We're still holding out ok here

in the city. According to Provincial models looks like we're seeing the early stages of "flattening the curve." We're at 87 fatalities here in the Province but most of the fatalities are seniors in extended care homes.

A gathering of open up the economy protesters have been collecting at the legislature grounds. They want to go the same route as Manitoba but that Province has had it easier then ours. Different circumstances. We haven't even peaked yet.

We were looking for a telephone headset locally around town but none existed. We had to go through Amazon to get one. I found one I liked with good reviews. We ordered it April 14th and it arrived yesterday. Pretty good  turn around time if you ask me. Anyway, that's all for now.

Saturday was a bit of a milestone

for me exercise walking wise. Ten thousand steps seems to be the mantra for step counters. I'm fortunate that I can get to 4000 once or twice a week. Saturday before bed I already had 2,500 steps it was relatively easy to get 6,000 steps. One of my lodge brothers was showing me his step counter earlier this year in the tens of thousands! He's a young fellow and his job is such that takes him on that journey. If I was able to do security guard work again, 10 even 20k steps a day would not be unrealistic. In my condition I'm quite proud of myself.

Since my work colleague of over 20 years, Frances and I have been chat Skyping since we've been working from home, we've become fast friends. She is the same age as my wife. Frances actually introduced Anne and I together. We like each other very much. I've always known that for every door that closes, there's always another that opens. Somehow. God brought Frances into my life. I'll always be devoted to my wife. Frances knows this. Frances has heard my story what happened to another blonde friend I've known for over 20 years that betrayed me. Frances is the same age as my wife, and said she could never do what my ex friend had done. I have my lovely wife, my job (work once in awhile) my health (more or less) time off life is good, all because of God. My ex friend is dust in the wind to me. It feels good to set myself free.

I'm hoping that my telephone headset I ordered from Amazon will be ready for pick up at the Clareview Post office, like they said by about Thursday or Friday. If we get another project this headset will mean I can work hands free. Hopefully the next project will be in May. That will be great..

On this date 40 years ago

I discovered something called Thelema.  I won't go into detail but it was basically crashing a party. Being someplace I wasn't invited but needed to check in on someone I thought was in danger. I even got the mother involved to come with me to extract my friend from what I thought was a dangerous situation for her. I was a bit naïve to be sure. I certainly overreacted on my part. If I would have left things alone, my life would have been totally different today and I would have missed out on some life changing experiences. One of them would not have been my journal and or even this blog. Today then marks the 40th anniversary of my discovery of Thelema. Anyway, that's all for now.

I had what i thought was a

big job ahead of me, what with setting up again Voicemeter, Streamlabs, Fl. Studio 20. I found a decent video that helped to sort everything out for me. Took less then five minutes. I was in Focusrite Asio instead of Fl. Studio Asio. Makes a big difference.

Earlier Anne went out to shop for a Windbreaker for me at Walmart. I asked at the same time if she could pick me up a Bp Angus beef burger take out. I didn't mind spending the extra on my bank card.

I didn't get a chance to go out today as it was pretty breezy out there. Tomorrow looks like a better day for that. Yesterday I got just over 5k steps in. That's been a record for me so far. That works out to be about 3.82k

We're doing what we can to stay busy. We can still go out, shop for groceries, go out for walks. Its still kind of difficult to go out anywhere. I miss going out with my lodge for our monthly brotherly love event. Nothing this month for obvious reasons. Anyway, stay strong everyone. Don't panic. That's all for now.

Nice weather, sidewalks and green spaces

for the most part all clear of ice and snow. A perfect sunny day for me to go get my steps. And what do I do? I forget my step counter? Most likely from here to 50th street and back is about 2800 steps and I have about another 300 on my counter. So just over 3000K.

My conference call was enjoyable and productive. Note too self, get invite ID first. LOL! This time I had breakfast virtually with the guys. It was good fellowship.

The United Food and Commercial Workers 401, which represents 32,000 workers, said governments should also bring in regulations that allow only one person per family in a store at a time. That makes sense because shoppers are putting these peoples health at risk and themselves. How the Government is  going to do this, I don't know. Wow, these are uncanny times we live in.

