Since Thursday night after work

I've had 4 days of toothache pain and living on pills for pain relief. First a tooth on my left side went abscessed, then a tooth (or what was left of one) on my right side caused me some discomfort. Monday morning about 6am the pills I took were not working. Usually they kick in about an hour. I was up for most of the morning. The discomfort on my right side is a burning kind of pain. I took some cold diet cola and after about 2 glasses of this the burning pain eased off. By 10am I was ready for bed. I slept until about 1:30pm. I felt no toothache pain from 10am until just now, except I feel a bit of toothache pain returning. I'm going to take the pills right now, just in case it takes another 3 hours before they kick in again.

About 5pm (we're talking Monday) Anne bought me back a Wendy's Baconator combo just before Monday night Raw. No toothache problems all night. Even right now I feel alright but there is a bit of pain lurking. I'll be in bed by 3am, well that's the idea.

At the moment I'm fasting because I have some blood work to do at the lab downtown off of Bay station this afternoon. Then down to my Doctors on the floor below the lab to check on my appointment because I didn't write it down in my calendar. I think its for Thursday but I just want to make sure before I head home. This time I'm going to go in with a bladder that really needs to be relieved because the lab always needs a bladder sample. After that its back home to make a call to the boss to see what I've got for work coming up, if anything. If I don't get a positive answer then I guess I'll be resorting to plan B, whatever that means. I'm just making it up as I go along here. Anyway, that's all for now.

Finally, we're getting some badly needed rain here

in the Edmonton area, but it eased off a few hours ago. More rain is in the forecast over the next few days. I like days like this because it reminds me of back in the day we used to get a lot more rain in Edmonton. It's an El Nino year but I'd rather live here in Edmonton then anywhere else: Here's what I mean and Ian's photos is a small part of this great city I call, home.

In a way I knew something like this was going to happen to me this weekend: The left side of my face is swollen due to a rotted tooth in my lower jaw. I took something Joyce gave me a few weeks ago when I thought I had something then, but that was a false alarm. Anne said she had some Tylenol for me but I thought maybe the worst is over. Then it flared up on me last night, that's when I reached for the oral gel and the pain re leaver. Surprisingly after about 9pm, that worked great. Then the pain flared up again about 4am. I tossed and turned in bed, and decided to take the last pill and a bit of the oral gel. That didn't help much. I went to the couch put the TV on for some repose. I had Skippy on the arm rest beside me and Silky to my left to keep me company. Other then a bit of swelling I feel a bit better. Every time I get dental pain like this my mouth fills up with saliva. This is going to be with me the whole weekend and a bit into next week. I'm just over a year from pension and I'll be able to apply for pensioner's medical benefits. Then I'll go through short term pain to have my teeth removed (whats left of them) and I won't have to put up with this crap any more. Yet life goes on.

At the moment I'm trying to enjoy a cup of coffee. Other then the above, I feel ok. I have 4 days off. Hopefully, when I call in Tuesday I'll have Tuesday off and I get a few weeks of work in to help cover for July. Before Anne leaves for her shift tonight, I'm going to hit her up for that Tylenol. At the moment, 12:30pm. I feel fine. Just a bit of toothache pain. Anyway, that's all for now.

I had a bit of relief

from my dental pain earlier. if it persists throughout the day, then tonight after work I'm going into the medi clinic to get some 292's or something.

So North Korea is on the verge of trying to incite a nuclear war. It seems that they have 2 missiles ready to launch but weather they are armed is anyone's guess. The US has anti missile defenses in the area to knock anything down. Many think that Kim Jong's military posturing is a show to win support over the N.Korean military. Anything is possible but what if those missiles are armed with nukes aimed at say South Korea or Tokyo?

This is interesting. A mysterious stone structure found beneath Sea of Galileea The circular structure was first detected in a sonar survey of part of the sea in the summer of 2003.Rising nearly 32 feet (10 meters) high, it has a diameter of about 230 feet (70 meters). To put that in perspective, the outer stone circle of Stonehenge has a diameter just half that with its tallest stones not reaching that height. It appears to be a giant cairn, rocks piled on top of each other. Structures like this are known from elsewhere in the world and are sometimes used to mark burials. Researchers do not know if the newly discovered structure was used for this purpose. The above excerpt is from this site.

I didn't go out to Lodge last night opting to stay in although I'm considering Lodge tonight. I'm not sure yet depends on this dental pain I'm going through and I've got some memory work to do yest so I might just come home work on that instead, depends on how I feel.

Sigh, the Oiler's are on another losing streak, again.Thisis their 4th straight loss and their playoff picture isn't looking good. Matter of fact it looks dim! They have 8 games left, there is still a pulse beat. The good news is that 6 out of the 8 games are at the Rex. Also earlier yesterday City council approved the master agreement. They will put in 50% of the missing $100M if the Province puts in the rest but the Province has always said "no" to these kinds of things. Why not just take the other $50M out of the "Winter garden" portion of the arena and build that latter? It's almost a no brainier. I mean isn't the arena more important the "Winter garden?" Anyway, that's all for now.

My toothace pain is reduced down to a dull mumer

but I called in to cover my butt and I'm still sleeping in and going to Lodge. A previous colleague where I used to work gave me a left over tube of Orajel, which helps a bit. I usually get toothache pain maybe twice a year.

This week the world lost actress Annette Funicello who died at the age of 70 from complications of MS. Her husband was her care giver. Annette Funicello was just 10 years older then me,sad. Also, the man known as Raveen also passed away.complications from diabetes and dementia at the age of 77, said his daughter-in-law Cathy Raveen.” As a youth he was a stage magician, but he later studied hypnosis and developed a show that emphasized audience engagement.

I think what I'd like to do when I retire in 4 years is to work at my current job 3 days/week (evenings) and enjoy my time off what little I have left.

Tonight is Lodge night as I'm heading out to Mystic tie Lodge to visit and promote our upcoming event. Then I got a Lodge practice on Sunday, the Lodge next Thursday and next Saturday as well. Anyway, that's about all for now.
