I left out of here at 3pm

yesterday afternoon not yet letting Anne know about Wednesdays shift being cancelled. I went into the 7-11 on Jasper and got our May bus pass and to my Doctors office building. I had a brief wait time and got a coffee by one of the shops that was just about to close. There's a small food court on the main level and I had a coffee in the near vacant food court. A brief wait in the waiting area and my Doctor finally came in to see me. He wanted to draw to my attention is my blood sugar count. He wrote me up a strong recommendation to AW how I should be on Metformin and recommended to AW that that I get on a medical benefits plan that would cover everything, including dental. I'll be doing that Thursday after my 1:30pm Pharmacy appointment at Northgate. I'm just thinking maybe I should go in my suit tomorrow and bring my lodge gear with me. That way I can go right to the lodge from Northgate. After lodge downtown I can meet Anne coming out of work and ride with her on the way home.

After my appointment I worked my way to the office. It was very warm out there. Beautiful day. So I got in the office and the supervisor was saying to those that got the email/phone call, whatever got their shifts cancelled for today, it was mainly due because of low survey completion rates the night before. I wasn't the only one. I think 3 is the threshold because I had 3 completions many times before and still had my shifts the next day. On my break I made a couple lodge related calls to see who is all coming out for early opening/closing Thursday. Doesn't look like I'm going to have a big turnout tomorrow night. I still have some calls to make tonight though. I ended up changing my availability for next week to include Sunday. So I'm busy on the job from this Friday-to-Thursday,if they let me that is. I ended up with 3 completions and not feeling very good about my future with this company. Short or long term, it doesn't look good. Any more shift cancellations and I'm requesting a roe. Shortage of work. There doesn't seem to be any other projects on the immediate horizon either.

I'm up at 10am for noon out of here today to use the computers and to do a job search. This employment agency is supposed to be a place that specializes in getting persons with disabilities employment. I think they use the same job bank that everyone else uses but its easier to get to then AW. It's a block West of Corona station. I have my resume all ready to go and so I'm going to be doing that this afternoon. Ideally I'd like something that I can do 3 days/week and 3 days where I'm working now and do that until I retire. If diabetes lets me live that long.

The other thing I'm considering after my job search today if there's time is heading over to Axe music and look around and head home from there. Anyway, that's all for now.

Today I'm out of here about 3pm for a 4pm

Doctors appointment because I have a appointment to see my pharmacist at Northgate Thursday and then a bite to eat as I need to be at Highlands Hall by 6pm. I have a busy couple of days ahead. Next week I have a Masonic funeral for a brother of my lodge. The idea was to go to this job search workshop at noon today for a couple of ours but i don't think there's going to be much time. Anyway, that's about all for now.

My commute on the way in yesterday

morning was ok but cold. I put $20 on my Tim’s card and bought breakfast.

It was tough sledding yesterday on the job. I had my first break about 1:30pm and my lunch about 2:30pm and I called Audrey’s and ordered the first 5 “Eagles” (western’s) books William A. Johnstone and two Warhammer 40k novels and talked to Anne. Barry (replacing Trevor?) my new book ordering guy said someone else ordered the same series. Hopefully I’ll get them in. I had my last break about 4:30pm and the last hour went by in a hurry. I ended up with 4 completions and my supervisor seemed happy with that. Since my total kept pace with Victoria’s office all by itself! It was a cold overcast day even though I’d rather be home, it was a good productive day.

I would have loved to have gone as this weekend is Calgary’s Expo. It’s sold out as 80,000 people are attending. One of the girls at work (reminds me of Ellen in a way but built like Ellen was in her prime.) is there this weekend. She’s excited to see Sigourney Weaver. The event will be hosted by Star Trek: Voyager’s Garrett Wang. There’s not a lot there that would appeal to me.

I got home about 6:30pm and glad to get inside. I had a great night answering some email. Did a bit of JFK stuff, watched some LA/SJ playoff hockey, had the burger and mexi fries Anne made me for my lunch which I never had. For the most part of the evening I was still trying to find a free program that will let me convert any audio to midi for free. Nothing so far. Anyway, that’s all for now.

