Anne and I left out of here

about 1:30pm. I had to trudge through a snow bank up the ramp here to the bus stop. They cleared the snow away here as in this photo taken about 3:40pm

I had a bit of a wait because of the blowing snow we got here. I met my wife at the train station ahead of me. I met Anne at the platform by the stairs, missing her completely before I got her attention. So we went down to Edmonton Centre. At Shoppers drug mart I got my Pro-line ticket, getting Toronto/Anaheim game on my ticket before the 3 pm deadline. I got a bag of plain chips and Anne wanted some cookies. I had a bacon cheese burger and fries as Anne had a breakfast and I had a bacon cheeseburger/fries. Anne had to go to the West End Pet Smart to get a canopy light for our aquarium tank because they didn’t have any at the Pet Smart location down the street continue on here:

So, I went home on my own after lunch and she went the other way. I was going to get my book at Coles but I thought I could always get it at Audrey’s after work, right? I got my train at Central Station and had a long 10 minute wait five minutes away from Clairview station. There were no buses waiting there so that’s when I figured I’d walk home. The snow had stopped for a bit but the snow bank just outside here was still there. All evening even while watching the Oiler game I was bringing up flem and so was Anne causing me to lose sleep. Keeping each other awake we talked about me staying home.

I figured what with the snow storm and all and it being a Monday experience has taught me that the trains would be running slow and the platforms would be packed. Not only that but the snow bank out here would be a factor and even coming home as well. Anne would be worried about her diabetic husband, so I put it all together and figured this: I haven’t had a week off since 2004 when I was in the hospital. I’m diabetic and put it all together I made a decision to call the office answering machine and left a message that I’d be in for Tuesday. I tried to sleep earlier and I did for a few hours and I got up to watch the 2011 trade deadline countdown.

Not much was happening on that department There was a minor Oiler trade but with about 30 minutes left remaining the big almost expected announcement about Dustin Penner to LA for a big D and a first round draft pick (Shenn?) I‘m actually comfortable with this trade even though I liked Penner and he wanted to play here. He‘ll be wearing jersey #25 in LA. He has a house in LA and a car so it’s a good trade. Actually there were only about 10 trades today. But if we can finish last again and get Sean Couturier (41 goals this year) this player could be the next big thing. Add him to the Sean Hamilton/Braden Shenn mix and the Oiler‘s look really good for 2012. Moving Dustin Penner to LA only helped our cause. Ok enough of hockey.

I haven’t been outside today but I’m thinking about stepping out to see if they’ve done anything as far as clearing the snow bank outside.

For a short month it

has been way to long.

I had a nice Saturday off here and just hunkered down all day. I tried looking on TCM or AMC for a movie this evening but there was nothing that I liked.

This isn’t exactly new news but I find it sad in a way that Nasa is finally going to retire the space shuttle series. There’s 2 more shuttle launches before this happens but the system will be retired by the end of the year. I hope the space elevator gets built to replace the space shuttle but I doubt that will happen in my lifetime.

I’ve never been a big fan of shooter games but “Bulletstorm” from EA looks interesting. That and “Little Big planet 2” are the 2 console games I’m looking at getting for two different platforms. I’ve been seeing reviews and promos for Lbp2 for awhile now and today X play had a special dedicated to Bulletstorm. Also, there’s the sequel to Oblivion coming out in November. After I get Cubase 6 my next tech toy is going to be the IPad (2nd gen) when it comes out only if it comes with a camera of course. I think I want to wait a bit and abandon the Itouch for the IPad or get both.

Despite the cold weather out there I suggested to Anne that we go out for brunch (if there’s no contingency buses) at Rickies in City Centre mall. it’s a very busy establishment on a weekend but we like Rickies and I can get my book on the way out and Anne can get us our bus pass for March. I also want to get my Pro-line ticket for 3 NHL games today and I‘ll update this when we come back before the Boston/Oiler game this afternoon while Anne is watching The Oscars on the other TV. Anyway, that‘s all for now.

