Chinese food. I caught my bus and off at the corner and read my book for awhile before I got into the office.
I had a decent shift and I was able to catch my 9:25pm to Corona and I decided to walk home through Clareview Town Centre to watch what was left over of wrestling and enjoy my Chinese food. I had a great time with Raw. Anyway, that's all for now.

Welcome to my Blog. Monday is my new
favorite day of the week:
This morning I got up and out of here to go down to Clareview station. I cashed in my cfl proline winnings from over the weekend. $28 bucks off a $2 ticket can get me a Warhammer 40K book and a case of beer. I went into Northgate on the #137 and was there like in 10 minutes. I wish the #137 would run like that all day long. I was thinking about heading down to LM to get that mic but I didn't have the energy. I just came home from there and had a nap. My boss from my other job called saying he had 3 shifts for me and I'm glad he called because I was going to call him. I said best I could do would be Sunday's. He said he'd get back to me. I need to work that day somewhere. It's 15 hours every 2 weeks.
I took this morning shortly after 9am today of city crews. They were doing this all last week. Nice work if you can get it:
Apparently the Oiler's are supposed to make another announcement at noon tomorrow. Probably more announcements about broadcasting rights or they are going to hire another middle manager admin or whatever.
Anne's got some baby back ribs in the oven cooking and I'm getting ready to watch Raw tonight. That's my evening, then I'm out of here at 1pm to get the Clareview train to Campus and the #4 to wem then the #126 to the job. That's pretty much the way the week ahead is going to go. Anyway, that's about all for now.

I got 2 more days off
here before I go back to work. That's ok, at least I'm getting (for now) steady hours.
It was built in 1978 but satellite ISEE-3 is staying alive. Thanks to band of space enthusiasts that located the spacecraft and have managed to "talk to it" and to resurrect some of its instruments that can still provide useful data. The project is mostly a labour of love for the 75 team of scientists working on their own time, from the people (some in there 80's) that originally worked on the satellite to younger scientists in their 20's-30's. They raised about $140,000 to be able to work on this project. You can read more about it here.
Anne and I opted out of "Money in the bank" mainly because it would have cost us more money, which we don't have. We'll probably get the WWE network soon. That and my blood sugar readings were very unstable all day and by the time we would have come back, it would have been about 9pm and Anne needed to do Face Time with her sister.
I'm heading out of here about noon today so I can get to my bank get the form for work and then across the street to get my Eagles book. The only tough part about the job is the long distance getting there. It's not like I catch a train and walk a block and I'm there within 30 minutes. At least though, its steady. Anyway, that's all for now.

About 3pm today
I'm paying a visit to the lab to get some blood work done. After that (hopefully) that's it for medical stuff for awhile.
Saturday the people of Kitimat BC in a non binding plebiscite, voted against the northern Gateway pipeline. As much as I'm in favour of the project, I didn't like the route over the mountains and then through narrow waterways. There are other routes to get the oil to Asian markets, like Prince Rupert or even southern BC. The project is not dead in the water. We could also move our oil by rail to Prince Rupert as well. Lots of options.
I left a message on a employment agencies voice mail that helps people with discabilities find meaningful work. Hopefully I'll get a call this week. I like my job just that the money's no good. If I could get a permanent part time day job, I could live with that. After my lab visit this afternoon, it's off into work for my 5-9. Anyway, that's all for now.

