It took a bit of Googling

but I found  out how to install Roms in my RetroBat Windows 11 software. I just need to map the controller to the game console. Now if I can get indy games installed, excellent.

Tonight, I'll be following the Canes/Vegas game 6. If Carolina wins tonight, they win the Stanley Cup. If Vegas wins they force

a game 7. On one hand, I'd like to see Mitch Marner win the Cup. On the other tonight, ex Oiler Taylor Hall could win. In hockey news, Oilers have not hired a head coach for the 2026-27 season. The plot thickens.

Not much going on this week. I have that DTC place to call. I think Anne want's to go out for our monthly outing. The Elks play their home opener as Montreal is in towm Saturday. That's about all for now.

The gang from

my lodge is in Red Deer for the Annual district Communication (ANCOM) and (I assume) other districts in the Province. I would have liked to attend if I was signle. It'd be something to save up for and it looks like a fun weekend. I think the Royal Arch version has already happened (Calgary?) This kind of syncs up with the 1980 Sherwood Park Medieval days weekend. Great memories.

While I'm not a Soccor fan the World Cup is being hosted by Canada. Games are scattered around the country. For that reasons the CFL BC Lions are in Saskatchewan bbut has nothing to do with  the World Cup in Vancouver

The Lions play this afternoon in Regina. I'll be watching a bit of it.  Maybe even passing out on the couch in the meantime.

Other then the above, not much going on today. This morning I was trying to figure out how to add games to RetroBat. I can't figure out how to do this. Was RetroBat installed properly? Anyway, that's all for now.

Not much going on

around here. Even my Facebook page has been lacking in output lately. Other then last Thursday, Lodge was about the only interesging thing going on. Lately, it's been Elks football and hockey.

On this date in 1994, a popcorn container was filled with approximately 6,619 cubic feet of popped corn.

The box was over 39 feet long, 20 feet wide and 8 feet tall. Corny, but true. On June 11,

I'm going to call this Dissability Tax credit service. See what they can do for a 73 year old man with scoliosis, with a metal rod in his spine, and CVI. My family Doctor would not sign off on AISH for me but my brother Mike is on AISH for the same thing. I just had an exray in April, so if they need that, I can get that easy enough. Anyway, that's all for now.

My sleep patterns

have been more or less regular but I can only get 5-6 hours spread over the course of 2 episodes. I'm usually in bed by 5:30am and up by 9am, and tired again by 11:30, back to bed and up at about 2:30pm. This has been going on from the time we moved in here. RLS plays a main part in it, and maybe watching too much video the last 2 hours before bed. Not a good idea.

On my plate today is BabaLon's talk this morning before bed (the 2nd time) Monday night Raw, and I'll be following the Canes/Vegas game as well.

In all of that, I'll get my 3100 steps in. I still haven't heard back from AADL about funding for my walker. It's not like I'm scaming the Government due to a "wrist injury" and driving my adapted son to and from school everyday and going on cross province road trips in the summer. I'm describing somebody else obviously. Anyway, that's all for now.

My iPad battery

lasted from 5:30-10pm but my USB A-C cable did the job. Next time, I'll bring my power bank. I was wiped out by the time I got in at 11:30pm. It was a great evening.

I'm looking forward to the Elks/Red blacks game in Ottawa. It's a 5pm start. Our first real regular season game. Elks are 1/1 preseason.

It was expected but we got a fire alarm encore this morning. This time to test the elevators. The noise was worse then before. It lasted for about 20 minutes. We're done until this time next year Anyway, that's all for now.

My window time line is tight

is tight this afternoon. At least after this evening, my summer begins. No AAFM. I'm keeping my summer gatherings down to a minimum. Just out with Anne once a month and Momentum end of June. In theory.

Today is International Hug Your Cat Day is celebrated annually on June 4 (though sometimes also observed on May 30).

It is a special holiday dedicated to celebrating the bond between humans and their feline friends by pampering them with extra cuddles, treats, and love. Buster (black) Skipy grey June 1st 2026

Smackdown (I think) is in Paris tomorrow night, so I can watch that anytime. This weekend should be easy going. I hope. Anyway, that's all for now.