I'm half

awake here this morning.

Not a lot going on this week. We're in a bit of a cold snap here for about another week with a bit of a break on Saturday of about -5. Then the thermometer starts climbing up.

I got a call from Audrey's yesterday saying my 3 Omnibus Hammerslamer books are in. That's got to be a special book order record. Usually it takes Audrey's suppliers 3-5 weeks from the time I place an order to the time I get the call. I only ordered the books last Friday! So, I'll go in on my way home, pick up one and then maybe treat myself at Boston's or something up here.

Tonight the Oiler's are hosting St. Louie at 6pm, so I can watch the first period on BP's big screens and maybe have a beer with my burger and fries, then head home. I'm not a heavy drinker when I'm out. I usually have 1 and then I'm done.

Even though its been a short week, I feel like its been a long one. Well, I got to go get my bath, clean up take my insulin and a bowl of cereal and dress warm to get my 8am bus then train and into the office. Anyway, that's about all for now.

That was a nice long weekend

I couldn’t sleep the last 2 hours there, so I’m up now. Sorry no graphic for the post today.

Most of the time our local media (Global) is pretty good when it covers world events. But our local media at the same time occasionally doesn’t get it right either. Yesterday we had here in Alberta something called Family day, which corresponds to presidents day in the states. Local news media through out the weekend kept making reference to Family day as something that began in 1980, when in fact it began by then Premier Don Getty because his son got into a driving accident which was influenced by cocaine. He was so torn up by this that it caused him not only to call an early election (3 years then needed) but to have a day just for families. This was in 1989, not 1980 as local news media would have us believe. Lately a lot of the Global news anchor people have been coming from other Provinces and don’t do their research properly. I‘ve also noticed the quality of the coverage slipping since Global was taken over by Shaw, it‘s gone down hill lately.

Well, that was the “Family day” long weekend. I had a nice 3 day weekend. I watched a couple of Oiler victories and a game on for tonight. Should be a good one. We’re at Minneapolis tonight at 6pm then Colorado Wednesday. Today it’s a full day. I’ll be wandering into the office at about 8:30am. The morning usually goes by fast but the afternoon drags on especially the last half hour

Last night I discovered Cubase has released their 6th edition and they’ve got an incredible suite of tools and accessories in their recent application I’m seriously thinking about getting. I was going to go for FL Studio but FL is in between things. They are in beta testing 9.8, then its going to be 9.9, 9,9 A, B etc. As soon as I buy 9, 10 will come out. I’ve tried Cubase before and I liked it. Cubase 6 is a higher end suite then FL studio. It’s kind of like in the area of Pro Tools. A Kegan version of Cubase 6 isn’t available yet but by the time it is, I’ll have the funds to get a licensed edition anyway. Anyway, work today, hockey tonight and that’s about all for now.

My first/3 days off

checking out SF signal’s site they announced that they are now have a Community. So I joined under my own name Jim Shannon. I haven’t made any contributions yet but if there’s time I will this weekend.

I got up out of bed about 1pm because I wanted to watch the Oiler/Thrasher game. Our boys were losing 2-0 but kept in the game. Right after Anne had left just as the 2nd period was about to close we scored, 2-1. They scored 3-1, Then Taylor Hall, for his 18th. Then Hall for his 19th and then Hall for his 20thand his first natural hat trick! History in the making. I’m not saying Taylor Hall is another Wayne Gretzky but he’s got the capability of being an elite player. Maybe Commissioner Gary Bettman should come out more often. Great game and I'm glad I was able to watch it and be a part of it.

Speaking of hockey, the NHL is having their Heritage Classic game this Sunday in Calgary‘s McMahon stadium. This is a bad move on the Nhl for several reasons. First there’s the trade deadline a few weeks away and the Flames are trying to make the playoffs. This is just another distraction they don’t need. Tomorrow’s outdoor game is more for the fans then it is for the player’s. The NHL should have had this game back in November.