I managed to get a few hours sleep

this morning but I'm still running on the 8  hours from yesterday so there's still some gas left in the tank for today.

I popped into the Rogers Place Arena webcam and they're hard at work at it now. They're lining up 2, two trailer trucks hauling dirt out of the site and piling machines are active. For the moment I can see the Grant MacEwan lrt station just west of the Mac building (top right) It was a Army & Navy warehouse in the 70's and 80's I still think a better place for the arena district should have been where Save on Foods is now on 109th street. It was a vacant lot for decades until the late 1990's when it first began to develop into what it is now. I'm looking forward to seeing this arena district develop.

It's a full 8 hours ahead of me today not including my commute. Anyway, that's all for now.

My wife seems to be feeling better

from what she believes to be a mild case of food poisoning. Its kept her in bed for 2 days and she had to cancel her shift last night but she seems to be on the mend

I was working on a track earlier but I kept on getting all kinds of cpu under runs. I need a new PC. I need another income to be able to afford one.

It was 34 years ago today that I discovered the works of Aleister Crowley and learned this strange cult called Thelema. I recall how my then girlfriend at the time was seeing this man that my SCA colleagues thought was a Satanist/black magician. I knew she was drifting away from me falling for his good charming appeal and good looks. It was on a Friday night and it was at a time I was infatuated with this girl. She was my first girlfriend (gf) and I was trying to get ahold of my emotional state at the time, failing miserably. I was working at the Army & Navy warehouse beside where the Blue Plate restaurant is today and I remember I was living in a small bedroom suite about the same size of our bedroom sharing the bathroom and kitchen. The house is still there today behind Peoples church. A Google maps search will show the house and two poplar trees in the front. There's a white side door underneath a faucet and my room is the small window at ground level. I was trying to reach my gf by the pay phone at the Sandy Lane shopping centre. It's burned down now but still there from the last Google maps update. The pay phone booth would have right by where the news paper boxes adjacent to the access road are today. It was in that pay phone I'd be trying to call my gf about once every 15 minutes. As the night wore on I became more and more worried. We all heard the stories about this guy and they crept into my mind with each moment I failed to reach my gf. I had a hunch I knew she was with him. My gf mother was working that night or I suspected as much. Finally about 9:30pm her mother picked up the phone. It was just mother and daughter living together. I expressed my concerned to her mother where she might be and said with all confidence I could get her out of this situation. It began to rain slightly on that night Friday April 25th 1980. Her mom picked me up and we drove down to where I knew this guy lived because my gf was with him one night as we were coming back from a SCA meeting and I think she resented me tagging along that night. When we got to his place (it was called 5 Oaks, now Fairview place) and seeing his name on the intercom buzzer I think it was #405. I said something "like I'm mad as hell and her mom and I have come for my gf to take her home." Her mom had the car idling by the curb. So he said "Come up". I remembered the door number and flew up the stairs  fearing the worse when I got there but not knowing what to expect. He greeted me at the door all smiles inviting me in. "Would you like a glass of wine?" "Where's gf?" "Over here, she's in a meditative state. Its best not to wake her out of it when she's in this situation," I recall screaming, "What have you done to her?" By this time I was losing it. "Calm down, she's under no harm. I'll wake her out and ask her if she wants to go home." He woke her out of a so called trance, I think she was just putting on a show for his benefit. Keep in mind this was my first gf and I was 27 years old. When my gf came out of this "trance," she hissed at me and it kind of startled me. He got her to her feet and took her into his bedroom handing me a glass of wine saying something like, "I'll calm her down just relax." So as whatever was going on in his bedroom I noticed this chrome skeleton pyramid structure. It looked hand made. I sipped my wine and began to read something on his wall; "Liber Oz." It was very well written and shook me to the core of my being. He came back with my gf and I asked about this. He explained a bit of it to me. My gf said something like in a sweet voice and a warm smile, "Jim I'd like to stay, please?" I said, "Alright ok but I'd like to learn more about this and finish this wine if that's ok and I'll send her mom back home saying I'll take her home from here." He mom seemed relieved and agreed. Since that time I embarked on a 20 year magical career into Thelema. My gf went on to marry my best friend to live in Calgary. I discovered more about Crowley and even got the first 4 degrees and attached my self to various groups here in Edmonton. The local "Order Templi Orientis"  OTO lodge folded in 1996 at the time my father passed away. The guy that my gf was seeing moved to Vancouver about 1993 and that was the last time I heard from him. The people in our local OTO lodge and chapters and Oasis's were great people. By this time I had outgrown the OTO and resigned. However every time when it's a Friday night April 25th I always go back to that time, to the good old days.