I've got laptop maintenance as

IT is at it this morning, so I just need to power it up and let them log in remotely.

I finally got an update on my leg infection referral! Back in April, I asked the doctor for a referral to the South Side Primary Care Network (PCN). They called a few weeks later asking for a $100 visit fee, which didn't seem right to me so I held off. Then this afternoon, I got a voicemail from the Urgent Care clinic near Coliseum Station. The doctor actually arranged a referral for me at the Foot Institute instead. I'll need to look into that soon.

On the bright side, the fire alarm inspectors are finally done here. Yesterday was brutal—the testing is building-wide, so we had to hear every single suite's smoke detector go off. I was so exhausted by 1:00 PM that I went straight back to bed. It is finally going to be quiet around here! Anyway, that’s all for now.

Tuesday, June 2, 2026

The main story

of the day here was the fire alarm tester. Our visit was  about 1:30pm. The thing is, we and everybody else here's the same thing. So thisone guy has a pole, cups the alarm with this pole to set it off, and uses a spray of some kind that shuts it down. For each suite. And that's for both buildings. We have one more day of it. "Good news" is they finish at 3pm. Thank God!

We had another full rain day in the city. We had about a month's rain in 2 days. I like the rain, but I think that should be it for this week. Maybe.

Not only do I had yesterday early, but today more of the same and Tuesday its laptop morning maintenance. At least I can go back to bed. Thursday Lodge, Friday AARC. Then I'm off! I might want to go to "Ye Old Craft" next Saturday. It's a Saturday morning lodge. I can go get some Tim's before that, and file in. There's a Tim Hortons further East along 118th Ave. Anyway, that's all for now.

The highllight of yesterday

was watcing WWE "Clash in Italy." It was shorter then "Smackdown." It was a good crowd in Turin Italy.

Today was a rain day. Here in Strathern we received about 25mm of rain during the day,

which is considered a lot of rain for this part of the city. It was a slow day, but I needed this.

I've got 2 outings this week: Lodge and AASR Friday. Other then that, I'm just taking it easy. I've got a couple of projects I'm doing here at home.

Also, today & tomorrow, managment, will be testing suite fire alarms. One at a time. This building and the connector building. Anyway, that's all for now.

Unless I'm tripping

WWE's Clash in Italy live event starts at 2:00 PM Edmonton time, which works out perfectly for me.

Right now, we are enjoying a nice, rainy Sundae afternoon. I am thinking about heading over to the Mill Woods McDonald's for a strawberry sunday.
Ice cream machines at some McDonald's locations can be hit-or-miss, but if the Mill Woods machine is broken, Dairy Queen is conveniently right across the street. I can always watch the WWE event later.
Flash fiction has become a compelling interest of mine. Yesterday, I came across an interesting outline concept for writing in this genre, specifically for the 500-word category. For my purposes, that length translates into a long blog post 🤣Everything I have written up to this point is about 100 words. I have been reading quite a bit of flash fiction lately, and I find it to be a truly fascinating format. More on that later. Anyway, that's all for now.

Last night's

degree was really good. The music I had ready went as good as practice. I have another practice Sunday, so I hope that mirrors, last nights efforts.

Last year I watched some of the Elks games on CFL+ for free but seems that was removed. I was hoping I could pick up tonight's Elks/Stamps game in progress. Oh well.

At least I can watch Clash in Italy on Netflix Subday @ noon, get some brunch and see about getting a ride to Lodge. Then I just have Lodge and AASR next Friday, and that's a wrap until Summer.

Perry is picking me up

at about 6-6:15 tonight for Chapter. Hopefully I will have no snags with my iPad and BT speaker, and everything will run as smooth as Sunday.

The 'laziest man in history,' a wealthy English heir named Jeremiah Carlton, went to bed and stayed there for 70 years. He died on today's date in 1790 at age 89. On May 27, 1994, the highest temperature created by humans, a balmy 920,000,000 F degrees (30 times hotter than the center of the sun) was produced at the Tokamak Fusion Test Reactor at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory.