We we're out at the bus stop about
2pm yesterday and we almost didn't get underway because of Anne's impatience we just about didn't go but a #11 was at the set of lights by Manning & 50th. We took the train to Southgate and after a 10 minute wait our #33 bus came by and we we're at WEM by about 3:40pm after a slightly uncomfortable bus ride through Riverbend, uggh. Anne wanted to go to Target but they weren't ready to open yet. I think the sign said April 15th. That took about 10 minutes off the clock before we actually got into the mall.
We settled for Moxie's in Bourbon street. I hadn't eaten in this restaurant before or in any Moxie's. It's kind of like Earl's but nicer decor and a better menu. My wife had the turkey club but she didn't like it too much. I had the classic bacon cheese burger. The service was good and the food was decent enough. I'd go back there again. On a scale from 1-10,I'd rate Moxie's an 8.5. Then 10 minutes off the clock was spent while Anne had to shop at London Drugs, which was cutting into our movie time. In other words I didn't get out to Games Workshop or Chapters. That and the mall was packed.
Onto the movie. The first disappointment (unknown to us) was the movie was in 3D and we had to pick our seats from a touch screen, which was 85% full. Dark meant the seat was taken, white meant free. First time I had to do this, which I thought was cool. We almost didn't get the seats as it was way in the back but they were good seats. I almost lost my balance getting to the top of the stadium like seating. I got my seat looking for Anne and held up my hand and she recognized me. She lost her 3D glasses but when she went to get an extra pair in the meantime the patron beside her spotted them on the floor by my foot. As for the movie itself, I really didn't need the 3D glasses that much. I'm looking forward to Brad Pitt's "World War Z " as featured in the trailer. GI Joe "Retaliation" was a good movie and I liked the mountain ninja scene as glimpsed in the trailer. Why ninjas would wear red outfit's in a snowy mountain scene, I don't know. The movie seemed really long but lasted about 2 hours. I wouldn't say it's worth spending the current going rate. To me this movie is worth seeing at your local dollar theater. We got it from our Scene rewards points. If it wasn't for our accumulated Scene points I would have waited until GI Joe "Retaliation" came to our local dollar theater in July. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I went out to see it. I'd recommend Moxie's and GI Joe "Retaliation." Out of 5 popcorn's I'd rate it 3/5.
Tomorrow, I'm going to call Jack to see if he's open for business and get my haircut. But before I see Jack I need to pop into Future Shop to drop off that disk and paper work, then see Jack if he's open. Then on my way home, pop into the Edmonton Public Library with my ID to activate my free library card, which I set up yesterday. City residence have up until the end of June to get it for free. After that basic renewal fees apply. I think. Then it's home to watch Monday night Raw and the Calgary Flames/Oiler's and my 5 day Easter long weekend will come to a close. But it's a short but busy week so I can't complain. Anyway that's all for now.

Well as short as it was, that was my weekend.
This past Friday night I got Machine and I’m playing around and having fun with it. I watched the Oiler’s lose 0-7 Friday night played around with my new toy all day Saturday. Sunday another Oiler game but with Shawn Horcoff (team Captain) is back! The Oiler’s won 6-5 and playing around with Machine and here I am.
My wife went and took our T4’s down to her building because at her job site there is a semi retired guy that works in her office building Sunday & Friday’s. He prepares taxes part time but last year Anne and I qualified for the free tax service at the library. This year (collectively) we don’t. So her colleague said his going rate is $50/couple as we’re filling separately. If I don’t owe the Feds anything then after work if I can get down there by 6pm to LM I’m going to pay them off for Machine. Anne was saying before I open another account I need to have an RRSP. I can see that.
From my WTF files (in case some of you missed it) comes today's strange date: March 11th 2013. Omit the 20 take away the / and the numbers read 31113! Those have to be winning lottery numbers for sure.
This week, its Monday night Raw and the Oiler’s are on the last leg of their 9 game road trip Tuesday in Denver. For me this week, its work and playing around with Machine. Anne has a week off and wants to replace the couch we‘ve had for 13 years. Friday night after work I hope to meet Anne at her place of employment to sign the forms as the guy doing our taxes is filling them electronically. If I owe the Feds like more then $200 or so, I‘ll be paying LM on my account. Saturday, I‘m heading to Freemason‘s Hall again for Commercial Lodge and because it‘s Anne‘s birthday after Lodge, we‘re heading out to as I‘m taking her to dinner. So, that‘s more or less my week. Anyway, that‘s about all for now.