The idea was to go to the lab about 2pm and then the Doctors appointment and then into work but that's a bit too much with having to get up early for Saturday morning. I'll do that next week. Anyway, that's about all for now.

Thursday, April 24, 2014

Last night on the job was

pretty good. I got 4 survey's, so I can't complain. it was a good night.

It was still raining lightly when I left shortly before 9pm last night. We're supposed to get more of the same today.

The only Canadian team in the playoffs and the Habs are still alive! They get to move on to the 2nd round.

My intent was to do the lab thing today and then go into work but since I've got my Doctors visit Friday, I may as well go into the lab (in the same building) and take care of that, then go into work. Saturday, I've got a full day and Sunday is 12-5 and then off to a lodge business meeting from 7-9. Anyway, that's all for now.

I could have stuck around for the

job search workshop yesterday but at least I've got my resume done up and that was some progress. I'm back next Tuesday for the job search workshop. The fellow that helped me with the resume actually knows my current employer. My resume was emailed out to me.

I was out of there about 1pm and I could have gone to the lab but I was feeling a bit burned out. There was a bar/restaurant in the building at street level and I looked around in there wondering if they had any Innis-Gunn but the guy didn't know what I was talking about. After that I went to Corona station as it was very windy and I ended up catching the train home.

I got to Clareview station working my way to the #182 Northgate bus as it was ready to pull out. I made eye contact with the driver hoping he'd stop but he just ignored me and almost drove me over. I was pissed off because it made me wait about half an hour. When I got home I didn't have much time because of that but Anne made me some lunch and I went into work. I wondered what the unknown phone # was on our call history. It was from my Doctors office as he wanted to see me. I mentioned I still had to do the pee test and the glucose blood test. I'm in there at 3:45pm Friday before I go to work.

I had a decent shift on the job as well pulling in 4 survey's but I left my good sunglasses at home, which again pissed me off. The best part about all of this running around is I got to read more from Warhammer 40K and that made everything worthwhile.

When I got home I was able to get my resume as a pdf file from Word and uploaded it via iTunes onto my iTouch player. Now all I need to do is to convert a power point document to a pdf file. I have a hard copy of Kelly's finle Lodge report. I want to scan that later today and upload it as a PDF. Or just print from the power point file but the desktop document is in colour but my hard copy is b&w

Despite the gusting wind it was a clear day out there. When I got Anne was ordering pizza from Maxim's pizza. Good stuff. I had that watching the news and worked out the rest of my evening.

Today I'm relaxing until I leave out of here for my 5-9  but then it's Thursday I'm doing the lab thing and the my Doctors. Anyway that's about all for now

A slight change of plans

today as Anne suggested I just go to emp today for my noon appointment but leave the lab for another time this week. That sounds like a good idea.

I was thinking, $30-60 for the John Armstrong book “Harvey & Lee,” but it’s a hefty $90! It’s still in print but Audrey’s doesn’t have it online. As far as I know. The book has over 900 pages and if your a critic as I am of the official version of the JFK case, then this is the definitive book on the subject. I've been trying to get it for years.

Speaking about books, I finished “False Gods” this morning and I’m now on book 3/25 (and counting)  of the Horus Heresy series. “Galaxy in Flames.” I hope to have this read by the end of May.

