off during the holidays. I'm going to work on my lodge stuff and finish that beat I've been working on this last fall. Also, I'm going to finish reading "Agent to the Stars," before the end of the year. I'll be staying up late and sleep in late.
I've always been fascinated by Leggo since the original Star Wars movie. They keep coming out with bigger and better concepts. Their latest is something I'd like to tinker around with. The Doctor Who Leggo should have came out a long time ago but time is relative. Some people are making stop motion sequences to tell stories with Leggo figures. I kind of like this idea but the Leggo kits cost a lot of money.
Anne is working from 2-8pm today so I get some time off by myself. Next week, I'm going to be separating our shared iOS devices. I need Air Drop on her iPad so I can transfer a lot of her video onto my iPod where I have more memory. That's another project. Anyway that's all for now.

Welcome to my Blog. Anne and I live here in Clareview Edmonton Alberta, with our 2 cats etc. This blog is about my life, rants, politics, books, music production, Sports, some gaming, Freemasonry and some WTF-ish moments that give me pause. Feel free to contact me on my Twitter feed or YouTube channel Shannon on Sounds. Thanks for dropping by

There's been way too many of these types of
incidents where clumsy people inadvertently wreck valuable objects of art. Its not necessarily the perpetrators at fault here. The real blame is with the careless way these objects are displayed and exposed by the very venues themselves. To get more of what I'm talking about go here.
Forest fires close to the Canadian boarder in Washington state are causing complications in Southern Alberta. So much so that the City of Calgary has issued a health advisory warning. Even the Calgary Stampeders football club were having trouble on the practice field yesterday. With a full moon out tonight the moon, thanks to the fires will be almost blood red.
I'm not a huge TV watcher. I might do 15-20 hours a week. Now that I have this time off I'm watching more CFL football. Looks like I'll be watching a bit more TV because this Saturday on Space, begins the new season of Doctor Who. We missed last season due to work that sort of thing. I hope to catch more episodes this year then last year.
In my current line of work, I'm like a contractor. I have a job but there's just a shortage of work until the next project. What do most contractors do between contracts? They go on ei and wait by the phone or call to see if anything is is happening. That's essentially what I'm doing now. So today I'm calling the office to get a update. If there's no answer then I'll go in on my own about 8pm to see if anyone I know is leaving the building around closing time. Then go in the next day. I'm sending my resume out again today. Anyway, that's all for now.

A slight change of plans for today
I'm getting my hair cut across the street in the morning and then a trip downtown and then Northgate, Friday. I'll do the unemployment thing possibly Monday. In the meantime I have a little shoe fly buzzing around here. I think that spray banished it.
Saturday I'm on the couch watching the Stamps/Esks for last weekends rubber match. Also, the Esks have unveiled their 3rd jersey and sporting new helmets. I'm Looking forward to having the Esks bring the Stamps to their own 8-2 record.
When Anne called from work on her break I was able to catch a Doctor Who episode with the new Doctor Peter Capaldi: "Into the Dalek." I must admit, I like him and Jenna Coleman played along side him and they looked like they worked very well together. I thought the episode was very good. I didn't get all of it but the episode last night was right up there with anything Matt Smith could have done. Other then Wrestling, it's the only current thing on TV I can relate to.
Sunday I have a lodge practice at Highlands Hall at 7pm. Next Friday is lodge night. Four more meetings and I'm done. After that, I'm just a bum in a chair, and I'm looking forward to that in the new year. Anyway, that's all for now.