Lots going on this week.
Monday night Raw, Tuesday Oiler game, Wednesday Lodge, Thursday valentines day, Friday the beginning of a long weekend.
I’ve been having a bit of a problem with my right heal. It seems to dry up with crackling skin. We think it’s diabetes so I’m putting some Vaseline on it and covering it up with a sock. Hopefully that will help out.
My favorite board game Advance Squad leader seems to have a active presence on YouTube. Multi Man Publications most recent ASL offering has been one of their Historical modules called “Festung Budapest.” There is an un-boxing of this game and it’s a huge game. The only thing I don’t like about it is that MMP went and changed the SS counters from their traditional white on black to like every other counter in the German OOB. I don’t know why they did this and some of the comments about the SS counters not being their traditional colors put some players off. Even 3rd party ASL treatments keep their SS counters in their traditional color. The other thing about the game it’s like a $130 price tag. I’m thinking about buying this because it might have a limited print one.
Finally the Oiler’s won on the road. They are still in 9th place but I think this is where they will be all season. Roughly between 10 and 9th. Dubnyk was in net and he stole the show. Hall was called for goal tender interface and with his speed propelled him up onto the net and over. Made me laugh.
I’ve got a full day ahead today as I’m up at 7am and out the door at 8am. I should be home about 5:45pm. Next week I’ll be able to pencil in my own hours. 34 hours is full time. I’m used to 37.5 at my last job but that was including Saturdays. I’m glad I don’t have to do them anymore. Anyway, that’s about all for now.

A full day off today
and I've got a few things to do this week as explained earlier.
The problem of my FL. Studio clipping issue is resolved. I switched from the sound card and took it off line and went to straight Asio 4 all and put the headphones in my laptop sound card, no clipping.
So the NHLPA are in the process of decertifying their union which means litigation of existing contracts. The owners could be losing millions of dollars in doing this as they are already losing money from lost games. I believe that this power play will work on the players behalf. I believe that because of this the owners will meet players demands before the NHLPA goes into full decertification. We'll have NHL hockey back before the end of the year and on ice in the New Year but that's my opinion.
I thought while I had the time off and all, I thought I'd expand on my friends list in my links section. These are family and real people I know and care about. One link gets me to their Facebook page.
On Coast tonight its "hidden history" and cruise ships, ok. Yeesh. Anyway, that's about all for now.

Despite having been woken up to
an annoying stereo behind our bedroom wall where our bass board of our bed is at 9:30 this morning, I had a good day.
We had a real change in the weather as well as earlier this afternoon it was about +20 until the wind picked up.
Also, I found out how to remove photos/video off of my iPad, which gave me an extra 3 Gb of space on my iPad.
After the wind storm above Anne went to get us some Pizza from her staff discount and it was really nice.
I've got a nice bag of "Crispers" chips here for Monday night Raw, which will get underway in about half an hour. That's one of the reasons why I don't like working Monday nights is because Raw now is a 3 hour show and I don't want to get the encore edition at 10pm and be up until 1am watching wrestling all night.
My blood sugar reading is way to high right now sitting at 13.4! Too be fair though, I had just eaten a small pizza and a small piece of cake
This is the last week of standard time as ext weekend we go back to daylight savings. Anyway that's about all I have for now.

I woke up about
11:40am Monday and called LM to see if they had the Mustang 1 guitar amp and the Bullet strat. Yes for both. I left out of here about 12 noon and got to Clareview and downtown listening to some tunes on the way to Corona. After a breif sweaty humid walk to LM they had the guitar and amp waiting for me. Great. They wraped everything up in their LM bags but I had to leave the amp box behind because it wouldn’t fit in the bags. It weighed close to 20lbs. It was tough going sweating like I was in a steam room. I had to rest across the street from Money Mart. After a brief hike to Corona and a wait at the station platform my train came by and I could relax for a bit. I wanted to come through the back way because it would have been easier going through 1 door then 2 like in the front. Up the stairs down the hall, inside. Whew! I‘m glad I don‘t do that all the time. I had a shower to cool off. Imagine if it was one of those +32C days!
Anne wanted to make a trip to the bottle depot as I was tinkering with my new toys and she bought me a A&W sirloin “Uncle burger/fries” it really hit the spot.
I watched the historic 1000th show of Monday night Raw. So because of interference, does this mean Cena keeps his “Money in the bank” brief case?
After a bit of tinkering I‘ve got everything set up. I can get the shape to do some bare chords and the amp is very loud for a 15 watt amp. Loud enough for what I need it for and the Master knob was turned up to about 3. I have the amp registered to Fender although I haven‘t got the Ableton lite or Fuse downloaded yet. I‘ll work on that over the week.
By Wednesday the $40 funds I uploaded to PP should be in and Telus already took their internet preauthorized billing, so that‘s ok.
So the Oiler‘s have signed Yakupov to a 3 year entry level deal. Lets see of he makes the team during training camp about 6 weeks away.
I’m happy with the amp because it reads fine in FL Studio 10 and I laid a sample track down. I just need to tweak the settings on the guitar and the amp and I’m good to go. On a scale from 1-10, Id rate Monday a 10. What an excellent day. About 7pm there was even a heavy rain storm that took 5 minutes to pass through here. Anyway, that’s all I have for now.

