My hearing is slowly returning

as I'm now able to hear my wife. I'm still congested, but I'm good to go if I get word of a project soon. I could use another 50 hours between now and when work resumes.

Mics for my music production hobby have always been hit-and-miss for me. I'm considering a gaming headphone/mic setup. I'm off and on researching these. I'd like a headphone/mic with a detachable USB/3/8ths/XLR cable combination.

This morning I'm going to set up my iPad for another video. I bought Combuster a few days ago. It's another app sound mangler.

Healthcare Solutions hadn't called me back yesterday at noon. Most likely they need to confer with AADL about my compression stockings, and where I am in how many I'm supposed to get. I have 2 pair here. One,  I couldn't fit into, the other I had to buy. I'm wearing these now. Anyway, that's all for now.

Yesterday despite the fiasco with the stockings,

turned out ok in the end. When I was at London Drugs I was almost going to invest in the Sigma wide-angle lens. The one on sale was the one I was interested in but not if it was the cinematic lens. "Does this lens have zoom?" I asked the clerk, "Nope." Not the lens I want. I saved $500. I didn't get the screen protector because they needed me to have my camera.

When I first began going to Healthcare Solutions (HCS) at Northgate on that fateful day, April 7th, 2018, It was to get compression stockings and to meet someone I thought was an old friend after. The lady that did the fittings suggested for $10 I get these rubber-coated gloves to help pull up the stockings. I quickly learned I didn't need them. Anne never tossed them out. I'm grateful for that because they are now very useful. As for my old friend, she ended the friendship. Not that I did anything inappropriately but it was my fault she ended the friendship. But it's all good. The important thing is the stockings are ok.

After yesterday, I'm not going anywhere, although I might go back to London Drugs for my screen protector.  Anyway, that's all for now.

I got up early to go to

healthcare solutions, Northgate. Someone did my fittings again but said that my last pair was on June 1st the last time. That's not what I was told on June 1st. My next cycle starts September 20th, so I had to buy a pair at full price or wear go-through holes in stockings for 12 weeks, possibly getting a blood clot. I bought a pair of what I thought were of equal size etc.

So I headed over to London Drugs across the street to see about getting a screen protector for my Sony ZV-E10 camera for $10. They said I needed my camera.

I decided to tell Anne about my ordeal from earlier and shit hit the fan. So I got onto hcs and I was directed to the call centre. I explained my situation and they said I'm entitled to 2 more pair. Same as what the lady told me on June 1st. So, the lady at the Northgate location said she will call ADL and find out what's going on. What a mess. Anyway, that's all for now.

We feel that it is wax buildup causing

some of my hearing loss. I can hear ok on YouTube etc but the television needs to be at ~ 60% volume for me to pick up anything at all. Before bed it was eardrops. Not sure if they work at all. My Doctor helped last year with this and If this isn't cleared up by Thursday, I'll be making yet another visit next week.

At least if anything the weather is good as we approach Canada Day Saturday, July 1st.  Our weather now:

We don't do anything on Canada Day. It's mostly (imo) a family event.

The first half of yesterday's Argo's/Elks game was good 18-17. Scoring first was nice but after that, it was all Argo's. Turnovers did us in. There was the blocked punt, Argo's scored on, Horse collar, fumbling the ball on the 1-yard line, etc. We made the score respectable near the end 42-31 Argo's. Next up Friday in Ottawa. Anyway, that's all for now.

Its game day today at Commonwealth

as the Toronto Argonauts are in town. We got to start winning some games. This team needs to show some pride. Yesterday, the Riders won 29-26 over Calgary in OT at McMahon Stadium. Game time is 5pm

My Loopmix/Glitchcore video got 20 views 5 comments and 8 likes within its first 24 hours. Not too shabby.

I have a video idea in mind for Fl. Studio next time. My project for the week

Anne thinks it's wax buildup in my ear's causing me some hearing loss. I hope that's the case. I'll be making another appointment this week for that. Anyway, that's all for now.

What a beautiful morning

out there. No rain like last Saturday. Not like that's a bad thing. Summer is so short around here.

Not that every day is Costco Friday, but they have great hot dogs and fries. I think it's a hot dog fries/drink for about $2.

This afternoon at 5pm, I'm watching the Argo's/Elks CFL game at Commonwealth. I'm looking forward to this game. I think we're going to win this one. Anyway, that's all for now.

Yesterday, Anne and I headed out of here shortly

after 1pm, we caught the bus to Clareview and then the train to Bay Station for her. I went to Corona station and bought her a large coffee like she asked, a small one for me, and a Boston cream donut. I was surprised to find out her to be gone for over an hour. She said that her doctor wanted to do a physical.

After that, we caught the train to Southgate and boarded the #704 to the AMA there. Anne wanted to get her dinner at Olive Garden not far away. I waited for another half hour. We walked over to iHop when we probably should have gone to the "ToysR Us" store direction.

IHop wasn't that busy as the supper crowd was just getting in. I had the breakfast scrambler. Anne had the senior's version. We like this location because it's easier to get to than the North side location we went to 2 years ago. The #704 we caught back to Southgate was a long bus ride.

Next up, Anne wants to go to the upcoming Mission Impossible movie and before that "5 Guys," burger franchise. We got the #104 at Coliseum station after a brief wait. We were home at 7pm. That was 6 hours for me. no way, after that am I going to go to Healthcare Solutions Thursday. I'll go Friday/Saturday. Not sure yet.

