Eskimo/Lions game was 12-5 Esks. Then the Lions got some momentum and carried that over past halftime, 12-15. When the score was 12-22 I had a feeling we'd lose this one. "I got other things to do here," I said to myself. Time continued to pass. Lets see how badly we lost. 29-29? What? The game is still in progress? We got ourselves a football game! The game went into overtime, we got a td but couldn't convert. We prevented them from matching our score. Finale 29-35. We're in the playoffs! Third in the West 😓 After that string of losses, I never thought the Esks would get to the post season and there's 2 weeks remaining. Sweet.
Trump dropped a bombshell we knew it was coming: He wants to release the JFK files. The finale batch. How did we know this was coming? As a result of the Clay Shaw/JFK case 1974. This was 4 years before the House select committee on Assassinations or the HSCA. The HSCA was similar to the Warren Commission, which took place in 1964. As a result of the Clay Shaw trial it was noted that the JFK files would remain closed until 2017. That's how come we knew Trump's statement would be coming. Clay Shaw and Jim Garrison are deceased. Over the years the Freedom of Information Act has let a lot of redacted documents out already. Personally I don't think the documents remaining will reveal any smoking gun. The so called smoking gun was silenced when Jack Ruby killed Lee Harvey Oswald when Oswald was transferred that Sunday 2 days after the assassination. If Oswald was involved as the shooter, knowledge of that went to the grave with him. Or did it? There are a lot of conspiracies over this case; was it an inside job? Was the mob involved? Who shot police officer JD Tippit? What bothers me about this case more then anything else is how did Oswald get the rifle? The official narrative said Oswald purchased the rifle out of a magazine in March of 1963. He bought a money order and mailed the money order that day, which was on a Tuesday. Oswald was working at Jaggers/Chiles/Stoval the day the alleged money order was purchased. Oswald had perfect attendance. If its believed that Oswald must have had somebody purchase the money order and mail it on his behalf, that is a conspiracy. Here is a really good You Tube video on what I'm talking about. The documents apparently will be released sometime this week.
I'm not expecting stat pay on my cheque Friday. If its there, then I'll be over to the Southgate Apple store to get my iPad next Saturday. Anne doesn't quite get why I need this device when we already have a iPad. First of all, Apple does not support our iPad 2 with i0s updates. Also, the new i0s music apps are 64 bit and there are a lot of cool apps I'd love to get and some are free but they wont work on our iPad. Those are just a few reasons why I want the new iPad. Sure, I'd like the iPad pro but its a bit out of reach at the moment. If I get stat pay Friday, then I'll get it. If not then I'll get the iPad pro just before Remembrance day. Anyway, that's all for now.

Having a nice weekend but the cost of
this weekend is too high a price to pay. I lost about $100 just on Saturday as it is. I'm keeping track of all the places I've been sending resumes too and getting contact names when I can. I'm allowing 3 days to follow up.
Today its Calgary/Edmonton to decide which team is in the CFL West. Esks have had 3 weeks off and I'm afraid that could do them in. I got a feeling Calgary will win this one. Its very windy out there as well this afternoon and that could be a factor. Also, today is WWE's Survivor series. This is going to decide who will be the new WWE Champion. I'll get the results after. I got a feeling its going to be between Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose and Reigns is going to turn heel and join with the "authority." Also, tonight Anne and I are going to order the last Tom Cruise Mission Impossible Rouge Nation. Its only $6 on video on demand. I'm looking forward to this.
Monday night Coast is having their annual JFK night. Hard to believe that the JFK assassination took place 52 years ago. I was 11 years old. The 3rd annual JFK conference is currently underway in Dallas. Even casual observers that know anything about the case have theories. Was it a conspiracy? Was the mob involved? Or did the Warren Commission get it right? I've added a link in the left sidebar to the Dealy plaza webcam. Every year people gather at the location on the grassy knoll in observance to that day. Anyway that's about all for now.