I got up out of here
about
10:40am and had some cereal and fed the cats and got ready for my
little jaunt downtown. At about 11:20am it was muggy out there but I had
our Itouch player listening to some music by The Clash. I had a 10
minute wait for the train and a brief wait between Stadium and Churchill
and I was at Scotia making my deposit. A brief wait for the train and
(on track 2 this time, finally.) I was home about 12:40pm, so just under
an hour. I got the funds uploaded to pp and this means I’ll have the
funds in pp by next Wednesday.
ETS tunnel
construction from the Bissel Centre to Churchill station is at the half
way mark. They should probably break free to Churchill by the New Year
if all goes well. I think they are 60% done and will have the new line
opened on time April 2014. Which isn't that far away.
This upcoming round of CFL games are as thus Winnipeg(W)/Toronto, Saskatchewan/ Calgary(T), Edmonton/BC(T), Montreal/Hamilton(W). I'm going to play any game with BC and the Riders on the road as a tie. Week 3 I bombed out, again.

wave now. We don't usually in the Summer climb to much above +25* but
once a year we'll get a +30* temperatures or warmer but nothing like
they do in the US. We'll have this heat wave for this week and most
likely by the weekend we'll be back to our +22* for the rest of the
summer. (I hope)
This
morning my wife and I sat out on our balcony sipping these "Breeze"
Rum/pineapple coolers. Very nice and I got a nice buzz going to bed
about 3am. I had a nice sleep.
I have to give my head a shake here. All my CFL Proline picks came in for me (on paper) I could win about $50 bucks here. All Home teams to win.
Winnipeg/Montreal 30-41 on that Friday night. Game 1, 1 down 3 games to
go. The double header continued on my way home Friday night.
Hamilton/BC. The Lions had possession of the ball with about 20 seconds
on the clock. it was 36-39 Lions. It was something like 1st and 20. A field goal kick here would be all that was needed to give me another win
on my ticket. So what do the Lion's do? The run out the clock and drop
the knee. Second down. They run down the clock again. WTF? They run it
down to a 3rd down and drop the knee to 0 time on the clock. A tie game
in the CFL is a difference of a 3 point spread. So even though the
Lion's won, I lost because Proline says this is a tie game. I still have
my ticket here and I'm going to bring it in in case I'm wrong or if
Proline has changed the rule I didn;t know about but I think that
stands. Oh it gets even better: Saturdays game
Calgary/Toronto same score 36-39 but the Argo's were in a similar
situation to BC but at least they kicked for a field goal to get the 3
points. Yesterday the Esks against Riders 1-14 for Regina. Edmonton
didn't even show up. On paper my picks came in but the actual Proline
results, we're 2 wins and 2 ties. But that was week 2. Let the games
begin.
Last
night on the news they had this story about Mars and the Mars rover Opportunity that's been tracking all over the planet for about 10 years
now. It gave us some fantastic images of the planet and others as shown
on the news last night. I'd like to see NASA launch another probe to Mars only this time have one of those hobby type aerial drones so it can float over target sites. That'd be cool. It's going to be decades before humans actually
land on Mars and certainly not in my lifetime.
We're
losing so many Hollywood celebrates from my generation. February we
lost David Jones from the Monkees and Ray Bradbury and last week we lost
Andy Griffith and this weekend we lost Earnest Borgnine. All of these
actors and writers were special to me growing up in the 60's but David
Jones especially because he was old but he wasn't as old as Andy, Ray or
Earnest and David was more closer to my age group. What a loss and we
still have another 5 months left on the year.

