Its been an easy week

what with work and all. Leave out of here at 3pm in by 4pm, 5 hours and 1 hour travel commute home, Tuesday through Friday.  The only deviation was Thursday when I went to Best buy across the street for my Logitech C270 webcam. Other then that, not much else going on. 

Some friends of mine are traveling to Winnipeg, where they will be there for a couple of weeks on summer vacation. The weather in Eastern Canada has been making headlines. Earlier this week I said how this heat wave was nothing like in 2010. Excuse me? So far the heat wave has been responsible for the deaths of 50 people! And here I am with my petulant whining about it being +30 yesterday afternoon. At the moment its +17, which is a bit better.

Anne ordered us Pizza/Pizza with her staff discount. Mine was good but she had too have hers returned for a replacement. Stingy green peppers.

So this afternoon I'm following the Esks at Toronto Argo's. Ricky Ray got injured. its a 3:30pm start. Anyway, that's all for now.

Anne came up with the idea that it would be nice to

order a Maximus pizza. We might have 2/3rds of the rent covered and the balance in 2 weeks for July, could we justify a luxury like that? I was reluctant but ok since I had enough to pay for it. It was a 2 for one 10 inch. I have half of it left for later.

This referendum in the UK about to take place today reminds me of the Yes/No 51+ Quebec referendum in 1995. A yes vote basically said Quebec would leave confederation (Canada). I was really right into this at the time watching the nail biting drama about to unfold. Oh no, what if this breaks up the country? It would spell disaster. I voted No. Quebec must remain part of Canada. Knowing what I know now about the Billions $ Quebec receives in form of Transfer payments every year from Alberta, I would have voted Yes for Quebec to leave. If such a Quebec referendum to leave Canada occurs again inspired by the British referendum now underway, I'd vote yes, leave. If such a referendum occurred to leave Canada it would be over this notion Quebec has of being a distinct society. In that case Yes, leave and don't let the door hit your butt on the way out. These types of referendums are one shot affairs.    

I'm up at 10am tomorrow morning to get ready to leave for my job interview. I have no expectations. I'll be leaving out of here about 11am bring my book. Its a bit West of Kingsway Mall. Another call came in yesterday and I got that number to call as well. If I leave with nothing, I'm ok with that. Anyway, that's all for now.

Star Wars the force awakens has reached over

$1.760B dollars and that's just at the box office. And that's just in its initial release. And it hasn't even hit the dollar theatres or video on demand (vod) yet. Merchandising is going to propel profits through the roof. I've been hearing that the movie is very loud, which is kind of turning me off from seeing it. I'll wait until it comes to video on demand where we can adjust the volume at home.

On Coast this morning the topic is artificial intelligence or A/I (ai) as its referred to. It is similar to Transhumanisim. . 

 

What is Transhumanisim? In a Wiki nutshell: Transhumanism (abbreviated as H+ or h+) is an international and intellectual movement that aims to transform the human condition by developing and creating widely available sophisticated technologies to greatly enhance human intellectual, physical, and psychological capacities. It is not to be confused with Secular Humanism. I've done a bit of reading on the topic of Transhumanism over the years. There are quite a few Transhumanism videos on YouTube. Artificial Intelligence and Transhumanism are two different things. 

Yesterday I was able to contact a job lead and I send a resume out there to them. Well sort of as my email kept bouncing. My contact said ok to copy and paste it in the email. They'll look my resume over and if they are interested, they'll call me for a interview. I'm trying to get out of this market research job and get into something that's more steady. I'm sure after Saturday they probably hope I find something else as well. I'm in 4:15pm-8:30pm at my other job today. We're having a bit of a Pizza party. Now watch, they'll order 2 meat pizzas and 6  vegetarian pizzas and nobody will eat the vegi pizzas. I'll be lucky if I get one slice. Anyway, that's all for now.