There‘s a few good movies coming out I want to see: “Sucker punch,” “Adjustment bureau”, “Thor”, “Captain America” and Philip K dick‘s movie adaptation “UBIX not to mention “Priest.” I haven’t even seen “Tron” Legacy yet.”

Not just are there a lot of exciting movies coming up but also some games I want to get playing: I want to get a Play Station 3 so I can start playing “Little Big Planet 2” and there are a few on the PC but I need either another/new PC or an upgrade to my system.

Anne’s working tonight and it’s very cold out there. I’m glad I’m inside with the only thing I want to do for the rest of the night is read and drink some tea. And maybe listen to a few podcasts before Anne comes home.

I’m really looking at before the end of this month in getting a PS3. I can’t justify buying something like this to Anne and keeping it out in the living room because I’m not even playing anything on my Xbox but Elder Scrolls 5 is coming out in November. Plus if that’s not enough I got other Lodges I want to visit and I got that big FC part to do in April at our Lodge etc. Lots going on. This year is going to be a big year for me. Anyway, that‘s about all for now.

From yesterday and today

back from being laid up Wednesday and we're doing the circus.
It was rough going but eventually I got a sale. The regional manager from Vancouver was also there as well and apparently they were there to go over strategy for finding us another office as our lease at our present location will be up before the end of the year.

*I felt OK by going in about 8:30am I figured I would be about the only one there. Sure enough there was about half our crew there, mainly because it was Friday/payday. Jay filled in for Gerry apparently doing something with the GM so we got a break from circus and did cops. I had a great morning and got bonus money for top total and my check just after I came up from getting my 2 Proline tickets for 3 games. 1 ticket to win pays out $20 the other one reversed order, same games pays out $12. I spend $4. After work I went to my bank and over to Audrey's to get my special order and shop. I got book 2 of the Stephen Hunt's Jackelian series:

I thought I had 2 Warhammer 40k books but the other one is my 1st ever steampunk read.I also ordered the 3 Omnibus volumes of David Drakes Hammer slammer series. They were still in print. The LRT ride home was better then last night, that's for sure. I was in the apartment, half expecting Anne sitting on the couch off work having a cold but she left me dinner to heat up and a night by myself.

I had an OK day for my first day on Circus but nothing on card. I called Anne on my break and after work handed in my recap and went to Corona station so I could get home and have a chat with Neil for a ride to the Lodge. But the weather made the trip so long with all the interruptions up and down the line, a 20 minute train ride took an hour! I got home at 5:45pm. Too late to set up a ride in this weather to the lodge by Neil. Wait, he's not slated to do anything anyway. So I called Nathan and he picked me up. I forgot my Apron. The whole evening was a mess because of the low turnout but we were able to form Lodge and put 2 candidates through. I screwed up my lines in the beginning but the middle was good and messed up near the end. Yeesh. Also, there are a couple other lodges that are doing something this Saturday at the Lodge downtown. I was thinking about going in and work until noon and then head up to the Freemasons Hall and sit in on their FC degree and fellowship for later. Interesting.

I got up a bit early because I couldn't sleep. Anyway, today I'm in for the full day. I'll leave out of here at 4:30pm do my banking and head for home and the long weekend. If I feel any better I might come in for Saturday morning. We'll see. Anyway, that's about all for now.

I took an unshedualed sick day off work

Last night this virus had gotten so bad, every time I lied down to go to bed, I kept hacking and coughing.

So this went on all night and my voice got so bad, Anne suggested I take the day off so I could rest my voice and try and shake off this virus/cold. I called in and left a message on the machine at work took my insulin and went to bed. That didn’t work so I rested on the couch a few hours and took another flem removal type pill or whatever it was Anne had picked up for me. Much to my surprise I was able to sleep so I slept until about 1pm this afternoon and I feel a lot better.