The only
Difficulty with composing a blog post on my I pad is Blogger won't let me change the font in this version. They have a mobile version for tabs and phones.
After the late news last night about Midnight, Anne and I rented Mission Impossible 4 "Ghost Protocol." This isn't a movie review or anything but on a scale from 1-10 I'd rate the movie a solid 10. The only thing I didn't like about the movie was the primer scenes at the beginning but other then that minor annoyance, yeah a solid 10/10. I got the feeling though I was watching a James Bond movie more then a MI movie. I saw some great movies last year. Ghost protocol was out December 16th and costs $145M to make but its return at the box office was $693M! That doesn't include DVD or video on demand sales. In watching the movie I was fascinated by the Burj Duba tower where one of the major scenes in the movie took place. The building is the tallest man made structure ever built built in 2004 and opened 2009 at a cost of $1.5 billion. The movie itself did nearly half of that in sales. Crazy.
If the space elevator ever gets built then that will obviously be the tallest man made structure in the world. Yet that won't happen in my lifetime. Or if it does, I'll probably be on my death bed when they announce plans to build it.
Anne talked me into another day. I go from Tuesday through Saturday anyway and Monday is my natural day off and I said to J I'd try and be in for Monday but don't expect me in until Tuesday. I hinted at Monday because I have lodge night Thursday but I'm half a day on Thursday. Next week I'll have my Monday-Friday and a couple of Saturdays off.
I got a bug of some kind in my desktop causing my browser to lockup on me. It's nothing Telus is doing and its not a big deal so I'm going to have to go in and have it serviced get Vinny to take a look at it.
This evening Anne is going to be making the chili for the festive board and I'm calling Dan to see if we got enough beer. Anne is getting the chili ingredients later this afternoon after a bottle run. She suggested getting some taco shells and sour creme and cheese to sprinkle on top. She's also going to look at getting another crock pot as they're selling them at Exes Cargo for under $20 and they have disposable soup bowls across the street for a buck at the Dollarrama (15per package.) I've also got to call Neil and see if he can pick me up for Thursday all I need is buns possibly donuts for desert. So the last thing we're going to need is the donuts for on the way back. I can get 3 boxes of assorted for $10 bucks. The good news for me is the JW fund will reimburse me for what I spend out of pocket. I gave Anne $25 for the chili fixings and the bowls are a buck buns are about $3. If Dan says I have to get extra beer, then I'm SOL because I won't have that amount of cash on me. .
The good news in this chair is I have only 5 more months to go (the Lodge shuts down in July & August) but there's our participation at Fort Edmonton park, which I've been attending over the last couple of years and the Lodge BBQ in August. I'll be glad when it's over but the real test is who's going to do this in next year and my year and my IPM year? There's a lot of un answered questions.
Tonight though I'm home, watching hockey and wrestling and making a few phone calls. It's a good thing I didn't go in for this evening. Anyway, that's all for today.

Even though its a Monday
Its still my Sunday afternoon here.
Yesterday was a washout. The whole day actually. Welcome to marital bliss and I'll leave it at that. We're ok for now but barely.
Sorry for the lack of photos on this blog but my digital camera is old even though still operable sucks up rechargeable batteries like a pig. I'm considering the new 4th Gen Itouch or an Iphone before the end of the year but I'm lacking a Government photo ID card plus my S.I.N card. I know my SIN number, I just don't have the card. Service Canada has the application forms and they cost about $10 but in order to get that, of course, you need photograph ID. (so they can do a credit check on you for a 3 year contract.) So it's kind of like a run-a-round but I'm thinking about buying the Iphone out right and hust running a pay-as-you go type thing.
Today's a new day, Boots is flying in and out of here through the crack on the window of the window frame, its a beautiful sunny day with a cool breeze flowing against what little autumn leaves are left on the ground. I'm enjoying my coffee trying to wake up.
I don't know what to make use of Groove Machine, my new VST plug in. I haven't played with it enough yet to really exploit what it can do as there are very few tutorials on the net about it. I still think "Battery 3" is better but it comes bundled with NI's Komplete 8. Next week I'm getting Guitar Pro 6.
Today is my only day to myself this week, as I'm in for Tuesday 8 hours (maybe) Wednesday 8 hours, Thursday 4 hours, (Lodge night) Friday 8 hours, Saturday 6 hours for a total of 34 hours on the week. I'm expecting no bonus money this week for next pay check so missing 1 hour to qualify nothing I'll receive, wont matter. Plus, next Sunday is my Sunday shift. But I'm thinking about taking Thursday off. I'm trying to get it where I work Sunday for Lodge night but with yesterdays debacle, no way. Next time when it's Lodge week I'll put in the obligatory every 2nd Sunday. Anyway, that's about it for now.