I had fargoten about the R4 Nintendo ds cartriges. I might pick one up from Amazon. It's in my Amazon wish list. Lots of these cards have what's called "Time bombs" that have the games expired so the owner will have to buy another card. The decent R4 cards label "No Time Bomb. Add the Azahar pc emulator and, wow! Anyway, that's all for now.

I've been having

mild toothache pain over the last several days. After we do the Master Mason degree I'll be calling the detal office to set up a consultation. I'll bring the upper denture I was given back in 2021. It wasn't very successful for me and sat in a sollution reffill over the years. I think my mouth shrank as the last time I tried inserting the denture, it was a tough fit getting it into my mouth. I might need a new upper. If it makese sense and there's enough insurance money for one, I'd like to get an arcylic hard reline for both upper and lower denture. If I need to shell out of pocket, I can do that but the Alberta seniors benifit program which I'm on might cover it. There are others. But I hope to be setting up a consultation with them asap once all of my Masonic stuff is taken care of.

After our late dinner, Anne took me down to the work out room. They have treadmill and 2 stationary bikes.

I like the bike better. I did one k in disatance and that took me 6 minutes. Not to bad. Aparently, the bike helps fight off RLS.🤔

Last night I enjoyed the Ave's/Vegas game. Vegas scored first and then later late in the 3rd. It was 2-0 and then Denver scored but that was all they could do. Vegas defeated first place in the West Avalanch, and then swept them 4-0. Talk about embarrasing. Tonight it's game 4 Hurricanes/Montreal. Hopefully the Habs can tie the series. Anyway, that's all for now.

Tuesday, May 26, 2026

Our modem & cable set box is tied to the light switch

on the wall. I didn't know this but earlier when I got to the computer, our Internet/phone was down. There is a small button on the modem that lets us shut down the modem brelfy. The modem has to lights that both should be green. One was amber. I tried to rest themodem, 3 times. Nothing. When Anne woke up about 4pm, she laughed saying she hit the wrong switch on the wall. She reset our internet etc, in time for me to watch Wrestling and some of the hockey game. Habs lost Over Time. 3-2.

The math on Canada’s plan for 12 new submarines doesn't quite add up. South Korea's Hanwha Ocean is bidding with subs that need 50 crew members each. But Canada reportedly only has 200 submariners total—just enough to staff 4 ships,
without even factoring in crew rotations or base staffing. If we assume a deployment of 3 subs each for the Pacific, Atlantic, and Arctic theatres, the logistics look incredibly tight. Plus, each submarine comes with a hefty $2 billion price tag.

This week, I'm preparing the music for our upcoming Master Mason degree. I can't organize that until Friday because I have another degree coming up for Chapter Thursday. I'm going to be busy this upcoming week, with Chapter and Lodge music. Anyway, that's all for now.

Monday, May 25, 2026

My ride to

Chapter practice picked me up 12:30pm. I set my iPad up and music ready. There were 6 sections loaded and everyone on time and on cue. I even did the intrduction spot on. I was home by 3:15pm, and had a nap for about 2 hours. I watched most of the Vegas/Ave's game, and Denver is in trouble. 0-3 in the series.

I missed Lon Milo Duquette's "Sunday School" talk earlier. It was on Penticost and "prayer." Good talk though.

Today, I'll be confirming Rogers if my auto pay is done properly since I did it at home Also, I was having difficulty with my hdmi cable connecting to my tv. Not sure what's going on with that. Usually if it's the same type, one size fit's all, or so one would think. Also tonight is Game #3 Carolina/Montreal and Monday night Raw. Should be a good one. Anyway, that's all for now.

Anne and I headed out to Bonnie

doon mall. I had Anne's walker with me. It's old andcrippled up, like me. It job. I need my own walker. Very handy for Lodge. Our first desitnation was the Tailor shop behind RBC. Anne had found a nifty bus pass holder pouch at Value Vilage, similar to the old one that I would wear over my neck. She had this plastic material item that would be good for a bus pass holder she wanted to have it sewn on.