Anne made me some lunch as she was watching “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” It makes her laugh. I don‘t mind it. If I had a chance to watch “Merlin“ or that, I‘d watch Merlin. But Anne had left about an hour ago and has all TV services locked out because she‘s recording “Doctor Oz.” Even if “Stargate Universe” was on right now, I wouldn’t know how to get at it.

On my plate this evening, I’m going to try and listen to the latest SF Signal Podcast featuring an interview with David Drake. I’ve never gotten around to read this author before. He’s got 4 books coming out this year. He’s well known for his “Hammer slammer” series. Some of his stuff you can still read on line. I think when I go into Audrey’s this week, I’ll be ordering all 3 volumes of the Hammer slammer series in in Omnibus format.

And finally, at last the Oiler’s won a game at Rexall place. This victory said No-way to a Dallas sweep of the Oiler’s this season. Talk about a decisive victory: 4-1. The Oiler’s seldom win decisive victories and especially at home but this one was sweet. Tomorrow while I’m at the Lodge, it’s the Habs in town. Anyway, that’s about all for now.

From this morning:

Not a lot going on today. I’m still in the grip of this cold. The weather around here has grown colder at -7 right now and there is most likely a wind chill when I go out there this morning.

I’m not totally comfortable with doing the EA ritual but I’ll do my best Wednesday night.

SF signal today revealed another Podcast source I want to check out today called The Outer alliance. I'll have to see if its available on ITunes later this evening.

Over this last weekend the Oiler’s have been playing so terrible that at the end of the 3rd period when they were beat by Anaheim I think 4-0, they were booed off stage by the fans at Rexall. Not good especially with the trade deadline in a few weeks. Anyway, that’s all for now.

From this afternoon:

I went into work cold and my sinuses still bugging me. During the morning I kept on hacking and coughing. I got a $30 card sale and a few nibbles to try out for latter. Just before noon though I couldn't’t take the coughing, hacking anymore and asked the boss if I could pack it up today. He agreed and I went downstairs to play on my Pro-line ticket and caught the train to Clairview and home. It was bitterly cold out thereon the way home with the blowing wind and wind chill. I came inside the place, locked up got ready and climbed into bed but I kept coughing and hacking again. Not a pretty sight. So I’m home now, taking it easy but I might go back to bed. Anyway, that’s all for now.

This morning and afternoon

are coming along just fine, it's going to be from 6pm-10pm that's going to be a challenge. Thats the Lodge practice ahead of me and riding on the train home afterwards. At least the weather will be nice and if I'm a little early, that's ok.

Not only this but I had got a cold over the weekend as well. But its good I need to go get this initial practice over with. I'm pretty sure I can get a ride back from someone there.

The good news is that this up coming weekend is Family Day weekend. Yaaa! Anyway, that's all for now.

Another update

Anne called at about 7:30pm and we had a nice chat. We decided tomorrow we’re going to get Sugar a new budgie mate for her. Nothing will ever replace Chirpie. I think he really loved Sugar and it showed every time he’d sit on the ramp outside his cage. So sad.

I’m having relaxing night. I post a lot of stuff over on my Blogger blog because it gets very little traffic and I can get more personal. One thing I’m considering doing is establishing my own “school of mysticism” and publishing this on Blogger and maybe some hard copy books off of Lulu or something like that before I go. My legacy if you will. This system will be a bit of magic/Freemasonry but Fm for both men and women/co masonry. I call this new system, “Mygick.” Its going to be a massive undertaking. Its been percolating in the back of my mind for years now. Most likely I’ll never see it realized and at his point its only a dream.

I watched the last part of Smackdown earlier and had fun with it. I’m getting the makings of a virus of some kind. I got the scratchy throat and runny nose.

This weekend is going to be interesting. “Saturday” is my only day off and I have the practice to go to for Sunday. I still don’t know what time the practice is on. Anyway, that‘s about all for now.