I got up on the late side of
2pm and it caught up with me about 5pm what with having this sinus like headache that came upon me. I thought uh-oh, what if its that Safeway brand diet Caffeine free diet Cola Anne bought? And this was at the time she spent a good several hours having the baby back ribs being cooked on the barbie. The ribs tasted great but the headache became worse. Not like it was last January. Anne was coming and going all night and I ended up spending a bit of time lying down the fan a few inches from my head to "cool me off." About a 2/3rds of the way from the end of Raw I began to feel a lot better. Now its almost gone. So the ribs will have to wait for later for lunch.
Monday night Raw was very good. On a scale from 1-10. I'd rate it an 8. Near the end of the show in a face off between the new COO HHH and CM Punk. Punk said near the end of the show something like. "This isn't CM Punk talking to HHH, this is Phillip Brooks talking to Paul Levesque." That's the first time I think any Wrestler in WWE has used their real name, other then the characters that use their real names: Steve Austin, Cody Rhodes, etc. Somebody kept on turning Punks microphone off, hehe.
Coast has one good show this week on "Evocations and the Occult." I like shows like this. They had a good topic last night about 9/11 and the guest was suggesting that Osama Bin laden had nothing to do with the attacks known as 9/11. He was on the FBI's short list. Also, interesting was the CH-47 Chinook helicopter downing by an RPG in Afghanistan. The occupants were Special Forces from the same branch that killed Bin Laden. Not the same people involved in the operation to kill Bin Laden but what a coincidence. Did whoever shoot down that helicopter knew there were Seal personnel aboard it relying on faulty Intel thinking it was people from the same unit?
I don't know if I mentioned this at all but Saturday while on my 2-2:30pm break I went out to get some air and went over to BP's across the street from the new building. I wanted to see if I could access BP's Wifi network just outside it's doors but it locked me out. My boss thinks that we're going to have wifi on the new building but nothing is confirmed yet.
I'm back to work tomorrow for a full 8 hours and same for the rest of the week. I'm working from Tuesday-Saturday and Sunday I'm working as well and having next Monday off. Anyway, that's about all for now.