It's a multi purpose hung over the neck fanny pack. I can hod my walet, cell phoe etc. The job was priced at $15. Not bad. After that to Dollarrama, as I couldn't find anything I needed. Then Shoppers (ear plugs) as it's seniors day. Then over to the food court for a tke out. Mexi fries supreme. Then Over to Rogers to see how I can add my new replacement Visa to their auto pay. Then the bus home, and Game 1 of the Habs/Canes game.

After the hockey game my Amazon order arrived: My Nintendo Switch 1 charging adapter. If your reading this Mary, I've had the Nintendo Switch since 2019. Remember the good times when we were both single adult's as neigbors on the same floor, you'd pay me visits and after that, we'd play video games? Good times. Don't tell Don what we did though before that🤫

At first I couldn't get the adaptor to charge the console. After dinner I realized I had it in the wrong slot. Yeesh. Anyway, that's all for now.

Thursday, May 21, 2026

I received a notice

from Amazon that my Nintendo  Switch 1 charging adapter will be arriving sometime today. 😀This means that once it get's here, I'll be able to charge my device and then see if I can connect to the Internet. If not (as I suspect) it means it's my internet connection. I don't even think it's that alone, because Telus is sharing a default connection. If that's even possible.

On May 20, 1916, the small town of Codell, Kansas was struck by a tornado. But what was truly incredible was Codell was hit by a tornado on the same date in 1917, and yet again in 1918. Further, all three storms came  through around the same time-- in the early evening.

When Anne returned from getiing our burgers from Carls jr, she bought a box of Krispy kreme donuts. I didn't think the donuts were all that special. The burger was good though. I'll order that again. Anyway, that's all for now.

Wednesday, May 20, 2026

I took our walker out and

waited for the #501 Capilano Moll bus. The bus was late but I had no difficulty getting around. I got my replacement Visa card, no problem. The walker was holding out good. I could have had the bank activate the card there, but I wasn't in a hurry. I caught my bus to my destination: a block North of the Bonny Doon Mall Value Village. I was home in ten minutes.

In the main they were playing horse racing. It's a boad game of some sort. About 8 players. I met one of our neigbors across the hall, Irene, who casually knew Anne. She mentioned that they play rummy (card game) in the main floor 3 days/week. While I've never played, something to do during the day.

Anne went and retrieved this 3 foot bag of lights cables etc from the closet. We needed a kitchen stepper to access it. My Switch items were not thhere. I needed the AC charging cable and the joy icons holder. Hours later I had to order the charging cable for the Switch 1 from Amazon. I don't have Switch 2. The joy con holder was in another box. The charging adapter will be here by Sunday. I managed to activate my Visa, do we're all good in that deparment. Anyway, that's all for now.

Anne ususally makes

us baby back ribs sliced "foiled potatoes," about 4 times a year. These are packaged under name brand, like Earl's Kelsy's. These ones had bits of fat i n the meat and the potatos were not cooked that well. Anne made better.

On May 18, 1980, the Mount St. Helens volcano in Washington state exploded in a cataclysm that sent ash 12 miles into the air, and left 57 people dead.

I remember this quite well. I was living with Charles/Bev in Calgary early 1981. I was working with Army & Navy department stores, and then moved back up to Edmonton with Richard Lord in the General apartments. This was even before the OTO.

I watched Monday night Raw and followed the Habs/Sabres game. Raw ended as the hockey game was just entering OT tied at 2. Habs scored in OT winning their first game 7 on the road ever. Other then the dinner, it was a good day. Anyway, that's all for now.

Monday, May 18, 2026

This morning

I'll be tuning into BabaLo's Fb chat this morning. At 5:30pm, I'll watching a bit of the Canadians/Buffalo game 7. Lets Go Habs. I'll be following the game whilte watching Wrestling.

Not off to a good start this week for my steps. Best I could get is 2,590. I ususally try and get 3,100 steps minimum

and or at least 2-3k per day on average. I'm at 660 so far. I like to be at 1,500 before bed. Last week it felt good out with the old walker. We need a new one.

Anne gave me half sammy before bed. Her bronchial condition is slowly improving. I hope she has a decent night's sleep. I hate having her in this condition. Anyway, that's all for now.

