We finished the project on

Monday, which felt good. Hopefully, I can have the month off. Even better if I can get February and March off like last year.

Finally, the Oilers have woken up from the losing skid slumber. They actually won 3 games in a row. Tonight we're in Montreal and the talk of the town Evander Kane is joining the squad. Holland signed him to a 1-year deal. If he does good it's year by year.

This week one of our long-time lodge members passed away. Then I learned a long-time friend of mine that ended our friendship almost 4 years ago got married to her best friend's husband. My wife and I think that it's kind of ghoulish to Mary the husband of your best friend while she is barely 6 months in her grave. Oh well, Mary & Don, I hope you guys are very happy together. I wonder what Tracy's family thinks of all of this? Anyway, that's all for now.

We're almost near the end of this current

project. With any luck, this will be our last day or Monday. I have a shift scheduled for Monday but I don't think I'll get there. I'm getting burned out. With my last market research job, it was from 5-9 I believe. This is ok. Hopefully like last year, February & March will be quiet.

Before shift, I'm hoping to get a video. intro from my Sony ZV E10, which I bought last October. I haven't been able to use Sony's edge imaging software to upload a video over my wifi connection. I'm hoping during this time off I can do this. I have the app, where (apparently) I can transfer using bt video directly from the camera without removing the SD card that came with the camera tripod accessory.

While I was never a fan of the artist known as "Meat loaf," I was caught up in artists of the early '80s like the punk/new wave scene. His fan base was legion. Meat loaf never really did anything for me. He passed away yesterday.

We're out of our deep freeze from last week However, snow is in the forecast for 4/9 of those days and mostly overcast. Seems our coldest day will be -16 last day of the month. I'm going to try posting more often when I have time off. At least 2 days a week. Anyway, that's all for now.

Its been a good week on the

new but familiar project. I think we could finish by next Thursday. I'm going to try for 3 days/week at the end of February.

We had a nice weather day at +6. Other than Tuesday and Wednesday (-18) Then we're back to low single or above 0 but sidewalks and streets are slick.

Not much in my life going on. I'm just chillin, waiting to see when and if Omicron will peek. Basically hunkering down at home trying to ride out the storm. Anyway, that's all for now.

I don't mind the Saturday shift s long as I've

had a good sleep, some breakfast and it's only 5 hours. That gives me the whole night all of Sunday and Monday morning/afternoon. Right now we're in full swing of the project. I hope I get some work for the rest of this month, and February off.

James Webb is well on its way to L2 and fully deployed. There are a lot of other things that could go wrong with the tension of the Sun shield. Fingers crossed.

Other than Kontakt, it's hard to believe that I don't have my Native Instruments installed into Fl. Studio. That's what I'll be learning how to do tonight.

Last night I was messing about playing Castlevania with OBS/Nintendo Switch. I think the key to getting everything to work, is the Elgato game capture interface, my Camlink andof course my mirrorless dslr. Anyway that's about all for now.

Its 2022

a new year. I got back to work yesterday. We're still in this cold snap. Next week we'll be above 0 for a while.

Since my last post, I had got a pneumonia shot and my Covid booster. Right now, I'm just lying low working tonight 4-9.

James Web telescope is well on its way to L2. So far so good on that front.

The Oilers are struggling (again) They lost last night in Toronto 4-2. Another 5 games lost. And the coach said he liked their effort. Ok then. Anyway, that's all for now.

Last Thursday I went and got my

Covid 3rd dose "Booster" shot as it's called. The Booster is in reaction to the Omicron variant. The difference this round is I got the shot at the Pharmacy in Franco's strip mall Hermitage and 50th street. Same type Phizer, which according to a presser, "completely naturalizes". the Omicron variant. The shot didn't cost me anything.

Anne and I had a nice Christmas. Late Christmas evening we had her Christmas turkey dinner. I enjoyed it. We usually exchange gifts on Christmas eve after Anne returns from mass but Covid changed that for many. Anne told me that her sister Donna in Winnipeg, separated the unvaccinated from the vaccinated so mass can be enjoyed by all. Our family is Anglican but I've never known mom or dad to participate in anything like church. If they did, it would be St. Lawrence by Parkland school. No doubt their last participation would have been when my younger brother was baptized

The James Web space telescope was launched Christmas morning as it's on its way to the L2 point 1.5 million miles away from earth. It should reach that point 29 days since launch. After a bunch of tests. We should see early images sometime in June.

As for yours truly, I'm trying out a new font. This doesn't look like Comic Sans. This week is the last week of the year. It's been a heck of a year, what with Anne causing a small kitchen fire, in July and us moving into Wyndham crossing next door, yeesh. The good news is there was no loss of my income in 2021. That could be a good or bad thing. Won't know until August. About tax time, I might need to work 3 days a week. This week I've got to call Walmart today, and Healthcare solutions. I'm about to have another track uploaded to Jim Shannon on sounds this week. Not much going on other than that. I'm still active on  FacebookThis might be my last post for 2021. I'll be back in the New Year. Happy New Year everyone. Anyway, that's all for now.

I'm expecing my employer to call

between 1-3pm, saying she's out in the parking lot and has my holiday gift bag for me.  Also, I could be receiving my Camlink this weekend. I hope it's today.

Sad entertainment news this week hearing about the death of Mike Nesmith of the Monkees at 79. Speaking of age and dying, I'll be 70 later next year. That's kind of scary.

Not much going on this weekend. Next week, Monday my job is having a holiday party over "Teams." It's just for a few hours. Tuesday, I'm off to get my Covid Booster shot Kennedale Shoppers drug mart. Wednesday Anne and I want to try a place we haven't tried since about the time we got married: Canyon grill in the Rosslyn hotel. They have everyday breakfast, Then we have Christmas weekend. Anyway, that's all for now.