A bit of an update

Now it’s some 12 hours later. This morning was another easy going morning. I was at the corner of 106th st and Jasper across the street from BP’s facing East as usual. It was nice and mild out there as it felt like +2 and it probably was. I got to my station and Gerry tells us we’re moving to res for today. I thought, maybe I should stay until noon and take care of business and go out to eat. So I hung around the office and made some business calls which didn’t pan out. Then I sat around by the reception chatting with Angela until I finally got up to leave around 1pm. Then I headed downstairs hoping Rami was in and I could chat with him but no dice. I loitered around the pharmacy but then decided I could kill better time maybe riding the LRT. So I walked around to Jasper and back the way I came from this morning. I got the train to Clairview and rode it to Century park. That took about an hour. Then while about crossing the North Saskatchewan river bridge downtown I thought. I can get off downtown at Central station below the bank and call Anne if she was up. She was and I said, “Gerry let us out early so I’m at the bank.” (We don’t have the cell phones up and running this week.) So I went and cashed my check at the ATM took out $180 but again talking with Anne we didn’t think this was right. She checked her balance on the home laptop and she had $514 in her account. “Hurry home so I can use the bus pass.” That’s when I realized, I had to put back in her account $100. So back upstairs and 2 people rushed in ahead of me and a small line up of 4. Shit. The line up went by fast though. I put the money in and when the train came by took it home hoping I could still meet with her at Clairview but 3 trains went by me the other direction before I even got to Belvedere. I waited around for her 4 buses she could have taken but no Anne. I went home and paid the balance of the rent. Anne called just before 4pm and we sorted everything out. She has $150 in her account and I have $150 here to work with towards FL studio I’m holding onto the $100, which Monday at noon goes into my Scotia account. I got $15 in my RBC account and what’s left over from Sunday’s dinner will last me the week. Next week I’ll get about $315 and they’ll take out maybe $31 for taxes. I’ll get $60. I’m just wondering if I should just wait until I get my income tax return and vacation pay and order FL then?

I might decide to work tomorrow anyway because I need the money. 35 hours will get me about $320. Other then FL studio at Fs I want the keyboard of course but also the New Itouch 4th gen.

I'm having a good day

Wow, 3 days and the only LRT snag was Monday.

Via SF Signal John Scalzi asks Star Wars (Original series): “Who got better who got worse?” Interesting question. Ok I’ll take a stab at this. Luke Skywalker: Ist movie: All the characters were great. The 2nd movie: Only Lea got worse. Luke sucked in the 3rd. Matter of fact they all did. But that doesn’t mean I hated star Wars. Star Wars in my opinion is the greatest “SF” series of all time. I pretty much agree with Scalzi here, except I don’t think Luke was a whiney dork. Remember Lucas was inspired by Campbell’s formula on “The Hero’s Journey” and most heroes in the beginning that followed Campbell fit this mode. If they didn‘t the film wouldn‘t have worked.

Not a lot going on today/ I had a decent day though at work pulling in 3 sales and 1 was $125 line listing and a $35 card. Sweet. The boss let us out at 4pm as the sale were almost non existent during the last hour. Most of us were glad to head home anyway. It was so nice and mild out there coming >home, it felt like a preview to Spring.

I picked 3 games on Pro-line earlier and it looks like 2 of them are going to go into OT and only one is winning with 3 min left I n the 3rd. Ok, all games were in and I lost thanks to LA Kings and even the leafs lost to NJ. Anyway, that’s all for now.

Another Wednesday

This morning while making a 5am bathroom trip I heard a cat fight going on. We keep Boots separated from the other guys because of that. Mixing Boots with the other cats is like mixing fire and oil. Anne has this elastic tether head band thing she wraps around the inside doorknob and wraps around to a hook we have in the outside door jam. The door doesn’t lock very well as it is and one push from either way can open the door. Boots somehow did this and squeezed himself through. And that’s how the fight broke out. I don’t know how much it developed but I was able to scoop Boots up and place him back inside my office. I tried going back to sleep after that but I kept waking up listening for a potential cat fight, which of course kind of wrecked my sleep for the last 2 hours.