I'm still Investigating

the easiest way to Homebrew my Nintendo 3DS XL Zelda A Link Between Worlds Limited Edition. I got it in 2017. Back then we had better internet then we do now. I charged my unit to see if it could connect to our wifi, but the connection failed due to our basic internet here. We got locked into that "Home security" with Telus at Wyndham but we couldn;t use our higher speed Internet at Wyndham because the basic plan here hyjacked what we had at Telus for another year.

An idea:💡We had to do an eTransfer to have the moving company move us. We used my iPad and transfered the funds to the moving company in the ground floor lounge here. Can I connect my 3DS XL to the lounge internet? It might be faster then what we're using now

St. Brendan, the 6th century Irish priest, is celebrated today. He is chiefly renowned for his legendary journey by boat to the Isle of the Blessed, as part of his search for the Garden of Eden. Along the way, he's said to have encountered fantastical creatures like a sea monster.

I've got possibly 2 outings this week: I've got to pick  up a replacement bank card Tuesday and Friday there is a multi lodge degree between my lodge and 2 others, and that's Friday. As musical director for my lodge doing the same degree later next month. Not sure if I'm going. It depends. Anyway, that's all for now.

Yesterday Anne and I

got the Valley line LRT to Mill Woods. Destination: First time Dennys. First time I took the walker out. It was windy AF. One of the breaks is broken so it causes it to drift to the left a bit. What I like about Denny's is that it's open 24hours and the LRT there stops about 1:30 weekdays. I had the breakfast starter 2 eggs 2 sausges cubed hashbrowns. Of course diet cola.😀Anne had the "grand Slam" or whatever it was. We really enjoyed it. They've even got individual seats at the counter, which is cool. My bill came to $15, Anne's $20. I paid the $5 tip. Good vibe. The place was busy. We'll be back. We took a bus just outside by McDonalds because I had a craving for a strawberry Sundy. Anne got a brownie something. We enjoyed that got the bus back to Mill Woods Transit. We got home about 8pm.

Today is the International day for families. The International Day of Families is observed on the 15th of May every year. The International Day of Families provides an opportunity to promote awareness of issues relating to families and to increase knowledge of the social, economic and demographic processes affecting them. It has inspired a series of awareness-raising events, including national family days. In many countries, this day is an opportunity to highlight different areas of interest and importance to families. More about this here

Sometime this weekend, our Junior Warden is organizing another Lodge breakfast. Anne can come out because it's for Lodge members and friends & family. That's a work night for Anne as she likes to sleep for as long as possible. I usually get a ride out to these things from my lodge brother. We both joined the lodge, same time 2002.

It was 46 years ago

Forty-six years ago, I set out to record my occult journey, but my "magical record" eventually shifted into a daily diary. Most of those pages ended up in a landfill during Anne’s downsizing, but my OTO and Masonic degrees remain safe. I’m still advancing, with three Scottish Rite degrees scheduled before the new year and the potential for AMD, given their quarterly Saturday meetings.

Last night was a struggle with only about an hour of sleep due to RLS, sleep apnea, and too much caffeine from late-night diet colas.

I took the #524 bus to Bonnie Doon Mall at 11:09 am to pick up my prescriptions and free Alberta Seniors test strips from Shoppers. I was home by noon, napped from roughly 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm, and finally managed to get a bit more rest.

My friend Frances suggested using a stationary bike to help manage my RLS, so I’m going to try a quick session before bed to keep the symptoms at bay. There’s one in the rec room downstairs, and Anne is going to show me how to use it. She mentioned they have two types—one with arm movement and one that’s just pedalling—but I plan to start off slowly. Anyway, that's all for now.

Sunday, May 10, 2026

Yesterday morning

I attended our biweekly mens breakfast prayer group. It's just a small gathering of about half a dozen men. it's usually about 2 hours. No mention bout mothers day weekend.

One of the new guys, offered me a ride anywhere I wanted to go. Highlands Hall area. He dropped me off within a block. Lodge was still in progress. Eventually breathren started filing out and I went inside. I excused my appearence not bing in suit and tie. I bought some tickets for a raffle to support the lodge. I probably could have dressed in my suit but I wasn't there long. I took the #8 bus to Coliseum, and the #53 to Capilano mall, #501 Davis drops me right off in front of our place and home.