The other good thing yesterday, I was able to get over 6000 steps:

That was quite a bit of walking. Tonight is laundry night, and I can work on that video intro for Saturday's video. Anyway, that's all for now.

The new plan today

is to leave out of here at 1pm for Anne's 2pm downtown Doctor's appointment. As she's getting off at Bay station, I'm getting out at Corona. I might pop into Audrey's, and say hello. I used to be a regular there before the pandemic. Anne's going to meet me at Tim's and we can go from there to Southgate #704 to iHop. Steps from yesterday:

It's a race against time to rescue the 5 person crew of the Titan submersible to study the Titanic wreckage. The vessel had ~ 40 hours of breathable air left at 1pm yesterday. The crew inside has been tapping on the inside hull of the Titan, every 3 minutes. Only Sonar can locate their position. This is just what I know so far. More info as of this hour

Normally for the month of June, we get ~ 80mm's worth of rain. We have since Sundays 149mm's worth. or almost 6 inches. Most of the steady rain is done so our outing today should be ok. Anyway, that's all for now.

Anne has a Doctor's appointment at our

shared Doctor Wednesday. She suggested we go together but I can wait in the empty food court below. Another casualty of the pandemic. After that, since we're just off the Capital line LRT, we may as well transfer to the #704 at Southgate and head to IHOP in the South Park shopping centre, next door to the Walmart there. Sounds like a good idea.

Since there is no work, no BoB, and no lodge, this is going to be a dull summer. I can't even go to the North East Seniors Centre since NESA is being shut down for renovation. Since I have no distractions, I may as well Game on my Nintendo Switch, work on my YouTube channel, and watch CFL football.

Speaking of which there was a good article on why coach Chris Jones believes in Taylor Cornelius so much. It's a pretty good article. Anyway, that's all for now.

We don't get a lot of rain here

but June is by far our most rainy month of the year. So much so that yesterday it rained all day, and it's still coming down.

Today, it's a stay-at-home day. Anne and I are planning to go out for dinner sometime this week since work ended Friday. I have more free time. Also, I need another morning visit to get my compression stockings. Hopefully for at least the next 4-6 weeks.

The Elks are on a bye week, so this means they don't play game #3 until next Sunday. However, this Saturday the Riders are playing Calgary. That should be a good one. Anyway, that's all for now.

The project ended

Friday night at 7pm. Let the summer begin. I had my breakfast with the guys yesterday morning. Other than healthcare solutions Monday, and Anne and I going out for a bite to eat, my summer is for myself. Unless (fingers crossed) we get another project.

Yesterday's Elk's/Lions game was an Elks' disaster. Early in the 4th quarter, even commentary was suggesting that if the Elks want to get anything on the board, they better bring in the backup QB because Cornelius wasn't going to get anything done. Jones refused to budge. Finale result: Elks 0 BC Lions 22. The fan base isn't happy. Next week is a bye week so the team gets a break. Argo's are in town next Sunday. Anyway, that's all for now.

Still struggling with this cold, or whatever

it is. My Doctor said that my congestion is the main story here and that I have pink eye. I think he used the term Bronchial conjunctivitis. He gave me an eye drop prescription. I just need to let this work out of my system. I've gone through 12 days of this. My next line of defense is Buckley's. It's harder for me to do the job because I have to work harder and I'm 3 hours instead of 5. Anyway, that's all for now.

Still working through this cold

I've been having very little sleep over the past several days, averaging about 4 hours what with all this coughing. There's something else going on there for this to not letting up since last Saturday.

Will Vegas win the cup on home ice? I was kind of hoping Florida Panthers could win this game tonight to make it 3-2 in the series. I doubt that's going to happen.

I have my 8am, for my 11am Doctors appointment happening for later today. Hopefully, I'll be home before I log in at 4pm. This week I've been working a 4-7pm shift, which is grateful. That'd be great to finish my shift to catch most of my last NHL game for the 2022-24 season. Anyway, that's all for now.

Thursday, June 8, 2023

Back to work after having

Tuesday off. My shift was 3 hours because my voice was collapsing at about 6:45. I'm going to try for 5 hours today. My left eye is now secreting some kind of yeast substance. I've had this happen before during colds.

At 70 years old I don't know how realistic this is to reactivate my OTO membership. It was 31 years ago in December I received my 3rd-degree initiation. I'd like to go for my 4th and just pay my annual dues. idk yet. I think I'd need to go to Vancouver to get my 4th. That's just a weekend jaunt on a return hot wings special.

So hopefully with these hours, I'll be able to pay off my line of credit. Other then that, I feel good. Ready to start at 5pm today. Anyway, that's all for now.

Day 4 of this cold

that took out my voice. I had to have yesterday off but my voice is slowly returning. I'm going to ask Super for 3 hours. If I can do more, great.

We're going to get into a heat wave for the next 7 days or so. I don't mind the heat in short bursts.

I got my last Saturday breakfast meeting until September. How long will I be able to go to this thing? We'll see. It's not my bag man. Anyway, that's all for now.

Saturday, June 3, 2023

Its June already

May sure did drag along, didn't it?

I began work yesterday. It's a good project but wordy. It could end Saturday I figure.

Next week I need to go to Healthcare Solutions to return a pair of stockings that were too tight on me. Other than that, it's just the job all week. Anyway, that's all for now.