For most of last night
I’ve been having a hell of a time trying to get Anne an email and then it dawned on me that since I already had Gmail and Yahoo mail accounts on my desktop, I was without a yahoo email account on my laptop. I got that set up for Anne but I’m having a hell of a time with Apple ID but I’m closing in on it. I’ll get her up and running shortly.
Just as an after thought actor Jack Klugman died Christmas Eve from throat cancer. Klugman played Oscar Madison next to Tony Randal as Felix in the Odd couple. I remember seeing the Broadway production of the first episode as it was on tour and I saw them on stage. That would have been 1976, a few months after that I migrated to Calgary to find work. But the show didn't feature Klugman as Oscar, I believe that was with Walter Matthau. Walter Matthau died 12 years ago. The Odd Couple, Mash, All in the family, we don't have shows like that today. With all of this politically correct bs a show like All in the family would never get by the sensors. I don't think I never heard Archie used the N word for (Jefferson). The Odd Couple never went that direction but Hollywood and they're politically correct obsession would probably (if the show were produced today) have made one of the roommates Asian or something. My only beef when it comes to Hollywood casting like this is the show was conceived as it was, if Hollywood made a remake of The odd Couple by tinkering with it to appease this political correct climate nobody cares about, would ruin the show. That's one thing I didn't like when Marvel changed the character of Nick Fury agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. Hate to break the news to you kids, but Nick Fury originally in the Marvel comics was "Sargent Fury and his Howling Commandos." Look it up. Nick Fury was a white man not a black man. When David Hasselhoff played Nick Fury (1998) last time I checked I don't think Mr. Hasselhoff went from white to black in a decade. No disrespect to Samuel L. Jackson. He played an excellent version of Nick Fury and I think he did a great job in that role but casting of the movie Iron Man in 2008 was an obvious move to appease the politically correct climate plaguing us to this day. I'm happy when I was watching sitcoms back in the 1970's we didn't have this politically correct bs. Partially why these days I don't watch that much TV. How about this pc scenario: James Bond after Daniel Craig will be a Jamaican Bond with a British accent. I'm just sayin.
Coast 2 Coast this morning is about Christmas movies but the next half of the show is about the Urantia. I did a brief study about this curiosity some 20 years ago. With about 2000 pages and going through a bit of it myself, kind of went over my head. At least Ched is back to normal. Tonight the show on Coast is about “Planet X.”
We just came off of watching the latest Doctor Who Christmas special “The Snowmen.” This was a great special. I liked this one better then last years and I hope they keep the supporting cast. On a scale from 1-10, I’d rate this a 9.
Earlier before I got into getting Anne an Apple ID I set myself up a Sound cloud account. I even set up a mobile app for it but it doesn’t look like the app is that well received.
Today being Boxing day is going to be a madhouse out there. If I had any Boxing day funds I’d wait until Friday for the end of Boxing day week.
As for me, I’m relaxing over the next couple of days as I don’t think I’ll be heading out anywhere until Saturday. Anyway, that’s all for now.

Added to my links
list were "Movies 12" just down here off of 50th street and "Empire Cinemas." Anne's trying to find out if my Scotia Scene cards 4 movies can be redeemed at either of these 2 movie theaters nearby. other then "Looper" coming up there isn't a lot out there I'd like to see.
I took the train to Rexall and got to street level to wait for my bus. I had my book to read for a brief wait to the Lodge and there was a truck there. Mike was there and said something "like lets go inside," Um, sure but I didn't have a key. Dan has my key. He told me that the only ones that were to have a key from our Lodge were JW, SW, WM. Dan said that only the 3 main officers should have a key. He said that since I'm always getting a ride with Neil I really don't need a key so I gave it to him. As vehicles were filing in we tried to get the building custodian's phone number but nobody had it until we managed to get it from someone and made the call and ten minutes later John came along but he never said anything to me about it. I thought when I got there that Mike (SW) had the key. We got inside and had a productive meeting that lasted for about an hour and a half. We got all the chairs filled. Nathan gave me a lift home and I was in by 8:45pm.
I was considering heading in for work tomorrow for the 5-9 shift but that would have cut my weekend short and I want to sleep in a bit tomorrow and work on my demo song for a bit
Only one of my CFL picks came through for me this weekend. All the Home teams won including the Riders/Montreal. Montreal won.
Just before I headed out while having our brunch, Anne and I were watching Doctor Who "A town called mercy," was excellent. I love it. Here's a teaser from the show:
This is the best science fiction television going. I'd love to see a Doctor who silver screen movie with these characters, it'd be awesome.
Anne's going to try out my Scene movie card tomorrow at Movies 12 and if it works, I'll wait until "Looper" comes out. Anyway, that's about all I have for now.