Anne wasn't up yet and I was exausted but WWE "Backlash" was on. It was over by 7pm. Anne had laundry to do nd I just relaxed the rest of the evening. That's all for now.

Friday, May 8, 2026

Last night at lodge was

fun. Our stand in SD did an excellent presentation. We had a great debate taking place. I had no issues with the music.

While I never met Ted Turner, he Robert (Ted) Edward Turner III was an American businessman, television producer, media proprietor, and philanthropist. He founded CNN, the first 24-hour cable news channel. Ted Turner had a massive impact

on professional wrestling. In 1988, he purchased Jim Crockett Promotions and rebranded it as World Championship Wrestling (WCW), which became the primary competitor to Vince McMahon's WWF (now WWE) in the 1990s and helped launch the "Monday Night Wars". I remember the WCW WWF rivalry well. Good times Thanks Ted. He passed May 6th 2026.

I'm busy tomorrow, leaving out of here about 7:30am for Clareview, and BoB. If possible and there is time, I might be able to make Ye old Craft's festive board, call Shoppers Drug Mart, see if my meds are ready for pick up, and come home to get ready for WWE Backlash. In theory. We'll see how that goes.

Wednesday, May 6, 2026

I helped Anne fill out

her census which took all of about 10 minutes to do. Very simple. The last survey project we did at work was more time consuming then this.

Montreal Canadians/Buffalo Sabres are opening round 1 today. This should be a good series. I'm hoping for a Canadian team in the finale. The Habs are our only hope

Last Friday I met a new AASR brother same situaion as me health wise. He encouraged me to apply for a Dissability tax credit. I don't have a family Doctor, so I'm going to a walk in clinic and see if I can get some help. I'll be investigating this next week but this is not an easy process. I'm sure this wont be easy. Anyway, that's all for now.

Tuesday, May 5, 2026

Lodge music for Thursday is set up and

ready to go. This time, I'm going to make sure the speaker is activated. I'll have all 3 extra piece of music ready as well for June.

On May 4th, 1933, the discovery of mysterious radio waves from the center of the Milky Way galaxy was described by Karl Jansky in a presentation

he made to the International Radio Union .Karl Jansky reported his discovery of mysterious, persistent radio waves from the center of the Milky Way  founding the field of radio astronomy.

We got our census in the mail yesterday. I filled mine out. It took less then ten minutes. It was very easy to do. I'm going  to fill Anne's out later today. Anyway, that's all for now.

Monday, May 4, 2026

A laid back day

today. The highlights of my day was watching BabaLon Facebook channel Monday night Raw earlier.  I also got my music ready for Lodge for Thursday.

Today is Star wars day. To me, Star Wars day was May 21st 1980 because it was such an important day, when I got my tax return in the mail and cashed it that afternoon. Richard Ellen and went through Edmonton Centre and I saw the last few seconds of the New York Islander beat the Flyers. First time an origional six team got beat by one of the "new kids."

We were going to go to Hobbit's. To get Richard's comic file but we ran into some friends of Richards in the Star Wars line up. They let us in ahead of them. There were a few other things going on before and after that. I cant get into the details, but it was a magical time for me. I was still in my 20's.

Anne returned from her Clareview Costco outing and gave me a progress report on Wyndham apartment building across the street. The first fire that took out the building by the church was last year.  Building B. When I was at BoB early April, there was a debri field 4 stories tall. Then there was a second fire in the remaining Wyndham building (faceing 137th Ave) April 20th. That was the building that we got out from when they had the fire shortly after that. Anne said every entrance was sealed and taped off in Building A. Our old building is empty. God was watching out for us when we got the call to move here, late February to move here. Anyway, that's all for now.

Sunday, May 3, 2026

I was going to buy an Indy game

on Steam (Haunted Lands) but I need to buy my meds next Weekend, and I already bought Snorkel Synth yesterday. It was C $8. I still might get the game yet. We'll see.