Today other then the emp thing it’s an easy 4 hours at work tonight. Apparently we’re taking this current project to the 8th of May. After that, I have no idea. I heard mumblings of something but nothing I can put a name or a timeline onto. This is why I need a more steady job. I  like the work I'm doing, its just not steady. That's one of the reasons why I'm going out for this appointment today. I wouldn’t publish the name of the upcoming project anyway due to the nature of the business I’m in. Anyway, that’s all for now.

ETS is still running on holiday schedule for transit today

what with it being Easter Monday. It means my commute will be slower.

Yesterday on YouTube (yes I got my sound back.) I was watching "The last 24 hours of Jimmy Hendrix." I was not a fan or anything per se`nor did I buy any of his music. I never had any money of my own when I was a teenage in the 1960's when Hendrix was in his prime to buy any music. My first $100 was in 1971 and then I vaguely remember buying 2 records, "Led Zeppelin" and some "Deep Purple" album. I was barely consciously aware of Jimmy Hendrix, just from what I heard on the radio. Anyway, the YouTube video about Hendrix's last 24 hours of his life was very in depth. Hendrix's career was compromised by his less then ethical manager Michael Jeffery and Jeffery's alleged ties to mafia elements. Hendrix lived the life of "sex drugs rock n' roll," and had a huge appetite for sex. For the most part of his short career, Hendrix was a political. It's when he got political and associated with the Black Panther movement that he began to get into trouble. During his last 24 hours Hendrix and his girlfriend residing at the Samarkand hotel in London. The night before he died, she said he was breathing normally and had taken a couple of his girlfriend's Vesperax sleeping pills. Apparently she went out or something that morning and returned and Hendrix was breathy slowly naked where she left him in bed, but unresponsive and all the package of sleeping pills were empty. She called for a ambulance that arrived an hour later. The 2 ambulance attendants could not bring Hendrix to consciousness. Yes she could ride in the ambulance to the hospital. Hendrix died at 12:45pm September 18,1970 (aged 27). When the autopsy was performed they found huge amounts of red wine in his belly and vomit in his mouth. Some historians believe that the mafia, while his girlfriend was out had entered into his room and forced copious amounts of wine down his throat basically drowning in his own wine. Years later the 2 ambulance attendants had said they found Hendrix with his cloths on in bed and that his girlfriend did not ride with them to the hospital. Also, Hendrix manager Jeffery had a $2 million dollar insurance policy on Hendrix as Hendrix was about to relieve Jeffery as his manager as he suspected Jeffery of milking him from thousands of dollars. The red wine and 9 sleeping pills, is what many believe was the cause of Hendrix's death. The odd thing about this is if Hendrix was found with his cloths on and all that wine forced into him how come there were no wine stains on his cloths or at his hotel room? It's a very strange case.

Other then Tuesday's 2nd visit to the lab that morning and my appointment at the employment agency, at noon that same day, there's not a lot going on this week. I hope I can get a better paying day job and work where I am just a few days a week until I retire. Of course there's NHL playoff hockey hoping the Habs can sweep their series with Tampa Bay. I'm following that and the Oil Kings. Anyway, that's all for now.

I had a five minute wait yesterday for my bus out there in the warm Sun

as the snow was melting and being burned off. I got my 6/49 ticket at the Clareview Redi mart and read a bit on my way in. I snapped a couple of photos I'm trying to get the server to accept but I managed to get one of George and I having a drink:

Lodge was interesting and I learned a few things as well. The festive board was in the lounge, which is always nice. They had a new beer I've never tried before Innes-Gun something. It looks like a wheat colored beer at 6.6 %. A very nice honey beer but at $6.50 a bottle it's not cheap. As an added bonus I not only got to have my meal free but also, they had a bourbon tasting and a raffle as well but you had to buy a ticket with the meal to win. The lodge master gave an interesting talk about bourbon's as well. I think it was a bottle of scotch. I had a taste of Booker's, smooth. I got a ride home from one of the other guys there, which was nice as I got in about 5:30. If it wasn't for the ride home, I would have stopped off at Century Casino to play a $20 and ride on that for a few hours.

