minus double digit weather. 👍 This is more like it. Even overnight it gets to ~ minus 2. Hardly cold out there at all. Also, the ground conditions are improving. We got ponds on low level grassy areas just out here. By the end of this month, we should have patchy snow on the ground, +16 temperatures.
In a not so surprising move Rachel Notley called for a Spring election to be April 16. I believe she will get a 2nd term but it will (imo) be a minority Government.
If this happens it will be the first time in Alberta politics that a minority Government will be the ruling party. The front runner apparently is Jason Kenney (UPC) This guy is too far right for a Centre guy like me. The election will be April 16th. look out for that one.
I'm not sure when we're going to be called back to work. I think the boss said something about next week. I'll send out an email Thursday to find out more. Tonight, I'm watching the Oilers play in Saint Louis, Thursday I have an appointment over here at Freedom Centre Church in the afternoon take care of some lose ends in a nice way/Oilers play Columbus, Friday, I might have some business to take care of. Saturday out with a buddy for drinks at 02's. Need to watch my spending. So its not an overly busy week.
yesterday ended the project, so I might have another 10 days off. Its ok. Apparently something could come up sometime around the end of the month. We're going to get busy in the next few weeks.
Tomorrow I've got to head up to the rec centre to use the library's scanner. I need to scan some forms to be sent to a usb stick and then email them to my tax guy. After that I'm having coffee with a neighbor friend of ours. I'll be spending a few hours with her. The its back to my place to watch the hockey game. Sunday Anne and I are going out for a bit of a "birthday treat" for her. I'm hoping to be back to work next week or the week after. Anyway, that's all for now.
vey often but Facebook seems to be offline today. I'm not reading anything into this but it sounds odd to me. Facebook seems too be offline world wide. Some people are suggesting routine maintenance, others are saying that its some kind of global conspiracy. Who knows?
I had a full shift on the job last night and I'm in for another shift tonight (apparently). I'm just taking it day by day. Other then the coding I picked up on the new system pretty fast. I don't mind the mouse work in this either.
At least its warming up out there. Its still ~ 4 and a warm up to +1 latter. Next week, we're calling for mid to high single digits. With any luck most of this snow will be gone by the end of the month. Anyway, that's all for now.
been going on in my life recently with my job and my friendship with a certain someone, things are not that bad. I'm happy and content. Some people (you know who you are) need to realize that I am not obsessed or in love with (name) or anyone other then my wife. I'll never abandon my friends or through anyone under a bus. If I receive a text suggesting from one of my friends that is stressed out, I'll talk with them first. I'll always ask permission to share and discuss chat text's first. I'll never just walk away from someone without trying to work on a solution. Perhaps one such solution is space. It doesn't need to be permanent. Needing space can be 3-6 months or even a year, but at least let me know. If you have my phone # call me. I did not walk away from you. Facebook/messenger has been deleted off of all devices except my iPod and I changed my PW. I even changed my passcode number on my iPod as well and I log out of each Facebook session. I'm even considering parental controls next 😃My marriage is very important to me. So are my friendships either female or male. The above is a message for a certain someone. Maybe this individual will read this, maybe not.
This is some crazy weather we're getting. March is always cold around here. We got a good 2+ inches of snow the other day. Not that -13* is cold, its just the -19* wind chill under sunny skies. Temps are supposed to warm up to a balmy -3* latter today but there's always that wind chill. Sometime this week, we're climbing into the low single + side of things. So for example a +2 will have a wind chill of -6. Something like that. And when its overcast, that means snow.
Ok, onward. I woke up earlier then usual this morning about 9am having enough sleep. I needed to write in my journal. I'm not sure what's going on with my job or even if I have one. My spies tell me there was training at the beginning of the month and I had a shift last Thursday but that fell through. I'll be finding more info about this tomorrow. Other then that I've got 4 phone calls to make tomorrow. Pick up some tax forms, call ei, make a Doctors appointment for blood work, that sort of thing. As for today, WWE's Fastlane kick off show is at 5pm and we'll have our brunch at that time. Other then watching the Oilers burn up the last 14 games in their dismal season, and lodge Saturday, that's about it unless I get called back to work for training. Thank God for You Tube video's. Anyway, that's about all from me today.
last night the day before, I postponed yesterdays session for March 21st. Then yesterday my shift was cancelled🙄I also cancelled lodge last night as well because of work. The boss said they were having issues with the new software. My buddy over text last night said there probably wont be work Friday and Saturday. So I made it a trifecta and decided not to go into lodge. Its been a difficult week.
I've been trying to figure out how to record Korg Gadget 2's new automatic drum roll feature. I must have went through have a dozen videos on the topic. I was getting frustrated. Suddenly from one of my you tube video's I subscribers was using this feature. Ah, I see: hit record then play and touch the program. Works perfectly.
Last night I watched the Canuck/Oilers game. Oilers scored 3 fast ones and the Canucks scored 2 and near the end it was really tense. The Oilers were barely holding on to win 2-3. With 15 games left to go, the Oilers might not make the play offs but at least they are playing 500 hockey and have a slim chance. The next 3 games are at home, with Toronto in the house. Good luck with that one.
I might have work yet next week. We have our taxes done. They just need to be filed. I'll have enough to pay off my Reason 10 account at least. So this weekend, I'm going to try and have an upload to my You Tube channel. There's my usual live streams, plus WWE's Fastlane Sunday. It's all good. Anyway, that's all for now.
weekend. Friday begins with. ARTFX, then Saturday Plugin Guru, Sunday, Div Kid and Accurate beats. Then there are the streams like Ave Media, Molton monthly, just to name a few. Most of these live streams are anywhere between 2-4 hours.
So last week I downloaded the free update to Korg's Gadget 2. I've never needed to use the recording feature except for when they added the new update for some of the drum machines. For some reason the recording count in wouldn't activate. In settings the count in is always in the off position, no matter how many bars are added. I'll find a way to make this work. There is always the forums.
Our next Band of brothers breakfast which I like to attend wont happen on the 16th. Reason for this is a conference on the 16th. This frees me to attend Commercial lodge downtown. Its my wife's birthday but she'll be at work that day. We'll see how that goes. Otherwise, not much is happening this week. Unless of course I get some word on work. I got a meeting at the church on Thursday. Anyway, that's all for now.
wieners aren't sitting to well for me at this hour. Never mind the coffee I had moments ago. However after that, I'm still hungry and I could eat breakfast being served up in a couple hours.
Despite the above I've got a 6:45am cab ride reserved for me. I'll be dressed and ready to receive the phone call.
Yes that's right. Its -34* with a -42* wind chill and its just 3 weeks a way from Spring. Next weekend is daylight savings but we're slowly moving out of this cold snap and back to ~ single digit minus temperatures.
I'll most likely be back around the 1st intermission of the Oilers/Columbus game. Oilers might not make the playoffs this year but I'm watching 2 of the best power forwards in the business between Oilers Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl work their magic.
Other then the above there's been rumors and mumblings about work this week 😃 Helps me get my mind off my own Venus Di Milos (with arms however) wandering around somewhere out there. You know who you are 😎 Other then that and I'm trying to muck around with the new Korg Gadget 2. Its got new gadgets and enhanced work flows.