World Laughter Day 2026 is celebrated on Sunday, May 3, 2026. This global event, typically held on the first Sunday of May, promotes wellness, joy, and peace through laughter.

It encourages reducing stress, lowering cortisol levels, and building community through shared laughter, laughter yoga sessions, and comedy

This week I have lodge practice tonight, laptop maintenace (work) Wednesday, Lodge Thursday, another event Saturday and if there is time, on the way home I can stop at Highlands Hall and get to the festive board for some lunch, and home to watch "WWE Backlash." Anyway, that's all for now.

Saturday, May 2, 2026

I met a new brother last night

that mentioned about the Dissability tax credit. Too even the casual observer I'm dissabled. I  tried this DTC earlier this year but it was from a 3rd party. After a bit of research, I learned this to be a scam. I'm going to try this through a local Doctor over the summer. I think it's a long shot I think I'm wasting my time, but I have the summer off so what the heck, eh?

Although accounts of a large aquatic creature living in Scotland's Loch Ness date back 1,500 years, the first modern sighting of the Loch Ness Monster was reported in the Inverness Courier on May 2, 1933.

I've had my Steam account for along time before I bought the 2Tb M.2 drive. Prior to that my hard drive space was down to single digit mega bytes. Now that I have more space and Ram in my current upgrade, I tried again but I was locked out. I  uninstalled Steam, created a new folder/destination in my C drive. I was locked out after that. Then I realized mybe I don't log in with my email but my username. I tried the username, and success. Let the games begin! Anyway, that's all for now.

Ducks in 6

I was hoping for a better result but this year was a tough year for the Oilers. There ws very little urgency in this game. Bring on the Off Season follies.

Walpurgisnacht, a holiday of pagan origins is celebrated in many parts of Europe-- in Germany, witches hold special ceremonies during the night, celebrating the arrival of Spring. No doubt Panfest will observe this.

Anne returned with some medical magnesium. Apparently it's suposed to help mitigate RLS. I also took a vitamine C pill as well to help with dry eyes. I'm not expecting these to work over night. Yesterd, I went to bed to early, which was my bad. Anyway, that's all for now.

It's another must win

for the Oilers this evening in Anaheim. Tuesday night they had the home crowd behind them. Tonight, we're in hostile territory. They win tonight, they force a game 7 to be played possibly Saturday night.

I'm the no.1 Oilers fan , at least in this household. Odds are not in the Oilers favour. I will be watching, wishing them will. Lets go Oilers!

Late yesterday afternoon, Anne and I headed out to iHop South Park shopping centre. I got the 2 eggs, sausages hash browns, toast for $15. Anne got the sampler and gave me an extra pancake. I paid a $5 tip. Anne returned an Amazon wrong order for me and they credited my Visa right away, so that paid my dinner. Normally, I'd be paying out $35 for breakfast like that.

Tomorrow night (once I let Gordon know I'll be riding with him) I'll be at Al Shamal for our monthly business meeting. This is the 2nd time I was at the Friday night meeting. Anyway, that's all for now.

The fact that the Oilers

last night forced a game 6 last, blew my mind. The Ducks are a team that are very strong at home, and I doubt lightning will strike twice and the Oilers will force a game 7. It's just one game at a time.

Anne and I are going out for a bite to eat this evening to an undisclosed location. We would have have gone out 2 weeks ago but I had that leg infection. Hopefully it wont return.

Thursday night is the Oilers game, and Friday my AASR brother is picking me up, as its Rose Croix night. Should be a good time. And after that, its Smackdown replay. All glory goes to God. AGLA. anyway, that's all for now.

Tonight its game #5

round 1 Ducks/Oilers. I'm ok if the Oilers lose this evening. Individually the Oilers had a great year but on a team level, they had trouble winning 3 games in a row. The could only do that once this year. What with Trading Skinner for Jarry and some ok players, that more or less lived up to the hype. Team did ok. Not like last year. Mainly because they faced LA Kings which they seem to have "their number." If they lose, I have Elks football, and wrestling. All is not lost, entertainment wise speaking.

