lately because of the time off I've had. Other wise, I'd be blogging maybe 2-3 times/week. When I get to work 3 times a week, I'll blog more frequently. It's not for lack of content, its just I go through various phases of busy and lax times. This is a lax time, so I'm blogging more. Well, you get it.
I don't usually talk to much about credit. Its too personal. Most of you reading this probably know about the recent breech of Equifax this week. I've never used the service, I just know my credit karma score is well above 650. I'm sure that's the next target for hackers. The Canadian Auto Association has said ~ 10,000 of its clients have had their data compromised, and ~143 million people in the US have had their accounts compromised. That's almost half the population of the US. Cyber security is a huge issue. Maybe everything should be kept offline for things like that.
Last March I got Novation Circuit on an account at my music store, to not only build credit but also to shore up my relationship with the store so when I want more gear. I'm finding Circuit to be rather limited and the devices initial luster is wearing off. Too bring new life into Circuit, I'm going to be pairing it with other gear. Right now I'm waiting for Electron's new Mk2 devices to come out. I'd like to get the Octatrack, which could be my next account. As for Circuit, I'm hoping they will release another firmware update before the end of the year. Some firmware updates I'd like to see is tempo change per patterns, more sample time, a looper for each engine, muting individual patterns etc.
This afternoon the Eskimo's are in Toronto. Its a 2pm game. This is where our 4 game losing streak comes to an end. If we lose today, this will be the worst Eskimo team in franchise history and after we started off with a 7-0 season. To be fare we've had more injuries then any other team in the CFL. Some people are attributing the injuries to the artificial turf. We used to have grass even during practice. Anyway, that's all for now.

One thing I'm not going to miss when
I'm on full pension is getting up early to go into work. I'm aiming for a 4 day work week. Anne even agreed with the same thing. After this session with my market research job working Saturday's will be a thing of the past. After this session, that will be it for me drawing ei. Being on pension has its benefits, apparently. But at least I don't need to hide amongst the bushes.
Yesterday I was making my May payment on my Novation Circuit. I had about an hour to waste so I went to the keyboards section right away. I was surprised that they finally have modular Eurorack products in for sale. They had a double rack mount system by Doepher connected to the Arturia Drumbrute. The case is a bit pricey at $800 but once the initial investment is out of the way, the module strips are very affordable. I'm considering a double case possibly for next year and build a Eurorack system as part of my studio set up. At the store I was able to get a bit of a hands on experience with the Moog Mother 32 (m32). Its a cute boutique synth complete with patch bay etc. Even that was going through the Drumbrute. The m32 is priced around $800. I could either put an account on it or a couple of cheques later and its mine. But again next year. I thought about adding the Zoom audio recorder onto my Circuit account but at the minimum down payment my monthly account would have climbed to $48 and I only had enough on me for the payment and not enough for the device. After a fun bit of time there, I headed a block away to my bus stop and after a wait there was my #3 that took me to 124th/107 Ave.
Today is the last Saturday of the 2017 campaign at my job on Calgary trail. Next Saturday is the Victoria day long weekend. I defiantly won't get paid for the stat pay at from my Southside job but I could get it from my market research job but not expecting it. Anne's got me a fried egg sandwich and potato paddies to heat up and I'll have that before I feed the cats and head out of here. When I get home about 3:30pm Anne will make me something, I'll ave a nap, watch a bit of hockey and work on a beat or something tonight. Anyway, that's all for now.

I woke up out of bed just before
noon. Other then multiple bathroom trips, I had a good sleep. The trips to the bathroom are because I drink a lot of fluids before bed. I'm slowly cutting that down. I think I had a good 8 hours of sleep, that and I dozed on the couch watching the hockey game and about an hours worth of sleep in bed.
When I get pension and back to work, one of the first pieces of gear I want to get is a portable synth/music production system called the OP-1. Its about the size of a quarty keyboard including the F keys. Its even got a keyboard and can record off of it. It has a built in microphone for sampling, a nice screen and lots of effects. The OP-1 has 4 tracks and has room for user samples and a external speaker. I think it even has an aux in port. It's portable and can be used anywhere. Of course it has full transport control. Its an amazing machine. There's lots of YouTube video's on this device but its a bit expensive at $800 cdn. None of the major retailers here stock it. If they did, it'd be about $1,000. Its on my wish list for sure.
What with it being mothers day today, I shared a pic of mom on my Facebook page. Anne is still sleeping. I think this afternoon before brunch she's going out to get her flowers for the balcony. I'm at my 8:30pm job Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Wednesday morning I have a 11am to get some insulin. Thursday Friday and Saturday, I'm at the other place. I'm hoping I can get 35 hours in this week. My week ahead is steady. Happy mothers day everyone. Anyway, that's about all for now.
