The past few days have been busy on several

fronts.

Thursday I got a lot of the guys saying "Nice job." It doesn't mean the position is mine. I think my foot is in the door though, almost.

We also got a notice in the door Thursday saying that maintenance is coming in to do repairs Tuesday and we're needing to vacate the premises for 8 hours. They wanted us to take our cats and birds out of here during that time. We had no place to go. Anne called around and got our local vet to be able to take the pets in but that was a $60 fee. Then she called got us a room at the Grande Hotel. Its a old Hotel going back to the 1930's. When I was working in the Cobogo lofts building in the 1980's directly behind the Grande Hotel, we used to eat in the Hotel's restaurant all the time. For $70 bucks, that's a good deal for the day. $130. Here's a Google maps photo of the Grande. It's going to be a block away from the downtown arena.

Anne said she stayed here in the 1980's a couple of times. Notice the building to the left and behind? That's where I worked in the 1980's. It was a warehouse for the Army & Navy Department store. Today it's called Cobogo lofts. Fast forward to today the parking lot has a big yellow construction crane where the Ultima 2 condo highrise is going up. The Greyhound bus depot is eventually going to be bought up.

As I was ready to leave for work the caretakers came up to our door and said they have a solution for us and our pets. We can stay in the security guards suite. Great news. More later. Time for bed. Anyway, that's about all for now.