Not that I use Instagram (IG) a lot but I have it activated and it's in my Windows Start Menu. I just discovered this but IG has a free chat feature. This might have potential down the road.

I had forgotten all about this but the CFL released the Edmonton Elks schedule for 2026 way back in early December. I entered the games in my callendar. Anyway, that's all for now.

Not much going

around here lately just watching the Oilers being thrashed by the Anahiem Ducks The Oilers need to win game 5 Tuesday night, or they are gone in the first round now under way. I feel their season will come to an end Tuesday.

Friday night, Anne notcied a pastery shop that caught her attention on Whyte Ave. She went on a recon mission to get more detail and the place is called. Paris Baguette.

They had a 2 for one special on a cream puff pastry and she bought me a chocolate treat. Very nice. It's just a few blocks away from my old stomping grounds from 80th Ave.

I had a quiet weekend. No ambition to do anything. I have some eye strain in my right eye I need to check in on this week that developed over the weekend. Almost everyday we've been getting snow here. Anyway, that's all for now.

Anne and I have been

talking about getting a personal walker, instead of the one we've been sharing. We like shopping locally when we can. Canadian tire has some, Walmart etc. I got to thinking that since I'm on AADL and they fund my compression stockings will they be able to subsidice a walker for me? Then I thought about Healthcare Solutions at Northgate, and if AADL can put in a recresition form for me, I might be able to get a nice walker. I'll call AADL today and see if I can get an answer.

I remember this very well. On this date (yesterday) in 1985, the Coca Cola company unveiled their New Coke formula for their signature beverage. The result was outrage from Coke drinkers across the country, who bombarded the company with demands to return to the original formula. Less than three months later, 'old Coke' was re-introduced as 'Coca Cola Classic' and New Coke became known as the modern-day equivalent to the Edsel.. The "New Coke had a soapy type taste to it. I hated it.

The Oilers are in Anaheim as the best of 7 is now tied at 1. I think McDavid has an ankle incjury and is just playing through it. If we lose tonight, we're done for. We'll see how that goes. Also, there's Smackdown tonight. Anyway, that's all for now.

Last Wednesday

morning at home, Anne watched me lose my balance and 240 lbs of Jimmy fell aganst the wall. Not taking chances, Anne called 911. They were here within ten minutes. They took my vitals, and were able to diagnose (from the info I gave them) and suggested they can drive me to the University hospital, or go to the East Edmonton urgent care facility by Stadium. Paramedics suggested I had a leg infection. We thanked the paramedics sending them on their way.

We called for a Co-op taxi. Anne new exactly where to go. We were there within 20 minutes and ~ $15 later. We had to register, and go to intake. After explaning to the people at urgent care, they did tests, blood work, x-rays etc. We went through 5 days of this.

The Doctors said I had an infection brought on by CVI etc. During all that time and tests etc. I was on IV a few times there, and they gave me script for meds and anitbiotics. Most of my time there was waiting. I'm moving around slowly. Dan Mullet and I were the same age, born 1952. Him in May, me August. We both have (had) CVI Chronic Veinous Insufficancy (poor blood flow from heart to legs). We both wore (wear) compression stockings to help mitigate this. Dan fell down stairs at home. I just fell on one level and I did not lose concoiusness. I didn't want to say anything about this or make a big deal about it, or draw attention this. I had to cancel other Masonic bodies this month. I'm just relaxing at home. Eye floaters had got a bit worse but not much. I'm ok. I'm not dying yet. LOL. I might be out for May. Sorry about this. I'm at that age now brethren. My spirits are good. I'll be back before we go dark. .

Thanks to Winnipeg

Jets losing, clinches the Oilers in the playoffs how far we get is another matter.

According to the True Knowledge computer program, April 11, 1954 was the "most boring day" of the 20th century.

The dubious distinction was derived from feeding 300 million historical facts into the program

Monday night Raw tomorrow/Ave's @ Oilers overlap. I'm taking Anne out on our monthly outing this week (Tuesdqy/Wednesday TBA) Canucks/Oilers Thursday, Friday open Saturday/Sunday wrestlemania, It's going to be a great week ahead. Anyway, that's all for now.