I did some lodge email business when I got home and relaxed and watched some CBJ/Pens playoff hockey and passed out on the couch.

I got to get another job, something I can do 8-4:30 ish and have my evenings off for lodge or whatever. Hopefully something will present itself in the next few weeks.

Finally, I was going through a site about NW bands that played in the lower mainland of the past and checked out the dance hall tab. The last name was called The Zodiac and it was in the Tower's Hotel on 6th and Royal. I don't know if it's called The Tower's now or even if there's a lounge in there now. I didn't know the name of the pub then and now. It was only just this weekend I could put a name to this place. I remember a friend of mine and I went in for a drink and this was the first time I got asked for ID. I was a young looking 22 year old at the time. I was scrolling down the list of dance halls when the last name "The Zodiac," The Towers. Then the memory hit me like an epiphany. Anyway, that's all for now.

Saturday, April 19, 2014

Despite the messy snow on the ground the plan this morning is to

get ready for lodge this afternoon. It's not my own lodge but visiting is a huge part of Masonry. I've been to this lodge maybe about 3 times and its not mandatory or anything to go out and visit. This lodge being on one of the few Saturday's I have off, and it being on a 3 day weekend gives me a perfect opportunity to get my suit on and head out for the afternoon. After lodge I can grab a beverage and because I'm a visitor, I can eat at the festive board for free. Depending on what their having of course.

Last night after sitting on the cd for about a year, I finally had a chance to listen to "Bloodspire and Deathwolf." Its a Warhammer 40K audio cd. The Blood Angels are in the first one and the Space Wolves are in the 2nd. The disk is just over an hour long. The 2nd disk has extra content like the scripts, artwork, wallpaper and other goodies. The other cd I have is about 75 minutes running time is "The Ascension of Balthasar." I'm going to try and burn this and upload it to iTunes for my iTouch player.

Earlier this morning, I began working on another banner for my blog. I'm using The Gimp 2.8 software. It's similar to Photoshop but open source and I haven't used it in awhile.

My wife went and hid or threw out my old boots. A bit premature honey. I'm going to Lodge in my runners and dress shoes in my bag. If I'm in luck the Clareview Redi mart might be open, but I doubt it.

After lodge, it's a quick walk around the corner up to Bay station and down to the lrt and home. Should be a good afternoon. They might even be conferring a degree, who knows? Anyway, that's all for now.

Friday, April 18, 2014

Having a 3 day weekend

should be the norm with me. I could get used to this.

It's been snowing all day yesterday, and we're expected to have about 3 inches of snow. With temperatures around +9 Saturday most (if not all of it will be gone Saturday.)

Which is good because Saturday I'm heading out to Audrey's to get my book, then Rexall to get a 6/49 ticket up to Lodge for the afternoon. I'm going to have a good time have a beer with the guys and head for home to watch some playoff hockey, life is good.

Before bed, I'm  going to try and read some more from "False Gods" as I'm nearing the last few 50 pages or so.

I had a good shift last night pulling quota on my last call and it caused me to miss the first train home. I got in about 15 minutes later then normal. I don't mind. Anyway, that's all for now.

Thursday, April 17, 2014

Working the hours I have

5-9 has it's plus and minuses. On the plus side, I can stay up late as its going on to 4am as I write this. I can sleep in late. I can do business in the mornings if I have any. Also because my schedule is "tweak-able," I can take any night of the week off (if I can afford it), which is why I have penciled in Saturday and Sunday off. I'm having a long weekend off (I hope) but if my hours get "tweaked" again. I'm still taking Saturday and Sunday off, regardless! On the downside, I'm working just about everyday and I'm not getting enough hours.

Last night I downloaded this free program which can produce midi files into notation/sheet music. It works great but somehow it over took my YouTube channel and I cant get any sound out of my main computer, which kind of puts me off. It's probably a default thing. A online colleague of mine mentioned to me a few days ago that Ram isn't as important in music production is cpu. So this now opens up a whole bunch of possibilities. AMD computers usually have faster cpu speeds then Intel. I've seen AMD cpu speeds around 3.0Ghz, and that's in a laptop!