Not much on my plate for today. I’m going to try this store in City Centre Mall called Co-op City because that’s where I can pick up some cleats. They have some in the pharmacy at the office they let me try on but they wouldn’t fit my boot. The ones James has fit me ok. It’s so treacherous walking out there, especially with the freezing rain and all, when we get it. There’s a particularly nasty stretch from 106th/Jasper and the back pf First Edmonton Place building that is dangerously icy and at the lodge it gets pretty bad in some places. In my commute I know the good and bad icy parts to avoid.

Not a hole lot going on for today. Its mid week and we’re heading into a warm up spell for awhile. Lets of snow bank run off, which means more ice in the mornings. I’m making some progress in the Lodge work and I think I should have most if it down when we do the practice Sunday. I know the overall structure and the larger parts. I don’t think this upcoming work will be exactly my finest hour, but I’ll do the best I can. Tonight the Oiler’s are playing here at Rexall. There are a couple of our players up for trade talks. Anne’s working tonight I’m watching the hockey game. Well there you have it. Time for my shh and a little breakfast for my insulin and head out the door. Anyway, that’s all for now

I had a post

set last night for this morning with a photo. The photo was in Itunes and I figured that the backing up prompt was a good idea. Wrong. I lost all of my photos on my Itouch. Fortunately I have them all backed up.

Although it wasn't without a few close calls. My laptop crashed and reset my settings back to factory default. I almost became sick to my stomach but the settings were still in the buffer and I was able to reset everything back to normal.
Ok, I think I got Blogger's HTML figured out, so this should be the permanent font/layout for this Blog. Sorry I don;t have a graphic for today. My post here is different then the one on my website only because of the glitch I had last night with Itunes and my photos. The other thing which seems to work haphazardly less is tables. They barely work on my website, little alone here.
Super bowl weekend has a lot of interesting ads and other then known singers botching up the national anthem, the event also has pretty good half time shows. One of the ads that I liked was the star wars Darth Vader ad. It’s on YouTube someplace.
I got up a bit earlier then usual this morning. I couldn’t sleep after having a solid 5.5 hours before that. I got coffee on the stove ready to go and I did the shh thing already. So, I’m charging up my Itouch as the last thing to do this morning before I post this and out the door for a full day. Anyway, that‘s all for now.

Sunday, February 6, 2011

Not much on my

plate for today. I’ve got my lodge memory work to do and I want to read more from my book. I read about 20 pages earlier.

As much as I find my job challenging at times, I’m grateful I have it. In these tough economic times, I think the more money you make you’re the first to be facing budget cuts/layoffs. My industry is more or less recession proof, even though there are a lot of people that have been laid off across the country, there are an equal ammount of people still employed. My job pays me a little above min-wage but at least my job is more or less guaranteed even though its been hurt by legislation obstacles over the years. Also, we here in Alberta are more or less carrying the rest of the country as far as the economy goes, that‘s why everybody from around the world comes here because our economy is so buoyant. Also, I have another 20 months or so until I can collect early retirement, which basically translates into a few hundred bucks/month. If that. If I take out early retirement at 60, it’s not going to be enough to cover my rent or anything.