I think
I made a blog post Sunday but didn’t write in here.
Over the weekend all 4 of my CFL games paid to win. Last week I won $30 and this week $35. This weekend is a bi weekend. The CFL calls it this to even out the schedule which means week #8-#9 have only 2 games. Half the league doesn’t play on bi weekends. The other thing I think I feel why I’m winning is because I’m not getting greedy and placing large bets like $10. I go 4 games, usually played out over the weekend and bet a min of $3. Having won 2 games doesn’t make me an expert in Proline, I’m just having fun and I’m making a little pocket change along the way. But I was sweating big time when Toronto and Hamilton were so close. It was a field goal that was the difference maker.
It’s overcast out there I’d say about +23. Seems we had a bit of rain as well out there. As for me, I’m enjoying a nice cup of coffee.
The idea was to go down to the pharmacy at the Baker Centre and get the Visa gift card this morning. But I knew I’d feel like shit thanks to this cold. Anne needed the bus pass this afternoon but she’s not even out of bed yet. I’m going in though tomorrow and pick up the card come home call Magix tech support and get them to help me out with the ordering/install process.
Yesterday I took Anne out to brunch at Rickies. “Thanks Pro-line.” She ended up going to a Dollarrama then after brunch to Shopper’s drug mart. I was checking in at the Virgin Mobility (Rickies is in City Centre West kiosk as Anne had to make another side trip) to see if they had a couples plan for the Iphone 4. They didn’t have such a thing and their plans for the Iphone 4 are $170 on a 3 year contract. They have lots of Android phones. Then Anne caught up with me and she had one more trip to make to another Shoppers Drug mart or what ever it was called. While she did her thing I noticed on a couple of stand racks they had Visa/Master gift cards there of various denominations along with other gift cards like Itunes etc. But the one at Canada post lets you add what ever ammount you want up to $200.
After that my throat was bothering me. I needed ice cream. They must have taken out the Laura Secord stand but Anne was over at another stand and I ordered a dish of 1 scoop ice cream (pricey at $3) But I needed it now eating it waling along the causeway to the Churchill LRT. My Itouch said the time was 4:05pm while we were waiting for the train. There were a lot of people out there on a Sunday because of “The Fringe” it being their 30th year. On the news last night they were saying they had record crowds out Saturday night about 200,000 people.
Tonight, I’m watching Monday night Raw after the fall out of Summerslam from LA last night and I got a bit of an update. So. I’m looking forward to the show tonight.
I’m having some trouble with my Itouch. I charged it up last night with a full charge and this morning, the battery was dead. So, something is draining my battery. At first I thought maybe it’s a song that is still on pause. But I recall that if the unit gets shut down by the off/on button, that can drain batter as well.
I’ve got to call Dan to see about Fort Edmonton park this Sunday. I’m giving Anne $25 see she can get lunch over there at Olive Garden. Dan and I are Hosts for the afternoon at the Masonic Hall Lodge. It’s open to the public so we’re there fielding questions about Freemasonry, what it is and isn’t.
Image Line is releasing something in beta Groove Machine. I watched a couple of videos. It’s a (might be) vst plug-in for FL Studio 10. I could find only 2 videos about it on YouTube.
And finally, not much going on this afternoon/evening. I’m struggling with this cold. Most likely I’m reading and taking it easy as tomorrow I’m up about 7:45am to catch the 8:20 bus to Clairview station. I want to be at the pharmacy about 8:30am when it opens and get the gift card and my 6/49 ticket and then head home back to bed. Anyway, that’s about all for now.

As Monday's go this one seems to be okay
Saturday while winding down the last hour at work I sat beside Said about to charge up his Itouch. I said I’m picking up one of those USB chargers eventually. He said, “You never got one that came with your Itouch?” Huh?
Apparently they are shipped with each unit but when you buy from a 3rd party outlet, they take all the extra things they can get away with and sell them separately. He said you get way more things when you buy direct. In this case from the Apple store but I wanted the Itouch that afternoon when I got it 2 months ago just before Pat & Barry came by to take us out for dinner. I wasn’t going to go all the way out to WEM. But I didn’t know this at the time.
Last night I wanted to test Said’s theory. I checked out 3 separate Itouch 8 Gb “un-boxings.” And not one of those un-boxings show any USB adapter chargers. Unless all of those people bought their Itouch from a store like Future shop, this little experiment only answered part of the question. The recharger is a $35 item. I just called our local Apple store and even they said the USB recharger cube does not come with the Itouch its an item sold separately for $35. Same price as Future shop. Still for such a small thing it sure is pricey.
Last night I was trying to get a banner replacement for my site logo in Gimp 2. I got up to the bucket fill but the guy on YouTube lost me with paths. I have another YouTube that breaks posting the log and image down in a matter of minutes. Very easy to do. I’ll be doing this over the next few days.
Another problem I have is (and I think its with Firefox/Geeklog) is I can’t get hyperlinks to work in GL. They work ok for Blogger. I’m trying to get a photo Anne took of me for my banner “I’m a baby boomer Sci-fi geek with a laptop.”
We’re only +14 out there temperature wise and we’re supposed to get rain over the next few days but warmer weather is coming. I like summer when it’s about +25 but not for long periods of time, hard to sleep at night.
I’ll be leaving out of here at 4pm for my commute into the office for my 5-9 then home about 9:50pm to settle in for my Monday night Raw. I don’t know I Haven’t seen Triple H around for a long time but it seems he‘s been working on a movie called “The Chaperone.” The other thing I noticed while watching that dismal showing of the Esks/BC game was a commercial for ABC’s new game show called “Downfall.” Downfall is hosted by none other then Chris Jericho of the WWE. Cool. The show‘s been out for a couple of weeks now. Anyway, that’s about all for now.