Yesterday I had to go to the blood lab to get some work done. I didn't know I had to take a pee test as well. Sorry but I can't just open it up like a tap or anything. They need me to go back to do the pee test and because I had a muffin on the train in they can't check for glucose readings. I also went and applied at a local employment agency that specializes in finding work for persons with disabilities. I'm trying to find something stable that pays good from noon-4pm Monday/Friday. Most of my colleagues have other jobs.

So today I'm in at my usual 5-9 and then 3 days off! Plus I get my pay check this weekend as well. My wife gets it, I don't. Anyway, that's all for now.

Monday, April 14, 2014

About 3pm today

I'm paying a visit to the lab to get some blood work done. After that (hopefully) that's it for medical stuff for awhile.

Saturday the people of Kitimat BC in a non binding plebiscite, voted against the northern Gateway pipeline. As much as I'm in favour of the project, I didn't like the route over the mountains and then through narrow waterways. There are other routes to get the oil to Asian markets, like Prince Rupert or even southern BC. The project is not dead in the water. We could also move our oil by rail to Prince Rupert as well. Lots of options.

I left a message on a employment agencies voice mail that helps people with discabilities find meaningful work. Hopefully I'll get a call this week. I like my job just that the money's no good. If I could get a permanent part time day job, I could live with that. After my lab visit this afternoon, it's off into work for my 5-9. Anyway, that's all for now.

Sunday, April 13, 2014

The wind overnight was still very strong when I went out yesterday morning to

to catch my bus to Clareview. Even on the way to the LRT platform it was blowing hard. Despite all of that, it wasn't that bad temperature wise. The weather's bark was worse the it's bite.

Well it's all over at last: The Oiler's 2013-14. At least they went out on a high note winning the game 5-2. We have 3 players that can score 25+ goals and 1 close to 20 goals. The sad part about the last game of the season is seeing Ryan Smyth retire. The heart and soul of the Oiler's. I was kind of hoping the Oiler's higher ups would retire his #94 Jersey to the rafters with the other Oiler greats. Ryan Smyth coined the phrase "Once an Oiler always an Oiler." The main highlight of the game came after the game: The Vancouver Canucks came out as the game was over stood in line to pay respects to Ryan Smyth. What a classy move that was. I hope they retire his #94 Jersey to the rafters with all the rest of the Oiler greats.

Today I'm out of here about 11am for the last of my weekend shifts for awhile. I'll be out of there at 8pm home by about 9pm. Anyway, that's about all for now.

Saturday, April 12, 2014

It was kind of slow going today

and I was lucky to get about half of what I think they asked for.

When I got out of the building it was gusting with ver icy winds. Even across the street it was gusty.

I've got a full day ahead here and I'm about to do some reading before bed. Still working on the last 89 pages or so of "False Gods." I'm in the mood for reading some Agatha Christie mysteries here just for something totally different.

The heart and sole of The Edmonton Oiler's Ryan Smyth is about ready to have his last game as a player. He was instrumental in taking the Oilers to the 2006 Stanley Cup finale and will always be remembered as Captain Canada. If the Oiler's don't retire his #94 to the rafters, they are nuts in the head.

I've got a full day ahead of myself here today and tomorrow but next weekend, I might even take 4 days off. I'll have to wait and see. Anyway, that's about all for now.

Friday, April 11, 2014

At 3am in the morning the city is out there

sweeping the streets from all the gravel and sand collected over the winter.

Yesterday I went to my Ophthalmologist and they put the drops in my eyes and flashed a couple of cameras, that sort of thing. After about 2 hours there the Doctor said there was after 10 years being diabetic, no diabetic eye damage. He got up and said "see you next year." Anne came down to see me as I was coming out and I recognized her. I explained to her the good news the Doctor just told me.