I’m having a great time working with the demo version of FL Studio 9. I want to save up some funds and get FL Studio 9 producer edition. FL 9 9.8 (beta) is available now and they’ve got some cool features but the Beta version expires Feb. 28th. I like the new Picture tool and I came across something new called “Newtone.” It’s kind of like Melodyne but integrates with FL Studio better as I think it’s going to be in the FL studio 10. For this reason I’m a bit reluctant to buy FL 9 because I could miss the plug in and other new features in 10. The nice thing is FL has free lifetime updates, which I like. I‘ve tried other DAW hosts like Sonar, Pro tools etc but I like FL studio the best.
Tomorrow is the big Super bowl game South of the boarder. I’ve never been a fan. My wife works for a major Pizza chain here in this country and its mandatory she work for 3 hours today because Super bowl Sunday and New Years eve are their 2 busiest times in the call centre. The other great thing about Super bowl Sunday week, is the big chains like Future shop etc have been lowing their flat panel TV‘s from $1,800 in 2008 down to almost half. Our 46“ LCD TV in the living room is not 1080p. We‘ve had it now since April 2008 and have no trouble with it. So if your going to buy a big screen TV, now‘s the time to do it. Anyway, that‘s about all for now.

Saturday, February 5, 2011

Yesteday was a decent Friday

day yesterday. I couldn’t close that sale so I’m going to chase after it on Monday. I got my check with a few more hours then I had originally thought, which was nice.

After work I went to my RBC bank it was very mild out there, probably about +5. I got to my bank and took out some cash and doubled back to Corona because above the LRT is Audrey’s books. I picked up my last Warhammer 40k book

After that I decided to head down the block to “The Burger baron” for a bite and got some over priced chicken nuggets. Most of the stuff they serve up is from out of the freezer and deep fried. I’d rather go to Wendy’s but with all the ice on the sidewalk and all forget it. I got the train to Clairview and got into the apartment by about 6:30pm as the Oiler game was in progress.
On my plate for today after I get up about 1pm, I’m staying inside all weekend because of all the ice out there on the sidewalks. So I got some memory work to do for the Lodge, I want to read a bit more from my book, there’s another Oiler game on for later tonight. Also this weekend I want to try and get the Xbox 360 clear cache codes Nathan told me about Thursday night. Also, I’ll be working on my music as well. Anyway, that’s about all for now

Thursday, February 3, 2011

It's another Lodge night

I’ve been hearing bits and pieces of this over the last couple of days. The Canadian Radio Television Corporation (CRTC or the equivalent to the FCC in the states) has let Bell one of the largest internet service providers here in Canada has been awarded the right to utilize something called User based billing. What this means is a cap space usage for internet usage. One ISP here (I think its Rogers) has a cap space of 60Gb/month and charges $1/month for every GB over that. When your streaming a movie over Netflex for example that alone can compromise the UBB cap. Ok, a bit of an update on this. It seems that Ottawa is looking into this thing because it might be an election issue. I think the whole issue might be overturned. I don’t know how much I’m using as far as bandwidth is concerned. This is something worth checking into.

Today is a typical work day. My tooth was bothering me all day but not to the point where it became unbearable to work. I drank copious amounts of diet Cola, which helped and I used this kind of oral gel that helped out a bit as well but it really bothered me on the train home.

Tonight I’m in Lodge and finally paying my Lodge dues for 2011. Who knows, I might even get a haircut as well this afternoon. Anyway, that‘s about all for now.

Running behind this morning

My 7am alarm didn’t go off this morning, so I’m running a bit late. Ooops. I really need to get that external current adapter for my Itouch because every time I shut down my computer I’m getting an update (even after I went and turned off updates.)

I left out of here in a bit of a hurry this morning but got into work 10 minutes before shift. As soon as I stepped outside I felt no toothache pain all the way into work and not much through out the day. I had a decent day today so I can’t complain.

One of my co workers mentioned this morning about a laser disk cleaner that can clean up laser disk readers suitable for gaming consoles and they’re just disks with brushes on them or something that clean the lasers as a lot of the time, dust can build up on the laser causing the game cd to become unreadable. If I had any money with me I would have bought one on the way home, so tomorrow after work I’m getting one. I hope its what I need.

I’m going to spend an hour reading from my book tonight. Oh on my Goodreads site I took advantage of my favourites shelf and filled it with some of my favourite books. You can link to it here. Anyway, that’s about all for now.
