At 4am I knew I was going to be in for

trouble, sleep wise and sure enough I couldn't sleep and when 4:30am rolled around, well at least I'd get 5 hours. I was lucky if I got that and I could use another 6 hours. I'm exhausted at the moment but I got an 8 hour day ahead of me.

I'm thinking maybe I should pick up one of those "5 hour energy" drinks but I heard somewhere they're not that good for diabetics. But after reading a few comments on the forums, nobody is saying anything bad about them. Maybe one sip is all I need but if they cost around $10/per bottle, no. I can see $5 yes.

We're finally getting a little bit of Sun out there after a weekend of overcast (Thursday-Monday)

Whats up with the LA Kings? A last place seeded team in the playoffs taking out the Vancouver CanucksPresidents trophy 1st over all in the league get taken out by the bottom dwellers? They go into Saint Louis and I figure well that was a one hit wonder with Vancouver. Now they're up 2 games to 0 in St. Louis's own building. The way the Kings are going (They've never won a Stanley Cup) could ended up with a sweep with the 2nd seeded team. I think St. Louis though will bounce back in game #3 Wednesday. If though the Kings keep going like they're on 5 hour energy and win all for games and sweep St. Louis in 4, they might go to the finale. It could be LA/Washington. Like I said elsewhere the only time that a Canadian team is ever going to win the Cup will be if there are an even number of teams in the NHL. Say 12 Canadian 12 American teams and to make it truly a National hockey league "league" have the American teams have a cap "like" in the CFL 80% domestic players and 20% Import players. Like that'll ever happen.

Ok time to start packing up my things and getting ready for the day. It's going to be a long one. I'm going to post Twitter tweets through out the day.

If you see some strange text, it's only because my laptop mouse wasn't frozen. Anyway, that's all I have for now..

My wife was just on her way

to work got a call from the vet saying that we can pick up Sparky's ashes anytime so she's going to pick them up this afternoon come home put them in a temp urn for him by his photo. It took them 11 days from the time the Doctor put him down until today so it was really fast. He was cremated separately from the other animals because we paid to have that done. At least we'll get something of hkim back. When his brother Sporty goes and Silky, we'll have an urn for all three of them together in one urn. We'll that's the idea. We also got a sympathy card today as well from the vet and the staff. Very nice. So it's finally over for Sparky and almost for us.

After work this evening in rare circumstance Anne and I get off our jobs at the same time, so she said she'd like to ride home on the train with me. Sounds good.

I got a pen drive from Keith that has the programs for me. I called him as he suggested when I got after the Leaf/Oiler game and he was supposed to call me back after supper but it was kind of late. I don't mind if he wants to wait until the weekend. It's family day weekend. Also Jordan was there this evening and he said that the program he has for me is a compressed full file but I'm still getting a license for Cubase 6 at the end of the month. Anyway, that's all for now.

With my holidays almost over and with

4 days off, so in a sense its almost like a long weekend.

Despite having a cold and sick over the last 10 days I was able to watch some hockey get some reading done and sleep in a bit but all the coughing kept me awake lying down in bed. Lying on the couch I felt a little better. We figured it out that with the humidifier on keeps things warm and dry. I was able to get some sleep.

This morning I was up at 11:00am and out the door by 11:45am in my new coat Anne had bought me for Christmas. It was slippery out there from the freezing rain the day before. I got my pay check including the $150 bonus, which will help. I said my "Happy new years" to everyone at the office and headed out to Audrey's books. I bought my 20th book of the year, "Back to the moon" by Taylor/Johnson. I'll get to it eventually. I went up to my bank did my banking and after paying my ticket missed the first train back to Clairview. The trains were loaded with hockey fans enjoying the World Juniors. I got to my bus stop and as I was getting off there was Anne flagging me down. She went and got us an A&W burger combo. That was 7 hours ago and I'm still full. It was really good. I gave her a little extra because of my bonus money and enjoyed my burger/fries and watched the last 2 periods. Team USA/Chez. Finale outcome was Team USA 2 Chez 5 and tomorrow night is the Oilers and Anne is working all night from 7-9, yikes.

I'm a little bit soured on my Lodge dues. I know we voted on an increase but I didn't think the increase would be until this time next year. It's almost like a cash grab. Kind of cheesy the way the rammed it through, so I'm paying mine at the February communication. There are no penalties for late payment of dues. Other wise I wouldn't be able to take Anne out for our New Years Dinner tomorrow. I've also got it in my calendar Edmonton #7 (2nd Tuesday) at Freemason's Hall is having a crib night, so this is something I want to check out. More then likely I'll post Sunday January 1st. "Happy New Year" everyone. See you in the New Year. Anyway, that's about all for today.