Its not that I'm
overly busy or anything, there's been not much that's relevant to say. There's not much going on as well around here.
Yesterday (last night) I went for my meeting and one of the guys drove me home and along the way I bought April's bus pass at the nearby 7-11. After I got home I was going over my duties of a lodge master in the constitution and worked on my Cubase and had audio coming out of most tracks then I lost audio. Reason for this is I'm running Cubase and Maschine on minimum system requirements. Through out my Sunday afternoon I did a lot of JFK research and found a real nugget of some information about a peripheral character in the case. Also I learned yesterday that earlier this month James Tague passed away. He was the fellow standing by the triple underpass, when one of the missed shots in the JFK assassination hit the near by curb and a bit of he curb hit his cheek. I put my Cubase project away around 4am shut the laptop down and went to bed.
About the first week of this month, I put my resume in for a call centre job at the Blue Cross catty corner to where to where I'm working now. My resume was languishing in their slush pile I more or less forgot about it. Finally almost a month latter they replied back with a generic email saying my application was not successful. Most likely I'm over qualified and people where I work were saying they were looking for kids mostly to fill summer positions anyway. After the kids go back to school, I'll probably get another generic email asking if I'm interested in applying again. Um, no thanks It's time to move on.
Saturday was "Earth Hour," and my wife was saying how they were working in the dark during that time. They still had their computers on. Most of Edmonton was business as usual but I think City Hall was shut down. I think I was having a nap during Earth hour anyway. Some of the guys were talking about it at the meeting last night. I'm not much into that stuff as it is, so it's business as usual around here for me. Earth hour or no Earth hour.
Today I'm out of here about 3pm. I've got 5 hours for today, possibly tomorrow as well, I don't know yet. For the most part this week I'm back to 5-9. I've got some business at the PCN/Northgate on Thursday and my Lodge night is Thursday after the PCN. I'm working Friday and Saturday is a full day and Sunday is Wrestlemania 30. It looks like this week, my hours will be reduced but next week I should be more or less back to normal. Other then that, like I said above not much going on. I'll be launching Tweets of course in between my next blog post. Anyway, that's all for now.

I was at Tim's about 4:20 pm yesterday
so I had a bit of time to get a Tim's decaf and read up on some JFK assassination research.
The more I study the case the more I'm leaning to a conspiracy. I still think Oswald fired some of the shots but they all missed! Shot #1 hit the curb near bystander James Tague. Shot #2 hit the manhole cover left of the limo. Then there's the smoking gun shot, FMJ round fired by accident in the followup car. Then there's the fatal shot fired from the Dal-Tex building. Many witnesses said they heard 4 shots. Oswald fired 2 shots because there was a round still in left in his MC chamber. These rounds were non military issue. Only ce399 was a FMJ military round. That was the so called "magic bullet." Only a FMJ round could come out the way it did.
My shift at work yesterday was ok. I think I got 6 completions. I got home shortly before Monday night Raw. What a show and that's where I am now and after the show ended.
Anne scheduled the "junk to the landfill" guy to come by and pick up the appliances for 7:30-8pm tonight. I hope when I come home, the dishwasher will be gone. I'll rest easy after the "inspectors" give us the green light Thursday.
I'm thinking Saturday after work, just to unwind is to take $20 with me to Century casino by Belvedere station, have a beer and play the penny slots for a couple of hours. I never could before because my wife would always like to call me but that was when she had a half hour break. She gets 10 minutes ans says she doesn't have enough time to call me. Its just a chance to unwind a bit. I'd only go a couple times/month. if I can cash out ahead, all the better. I've never been in a casino before.
I got a busy week next week what with our lodge EC meeting Sunday then I have a Doctors appointment Wednesday and my Lodge meeting Thursday and I'm going to try and follow the NHL free agency trade March 5th. Anyway, that's all for now.

The Big event that has my interest
is the JFK assassination. It being the 50th anniversary of the assassination weekend. I was 10 years old when that went down. I recall how, while I was at "Miller park" school just 11 years old when the Principle made the announcement. I didn't know who the President was. For me it was a chance to get off school early. When I got home my mom had it on television I remember how preoccupied she was. I remember "watching" bits of the funeral procession. I was just 11 years old, I didn't know anything. Hard to believe that was 50 years ago.
So some of the Greenpeace "activists" known as "The Arctic 30," have been released from detainment in Russia lately. "The 30" in case you missed it invaded a Russian artic oil rig jeopardizing the safety of its workers. The others "activists" are being held and about to meat their fate today. I hope Russian Law throws the book at them. Then yesterday there were 2 other Greenpeace activists scaling the Biosphere in Montreal. They face mischief charges for placing a banner saying "Free the arctic 30." It wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't environmentalists that were behind the recent train derailments Alberta out to make a point.
Renowned psychic Sylvia Browne passed away yesterday at the age of 77. She was a regular guest on Coast. Anyway, that's all for now.