Holding my hand we went to City Centre food court and I had some Taco Time and looked around in Coles for awhile. After that we took the train and got home by just after 5pm. I wanted to go in for the 5pm shift but I had too much eye strain and a bit of blurred vision. This cleared up about 7pm and I watched the Kings shut out the Oiler's at Rexall 3-0. It's almost over.

Some sad news on the political front, Conservative finance minister Jim Flaherty passed away. He retired just recently. He was one of the good guys and brought in tax free savings plan and was one of the main reasons why Canada was able to keep at bay the 2008 recession in Eastern Canada.

I'm having a cold beer about ready to head off to be. I have a 5.5 hour shift and two full back to back days over the weekend. I'm not going to have a lot of time to myself this weekend but next weekend I'm taking the full 3 days off, possibly 4. Anyway, that's all for now.

Thursday, April 10, 2014

Anne went out and got me the

Brother MFC-J475DW all-in-one inkjet printer last night while I was at work. She went over to Northgate town Centre. It was the same one we were looking over at London Drugs and for $60 bucks it's a pretty good buy. For the most part I have it set up and registered. I made a test copy and it prints, so far pretty good.

Some sad WWE news from earlier. The wrestler known as "The Ultimate Warrior" passed away and he was just on Monday night Raw speaking to the crowd in the ring. Almost as if he was saying goodbye one last time.

This afternoon I have my appointment with my Ophthalmologist at 2pm and I'm going to have eye drops and probably ultrasound. If I have my vision un impaired,I'll go into work for my 4 hour shift. Anne suggested that since I have a 5.5 and 2 back to back 7.5 it might be a good idea for me to take tonight off. That might be a good idea but we'll see. Anyway, that's all for now.

Monday, April 7, 2014

We left out of here about

1:30pm yesterday although it was a little breezy out there, it looked like a nice afternoon. I took a few photo's waiting for my bus to Clareview. After a wait at the UoA we got to WEM about 2:30pm and headed right over to Scotiabank theatre. Apparently they would not accept our Scene points because it was a special event. We'd have to pay $27 each. Anne was willing to fork out the money. Instead I bought us 2 tickets for the non 3D 6:30pm showing of Captain America. I was really pissed off with this Wrestlemania about turn. So we decided to go eat at the food court and there wasn't a place to sit down. A guy and his girl got up and left a dirty table for us to sit down and I said "Could you clean up your mess please and they looked at us like we were sub humans or somethig and I said something, "I don't know how they do things in your country," so the guy stared me down saying I was racist and "that's not cool." I said I was sorry I was pissed off etc, and that's not what I meant but he left without incident. A bit of drama. Anne got all upset with me but that didn't last long. I felt bad because I usually don't get confrontational with strangers. I was upset about not being able to use our Scene movie points for Wrestlemania and I hadn't had anything to eat yet.

After that I went to the Games Workshop store and Anne and I had agreed to meet at the water park or the theatre whichever came first. The GS store is a lot smaller then I remember it. There was a game underway taking place and I was able to talk with a clerk there about the books. They have a small selection but I got a close up look at the Black Library Horus Heresy Trade paperback books. There's about 2-3 of them I'd like to get but I usually get my Warhammer 40K books at Audrey's.

After that I headed up to the water park but I couldn't find Anne. It was about 4:30pm. I headed back to the theatre and found some tables near the elevators. I got tired of waiting there for about 40 minutes with no wifi. I headed back to the main floor and down towards the water park and I noticed her by "marine world" watching the sea lions. She wanted a drink and we went into London Drugs and I saw this really "cute" looking black wifi printer for $50! it was on sale and they had a lot of them. Toner cartridges from what the clerk there showed me were $15 for black and $10 for colour. Very reasonable and it came with toner. I almost bought it but Anne came along. We went into Chapters after London Drugs and I got the Warhammer 40K Omnibus book "Salamanders." That's about 20 Warhammer 40K Omnibus books in my library so far and . Then we went to the Captain America line up and after 20 minutes on my feet, we found some seats near the back.