We're still in lockdown

here and social distancing is still going on. We stopped watching the National news here, but we like the local news. Everything seems to be going alright here in this household. So far no sickness in this family, even though Anne goes out all the time. I worry about her.

I haven't heard anything about work yet or any additional projects. My tennis elbow has  eased off. We ordered a telephone headset from Amazon the other day. Should be here May 15th. Anne modified my chair slightly to raise it a bit and put some blankets over and through the arm rests. I'd like to get a professional gaming chair but we'll look into that during the next Black Friday. Hopefully.

Yesterday I went on a walk on my usual route, so I got ~ 4,500 steps in for just about 3k. What with this being the nicest day of the year so far, when Anne gets back, I'm going to go out again. Anyway, that's all for now.

Its turning out to be a good

weekend, despite most places being shutdown due to social distancing. Essential stores and services are still open, many doing curbside service. I'm still in lockdown and with this cold snap, there's no reason for me to even venture outside. That's okay, my spirits are high.

Despite no hockey going on because of Covid-19, I'm not without things to do. Not that I'm bragging but Anne and I are still employed due to this situation. At the moment I'm in between projects, enjoying some time off. I'm considering an Nintendo Switch if there are any left around town. One can not make music all the time.

Speaking of hockey, by now everyone has heard of the passing away of Colby Cave, Oilers forward. Cave passed away from an unrelated Covid-19 issue. I feel for his family. Still onto hockey, could the NHL still salvage the 2019-2020 playoff season? There were suggestions all over the web, even hosting the playoffs at a neutral location in May & June. Anyway, that 's all for now.

This up coming

pay period I'll have more hours on my cheque then any I've seen in a long time. Assuming all hours worked for this project are on the same period.

I think I might have gone out of the apartment once last week just to get a folder of new numbers from the boss. She had the folder in her suv and stood 6 feet off to the side because of social distancing, while the suv back door was open. I brought a face cloth with me. Other then that, I'm in a self imposed lock down for the last 4 weeks. Speaking about social distancing. The feds might use something called control tracing, which monitors people's cell phones. The idea behind control tracing is too track people's cell phones if they are in violation of quarantine. That's kind of interesting.

I've got a nice small glass of wine here going to give me a bit of a buzz. We finished off the project Thursday. Not sure when the next one will be but I could use the break. Anyway, that's about all for now.

I had a nice weekend although

it was kind of touch and go what with Anne and I working from home at the same time. We had a few technical challenges to get over
but by and large, we got through them okay. I'm not sure how many day's I've got left on this current project, but I am working tomorrow, which is always a good thing.

While its not artic weather its been pretty cold around here especially for the weekend. With no hockey, only essential services are open. I had a good weekend re connecting with friends and family on Facebook etc so in that regard, I had a good weekend.

I've been in lock down (not isolation) over the past 3 weeks now. I've been out twice to get some walking when the weather was have decent. And twice to folders with my calling numbers from the boss. I'd get a call "I'm ten minutes away." I carry a face cloth with me, to open my door pressing elevator buttons, and the 2 lobby doors to outside. There's my boss 6 feet away with the back of her suv open. A few pleasantries, I get my folder with my face cloth, back the way I came. Its Anne that gets the groceries I worry about but the stores are now being responsible. Its day by day. Anyway, we're alright for now.

Its been a crazy week

this last week my friends, as the world struggles with this pandemic. Its my hope that you the viewer and yours are alright. We're still okay here in Edmonton.

Almost everything is shutdown here. Most likely same where you live. As for me, well I'm still working, for now. Doing this all from home. That's why I haven't been blogging that much this week but I'm still posting stupid crap on Facebook, Twitter etc. Working from home using Skype, has been an enjoyable experience. There's a shift underway right now but Anne wants me to have the weekend off. Monday I'm back at it for another 5 hours. For how long, I don't know.

Not much entrainment as the NHL shut down last month. I don't know why they couldn't have played where the top 8 teams are and do a win your in type thing in a round robin format at a neutral location type thing. They could have each conference finish their games in one weekend and the finale in another. The whole thing in an abbreviated format could be resolved, within 2 weeks. More posts coming soon.  Anyway, stay safe everyone, keep your distance, that's all for now.