November is a special month for me
because it being Remembrance day for one, and a long weekend. Also it is the month in which US President John Kennedy was assassinated. Its also step up night in the Lodge. The Oiler's are on a long road trip because of the CFR rodeo and it's the CFL Grey Cup playoffs winding down to the Grey Cup November 23rd. November 23rd is chalk full of all kinds of things going on.
This November is especially interesting because it's the 50th anniversary of the assassination of US President John Kennedy, often referred to as JFK. I'm no expert but I've done a fair bit of reading on the topic. Just the back story alone leading up to that tragic day in Dallas is amazing. It almost rivals the event of the assassination itself! We can start with Oswald's defection to Russia in 1953, then the General Walker murder attempt of April 10th 1963. Then on August 9 1963 Oswald gets arrested in New Orleans in a fight by anti-Castro Cubans as he was handing out pamphlets as secretary of the New Orleans chapter of the Fair Play for Cuba Committee. Then there's Oswald's exit out of the Texas Schoolbook depository building (often refered to as TSBD) after the assassination. Then the murder of Police officer JD Tippit shortly after Kennedy is shot, and the flight after that which led up to Oswald's arrest in the Texas theater. If that's not enough there's the shooting of Oswald by Jack Ruby as Oswald was being transferred to the Dallas Jail. There were subplots as well, like the Payne's that looked after Oswald's estranged wife Maria and the stuff going on at the TSBD. Even the rifle alegedly used by Oswald has it's own fascinating story. There's the Secret Service controversy in the operating room at Parkland hospital. That in itself is mind boggling. Then there's the Warren Commission on the Assassination of JFK a year later, and the Church committee's limited report on the assassination and then in 1978 The House Select Committee on JFK not to mention the movie JFK by Oliver Stone and the Assassination Records Review Board of the Clinton administration. Plus the many theories and books about the topic. The JFK assassination is a big story with so many twists and turns and side plots. Its the murder mystery of the ages. Which all of the above leads up to a documentary Anne and I were watching released this year "The Smoking gun." The premise of the documentary puts forward that Service Service Agent George Hickey in the follow up car behind the limousine accidentally let off a round by a assault rifle he held in the followup car. There's photographic evidence of Hickey holding the assault rifle prior to the fatal shot. The accidental "Hickey shot" was the shot in Kennedy's back that caused all those wounds called "The magic bullet." The fatal shot. The exit wound is always larger then the entrance wound. The exit wound was up and behind the right ear. The fatal shot then would have had to come above the left ear to cause a exit wound on the back right side. Meaning to say the shot came from the other side of the limousine. Or a frontal shot above the hairline above the right eye to blow out the area of the head up and behind the right ear. Some witnesses said they smelled gun smoke at street level. First shot misses and hits the curb where James Tague was standing. Second shot was an accident in reaction to the first shot by Secret Service agent Hickey from behind in the follow up car. The fatal shot had to be from behind or in that area of the picket fence that hit Kennedy above the eye by the hairline causing the blow out exit wound in the back. I believe that one shot came from the TSBD but it missed and hit the curb.
I'm enjoying my day off and we're going to have our Sunday brunch today. A home made burger and fries are on the menu for tonight.
I'm off tomorrow and after we get this thing with the repairs/inspection done, I'm changing into my suit and tie and heading out to Lodge.
The rest of this week is just a regular work week. My only out is tomorrow night. I've got some memory work coming up for our next meeting. Other then that I'm working Wednesday-Saturday. Sunday we have a Lodge practice. Anyway, that's all for now.

I'm on the phone this afternoon trying to reach my contact but that failed to connect
and it's been derailed until later this morning.
On Coast this morning the topic is JFK! About time something good crops up from this show but I support this theory.
Then Anne gets up and says she has bad news. Our green budgie bird Chippie died. We had him now for almost 2 years. We lost 3 birds in about 5 years. Just as we're trying to come to grips with this, I get a phone call from the office. I've got x2 5 hour shifts and a 7.5 hour shift added on for this week. That's for this week. At least that's good news. I'm off Saturday/Sunday. But Friday's shift means, I miss the Eskimo game. So I'm in the office and then just before shift starts I get some more bad news: The quota's are back and if we don't make quota we could be sent home. In all my 13 years at my other job I've never been in a position like this. I think I was sent home once and that wasn't because of the boss but because of the manager. Now it's Déjà vu all over again. Not even during my previous job's "ghetto projects" cold calling in a recession was I ever sent home. Sure I had low totals but we were always of the premiss "as long as the effort is there." On one hand I get the hours but on the other it could cost me. So I didn't even take a break because every call was important. I got a "pick it up" warning and I ended up with just a bit shy of quota. I told my wife this when I got home and she said she's getting me an application where she works. I'm going to try for at least 1 day/week there so I can at least get my foot in the door. Earlier I said $10/hour jobs anymore just don't cut it? I'd rather work $10 steady then $11.54 and the stress part time and 2-3 shifts here and there.
City paving crews are finally out there getting our side of the street done. Hopefully it's going to be a quiet weekend for a change. Anyway, that's all for now.