The movie was awesome. on a scale of 1-10 I'd rate it an 11. I enjoyed everything about the movie. A couple of points though; first. It's not "Captain America and his Howling Commandos." It's Sargent Fury and his Howling Commandos. The Hydra agents are supposed to be in their green jumpsuits with a big yellow H on the front to resemble Yellow suspenders and a green/yellow mask. Other then those 2 points, I liked the whole movie. It was great. After the movie someone on the elevator going down was just getting out of Wrestlemania and we got some surprising updates.

We had a bit of a wait at WEM for our #4 to "South Campus." It's a stop just before Century park on the lrt. There were lots of Oiler jersey's on the train. I knew there was a game I was missing at Rexall on TV and I asked what the score was, 4-2 Oiler's. Perone and Hall each got goals and are at 27 each and Erbele got his 25th. After a bit of a wait at Clareview on the #11 we finally got home shortly before 11. We were out for almost 10 hours. All in all except for that bit of drama earlier it was a good day after all.

All in all except for that bit of drama at the mall, it was a good outing. We almost went for a beer after London Drugs but there wasn't time.

So, this week I'm in for Monday 5-9, Tuesday 1-9, Wednesday 5-9 and I have that appointment Thursday 5-9 and Friday 3-9, Saturday 10-6pm for 32.5 hours. Hopefully. Anyway, that's all for now.

I had some

fun yesterday putting a 2:00 minute "song" together. Just something that resembles "music." It's nothing serious, just having some fun with windows movie maker.

After I put my "song" up on my YouTube channel I got ready for the job. Anne had bought Burger King from across the street and I had the fries on my commute.

I love this time of year when everything is drying out. I've got a chance to get 5 hours of sleep before I head out this  morning and get some Tim's breakfast before a 7.5 hour day. Anyway, that's all for now.

Too recap events

from yesterday I woke up at noon missing my 11am alarm. I'm scrambling to shave, shower, feed the cats, get my stuff to lock up and catch the buss across the street. The weather was a bit cooler but pleasant in the Sun. I was able to read from "False Gods" waiting and on my bus trip to Northgate Centre. I was in the PCN waiting area for my 1:30pm appointment but I forgot the star attraction: My glucose reader. We agreed to increase the dosage fro 18-20. My next appointment is next month.

So I was able to visit with the Social Worker and our combined income put us over the qualifying threshold. The wasn't much they could do for us. But the support worker booked me a appointment with someone in AW to help me with resume writing and job search and possibly benefits.I hope to get a call Tuesday.

So after that as I was walking out into the mall, the sw said my wife was calling. After dialing to get out the phone wouldn't let me go through. I went to use the pay phone but the line was busy. Probably Anne calling me still at PCN. I said "F" this and went upstairs to the food court Taco time, Chinese food, too expensive. Instead I left out of the mall and walked over to my bus stop by Church's Chicken. It came by right away. The weather was still holding out. I had minimum waiting for my bus and home by 3:30pm. Anne made me something to eat and I got cleaned up and made a few lodge calls and head out to lodge.

I had a great evening making minimum amount of mistakes with with dignitaries joining me in the East. It was a great night. Beers "This night only" were $1 each, wow. I had a good time at lodge last night.

For today, I'm at my usual 5-9 and working all day Saturday. Sunday I'm off for WEM and Wrestlemania. Anyway, that's all for now.

I didn't get the call until later on in the afternoon

sort of but they wanted me in for 4-9. I got downtown shortly after before Anne took this picture of me on my way out the door. I post a Tweet of it just now.

Evelyn Paglini RIP March 31, 2014Dr. Evelyn Paglini, beloved long-time Coast to Coast AM guest, has passed away. She was a major player in the physic community. I wasn't much of a fan but I appreciate her contribution to the realm of mysticism.

Today I'm out the door 5-9 for my late afternoon commute but at least the weather is good so I can't complain. I like the shift but the money's no good, just get a grip  on yourself.

I've had a Flicker account for quite awhile now and I decided it's time to add a link to my photo stream on my website. I uploaded this photo of myself taken by Anne from our iPad yesterday. Anyway, that's all for now.