Two days off is
more then enough. Theoretically I could go in for tonight for the 5-9 shift but I need 2 days off after a full week.
Earlier yesterday I was working on a track in Cubase. I was able to use Garageband and cut a couple of vocal tracks and they show up in vari audio just fine but I couldn’t figure where the metronome in Cubase was coming from. Then I realized I had it turned On in GB. I’ve also got to redo the Wav files because I missed a bit of a step.
The topic on Coast tonight is about how media is lying to the public. I think lying is a strong word here. I think its more not making available all the news that’s fit to print. For example I watch CTV news and they have out of a 1 hour broadcast their first hour is the National and International news. Then a half hour of local news. Local news they cover news, weather and sports. After commercials etc, there isn’t a lot of room to cover the more exotic stories. But Jim Marrs usually talks about conspiracy theories and that’s the angle he usually comes from. But if an alien space craft lands on the white house lawn and says, “take me to your leader.” You can bet that’s going to be front page news. But your not going to get X-files stuff on CTV, ABC or maybe Fox news or CNN.
Sigh, another controversial headline grabbing book out there. First it was Harry Potter for kids. Then recently it’s Hunger Games for teenagers. Now it’s 50 shades of Grey for women but its mostly about erotic fiction type of thing. What‘s with all of these books appealing to specific demographic markets lately?
Not much is going on this week. It‘s a full 37.5 work week ahead. I‘m trying to save up for the Komplete 8 package as LM has it for just under $600. I figure at $75/week, I should have it by about mid July.
The other day Matt Smith (Doctor Who) carried the Olympic torch for the Summer 2012 Olympic games. I’m not big on the Summer games but I do like the winter games because of the hockey. It was nice to see Smith though to carry the torch. Anyway, that’s all I have for today.

I'm having a decent day off today
today hoping I can upload my first YouTube video. According to Wiki, YouTube gets about 100,000 uploads of video each day! That's a lot of video. If this works, I'll post a link on my Blogger blog maybe even insert the video as well.
Anne's out at the veggie market today. Someone last night while she was working stole some eggs from their lunch room fridge at her place of work. Her place of work (I wont say the name) are a bunch of scumbags. They wont put in security cameras in the lunchroom. Our place doesn't either but they removed the whole fridge. We're getting cameras installed eventually. The boss says they have them in Vancouver and Calgary. Anne knows a lot better now not to leave anything in that fridge. The other thing is her place of employment posts on the white board when her breaks are. Yeah like that helps out a lot. They do this for everyone and with 40+ people working there on any given night they know when she takes her breaks to go in and help themselves and place it in their tote bags.
I had 2 numbers on my 6/49 ticket last night. If I had the bonus number I would have won $5. Last week I won $10. I usually win small amounts like that. I've never had anything like 4 numbers or anything like that.
Thanks to a pointer from SF Signal Data Blog has posted a spreadsheet of every TV Doctor Who villain. They don't go into the villain's in the over 300 Doctor Who books or anything. Its a pretty good spreadsheet. You can head over to Data Blogs Flicker Group and check it out there as well.
Speaking about Doctor Who, its on at 5pm on Space. I'll be glad when we get that PVR so I can watch all this stuff. The thing with the router/modem combo might have the same problem as in our ISP's existing wifi all-in-one: They let you hook up a laptop and that's it. We've got 4 other wifi enabled devises here and I need them through Bluetooth to talk with the router/modem. If we can get everything working together then I can get onto Xbox live and start playing some of those other games other then Oblivion.
Ok now that the batteries are charged and Anne's out lets shoot this video. Anyway, that's all for today.
